You are my little buddies
That work all the time
How can I not admire you
Never complaining
How rough you have it
If it was anyone else
They would be the first to say

I can't do it

Even worse all my friends had to go underground for cover
Stepped on constantly
We don't wear clothes
So we have no style
We all look exactly a like

We know we are cool

Try to imagine how hot we get
No, you can't even come with any ideas
Boy are you lazy

We heat up faster than a hot charcoal in the fire
No we just go on are day to day routine
We listen to you all the time say
How bored you are at home and at work
All we do

If all this wasn't bad enough
Everyone is out to get us
With bug sprays and insecticides
Then we have are enemies too
The spiders with their tricky Halloween webs
They think it is funny
How would you like to be pranked every day of the year ?
People go into their fancy houses to keep them warm and protect them from the bad weather
All we want to do is hide out in your basement until the weather clears
You won't even give us the smallest space
All dusty and dirty
Could you at least sweep ?
We do so much more for are company
They are guests in our homes
We roll out the red carpet
We put them up in Presidential Sweets
Until we can build them their own house
When you have a whole house and furniture in every room
I wouldn't mind
Half the time you leave your house to go somewhere else
Off to work and driving miles and miles
You think you could offer us a ride ?
No chance
People everywhere have all gone soft
All you do is wait and dream
Going to the local casino
Spending every last dollar
Even if you get lucky
Up hundreds or even thousands of dollars in just a few hours
You don't know when to quit
You give it right back
So if you didn't blow all your money yet
Think what we could do ?
When we build high rises and huge downtown cities out of dirt
Then you borrow your so called money from a million and one banks
They are more than happy to take you money for your next silly vacation
You still won't listen to us

Bankers laugh all the way to the bank
Wake up and smell the coffee

Every morning you stop in a Duncan Donuts for a coffee
When you have a fancy and spancy Keuric coffee maker at home
Over priced and totally unnecessary
Spending all your money like water
We hold are tongues
Because, we have found most people
Just won't listen
So if you didn't already lose at the local casino
I am sure you are off to some far away destination
Going to the hot weather in Arizona and Florida
You think you could send us a postcard ?
Isn't that the least you could do ?
Let us know when you are going?
So that we could at least say hi to our friends and family
We don't get to see or talk to everyday like you do

About nothing
Don't get me going on cell phones ?
I will be here all night

We are home bodies
You really don't like us do you ?

You pay a security system to watch are every move
Once again we could have saved you a fortune

Then if things aren't bad enough
We end up with floods and forest fires all the time
Gusts of wind up to one hundred miles an hour
That is when we have it good
How about in the winter in the freezing cold?
You don't care
People use shovels and plows in snow storms
We have to use our own little hands and feet
Even after all the things I have said
You still make us out like the bad guys
