Trump, the Post-Truth Propagandist, Has Reduced the Presidency to Reality TV
Just how horrible is it that Trump can alienate our greatest ally? The buffoon did it simply to appeal to his base.
The article “Donald Trump retweets of far-right group Britain First's Islamophobic posts raised in Parliament -- MPs demand Government condemns US President over 'highly inflammatory' series of posts” states “Tottenham MP David Lammy said: "Trump sharing Britain First. Let that sink in. The President of the United States is promoting a fascist, racist, extremist hate group whose leaders have been arrested and convicted. He is no ally or friend of ours. Donald Trump you are not welcome in my country and my city."”
By retweeting this anti- Muslim propaganda Trump has emboldened a British alt-right group, encouraged anti-Muslim sentiments and further deteriorated our relationships with Muslims and Muslim countries we need. Trump doesn’t care. He needs to keep his white supremacist base happy.
British prime minister Theresa May also condemned Trump, who predictably retaliated. The article “Donald Trump attacks Theresa May over her criticism of his far-right retweets” states “Donald Trump has publicly rebuked Theresa May over her criticism of anti-Muslim propaganda, opening an extraordinary diplomatic spat between the transatlantic allies.
“Theresa@theresamay, don’t focus on me, focus on the destructive Radical Islamic Terrorism that is taking place within the United Kingdom,” the US president tweeted on Wednesday evening. “We are doing just fine!””
In his typical buffoonish fashion Trump sent the message to the wrong address for Theresa May.
Trump wanted to appeal to his white supremacist base and he succeeded.
Trump appealed to the alt-right at the expense is our relationship to the world. The article “Former KKK leader praises Trump for sharing Islamophobic tweets from Britain First: 'Thank God!'” states “David Duke, the former Ku Klux Klan leader, had nothing but praise for US President Donald Trump’s recent tweets featuring anti-Muslim videos from a far-right group in the UK.
Mr. Duke has long been a supporter of the President and tweeted that Mr Trump was “showing what the fake media won’t” and saying "thank God" the president was willing to do so.”
Trump doesn’t care about reality, as these videos were “fake news”, only appealing to his base as the article states” White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in response: “Whether it's a real video, the threat is real. [Mr. Trump’s] goal is to promote strong border security and strong national security."”
How can he disavow his “Access Hollywood” admissions of sexual abuse and how could he appoint an interloper into the Director of the Consumer Financial Protecti
The article’s headline “Trump is reportedly suggesting the ‘Access Hollywood’ tape was fake news. He should talk to 2016 Trump.” summarizes how Trump is willing to lie about anything. The buffoon was on tape apologizing for his sexual abuse. How can he pretend that didn’t happen?
The article “Dueling officials spend chaotic day vying to lead federal consumer watchdog” demonstrates Trump thinks that his red state supporters will believe any of his plots. It details the confrontation between the GOP (Mulvaney) and the Democrats (English) over who legally should lead the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau as it states “Both sides spent the holiday weekend in a war of words about the fine print in dueling federal statutes. English’s supporters argue that the legislation that created the agency in 2010, the Dodd-Frank Act, gave the power to appoint an acting director to Cordray. And some questioned whether Mulvaney would have the time to properly run such a large agency while also serving as the director of the Office of Management and Budget.”
Trump has contempt for his base and he is convinced that they don’t remember how our economy almost was destroyed less than a decade ago. Mulvaney has long lobbied against the agency he is being tasked to run. He won’t protect us against his scheming fat cat donors? Mulvaney is working against the 99% as the director of the Office of Management and Budget. Now Trump wants him to do it in two different areas.
What is the GOP tax plan other than propaganda?
It shafts the 99% both directly economically, but also it will subject more of us to being without healthcare. The article “The Biggest Tax Scam in History.” states “The bill Republican leaders are trying to ram through this week ... is the biggest tax scam in history. It’s such a big scam that it’s not even clear who’s being scammed — middle-class taxpayers, people who care about budget deficits, or both.
One thing is clear, however: One way or another, the bill would hurt most Americans. The only big winners would be the wealthy — especially those who mainly collect income from their assets rather than working for a living...
The core of the bill is a huge redistribution of income from lower- and middle-income families to corporations and business owners. ...
Meanwhile, the bill would partially repeal Obamacare, in a way that would sharply reduce aid to lower-income families and raise the cost of insurance for many in the middle class.”
The GOP is attempting to pull a ploy of introducing phony news to the mainstream media.
If the mainstream media had fallen for the scam then Trump would cudgel them with claims of “fake news”.
The article “Organization endorsed by Trump tried and failed to trick the Washington Post” states “Several weeks ago, a woman contacted the Washington Post alleging Alabama Republican candidate Roy Moore impregnated her and forced her to have an abortion when she was 15, in 1992. She was lying for money — and her paycheck came from an organization that counts President Trump as one of its supporters.
The woman went by the name Jaime Phillips and emailed Post reporter Beth Reinhard — one of the reporters who broke the story on sexual misconduct allegations against Moore — saying that she had something to share about the Senate candidate privately.
The story she told over multiple interviews at first glance appeared in line with recent allegations made against the GOP lawmaker, but her account became inconsistent and her background information didn’t check out — in one instance, a Post reporter called the employer she said she worked for and they said they had never heard of her.
With a bit more digging, the Post discovered Phillips had created a GoFundMe about getting a job with a “conservative media movement.””
Trump is always screaming about “fake news”. The lying hypocrite supports them as the article states “That right-wing group, Project Veritas, has a history of trying to dupe reporters, liberal groups, and Democrats into “gotcha!” moments — in this case, an apparent attempt to undermine the Post’s previous reporting on Moore’s sexual misconduct.
And that’s also where Trump, who has refused to condemn Moore and railed against Moore’s opponent on Twitter this week, comes in. Trump has long supported the so-called activist group, donating $10,000 to Project Veritas through the Trump Foundation in May 2015, and mentioning the group’s videos in various speeches — including one he says proved that Clinton and Obama conspired to pay people $1,500 to “be violent, cause fights, do bad things” at Trump events. And Project Veritas videos routinely appear on Breitbart, a site run out of the home of Steve Bannon, the Trump administration’s former chief strategist.”
The GOP now stands for the Grand Old Pedophile party, due to Trump.
Trump, the lying con man in chief, and his contempt for his low information base is clearly exhibited by his hypocritical accusations of Al Franken.
The article “Social Media Users Are Calling President Trump a Hypocrite for Criticizing Al Franken” states “President Donald Trump has criticized Senator Al Franken in the wake of allegations of sexual misconduct leveled against him, taking to Twitter Thursday night to weigh in on the scandal. Referring to the Senator as “Al Frankenstien,” the president alluded to a 1995 incident when Franken, then a Saturday Night Live writer, proposed a skit in which he would appear to drug and rape journalist Lesley Stahl.
Social media users were quick to point out that Trump has stayed largely silent about allegations that a Republican candidate for Senate, Roy Moore, made sexual advances toward teenage girls and assaulted several women. Others recounted an audio recording that surfaced during Trump’s presidential campaign, in which Trump was captured on a hot mic making crass remarks about women and bragging that he could “do anything” to them.”
Now that Trump is alleging that he didn’t make his “Access Hollywood” comments all bets are off. He can accuse anyone of anything and is convinced his low information base is too apathetic to comprehend when he is lying.
Trump is returning to the lies he spread about President Obama because that racist tact appeals to his base.
The article “Report: Trump continues to question Obama's birth certificate” states “Trump still questioning Obama's birthplace is just one of several instances The Times pointed to as examples of the President's reliance on "manufactured facts," as the newspaper reported Tuesday.
One sitting US senator quoted by the Times, "who listened as the President revived his doubts" about the issue, "chuckled" when speaking about what was said. Trump "has had a hard time letting go of his claim that Mr. Obama was not born in the United States," the senator, who "asked not to be named to discuss private conversations," told The New York Times. “
Trump can’t evade Mueller’s investigation with his reality TV antics.
Steele has given Mueller a firm foundation to work from. The article “Christopher Steele believes his dossier on Trump-Russia is 70-90% accurate”states “The respected ex-MI6 officer told Guardian journalist and author Luke Harding that his FBI contacts greeted his intelligence report with ‘shock and horror’.
Christopher Steele, the former British intelligence officer who compiled an explosive dossier of allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin, believes it to be 70% to 90% accurate, according to a new book on the covert Russian intervention in the 2016 US election.
The book, Collusion: How Russia Helped Donald Trump Win, by the Guardian journalist Luke Harding, quotes Steele as telling friends that he believes his reports – based on sources cultivated over three decades of intelligence work – will be vindicated as the US special counsel investigation digs deeper into contacts between Trump, his associates and Moscow.
“I’ve been dealing with this country for 30 years. Why would I invent this stuff?” Steele is quoted as saying.”
Trump’s son is caught via email dealing with WikiLeaks and they discussed how they would help each other as the article “The Secret Correspondence Between Donald Trump Jr. and WikiLeaks” states “The messages, obtained by The Atlantic, were also turned over by Trump Jr.’s lawyers to congressional investigators. They are part of a long—and largely one-sided—correspondence between WikiLeaks and the president’s son that continued until at least July 2017. The messages show WikiLeaks, a radical transparency organization that the American intelligence community believes was chosen by the Russian government to disseminate the information it had hacked, actively soliciting Trump Jr.’s cooperation. WikiLeaks made a series of increasingly bold requests, including asking for Trump’s tax returns, urging the Trump campaign on Election Day to reject the results of the election as rigged, and requesting that the president-elect tell Australia to appoint Julian Assange ambassador to the United States.”
The Trumps love to counter-punch. Let’s see how Junior does in front of the House!
The article “Donald Trump Jr. to speak to House panel in Russia probe” states “The House intelligence committee will interview Donald Trump Jr. next week as part of its investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, according to two people familiar with the meeting.
The Dec. 6 interview with President Donald Trump’s eldest son comes as both the House and Senate intelligence committees are investigating a meeting that Trump Jr. and other Trump campaign officials held with Russians in 2016. They are also interested in messages he exchanged during the campaign with WikiLeaks, the website that leaked emails from top Democratic officials during the campaign.”
In addition to his son, Trump’s son-in-law is also being investigated. The article “This Is What Mueller Probably Wanted to Know From Jared Kushner About Mike Flynn” states “Special Counsel Robert Mueller's questioning of Jared Kushner earlier this month suggests that he has incriminating evidence implicating Kushner in the ongoing probe into Russian collusion in the 2016 election, experts say.
President Donald Trump’s son-in-law met behind closed doors with the investigative team to discuss former national security adviser Michael Flynn, sources familiar with the meeting told multiple media outlets.
But the real target may be Kushner himself, because Flynn has likely given up some important information about Kushner’s involvement with Russians. Flynn has likely accepted a plea deal and is cooperating with Mueller, experts say.”
Nick Akerman, an assistant special prosecutor during the Watergate investigation and his thoughts regarding this are, as the article states “But Akerman says it’s likely the special counsel is investigating Kushner’s involvement in helping the Russians use data analytics to target voters via social media during the 2016 election. Kushner’s handling of emails stolen from the Democratic National Committee, which may have been presented to Kushner and the president’s son Donald Trump Jr. during a meeting with a Russian lawyer in the Trump Tower in June last year, could also be an issue of special interest.”
Attorney General Jeff Sessions is not answering questions. Why is he so evasive? The article “Democrat criticizes Sessions' non-answer on talks with Trump” states “The top Democrat on the House intelligence committee says Attorney General Jeff Sessions would not directly answer in a closed-door interview Thursday whether President Donald Trump ever asked him to hinder the Justice Department's investigation into Russian interference.
Sessions' refusal to answer the question from California Rep. Adam Schiff during the committee's interview was similar to his previous responses to lawmakers' questions in several open hearings earlier this year.”
Every shady Trump character is quaking in their boots because they know Flynn can implicate them all. The article “Flynn’s lawyer shuts down communications with Trump’s team, a sign he may be cooperating with Mueller probe” states “A lawyer for former national security adviser Michael Flynn informed an attorney for President Trump this week that he can no longer discuss the special counsel’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, a sign that Flynn may be preparing to cooperate in the probe, people familiar with the investigation said.
The call from Flynn lawyer Robert Kelner to Trump attorney John Dowd came Wednesday evening and is a potentially ominous sign for Trump and his close associates. “
The article “Mueller subpoenas Trump campaign for Russia documents” states “Special counsel Robert Mueller's team has issued a subpoena to the Trump campaign asking multiple campaign officials to produce Russia-related documents, according to a source with first-hand knowledge of the matter.”
The article “Trump's Campaign Foreign Policy Team Under Mueller's Microscope” states “Special Counsel Robert Mueller is continuing his interviews with White House staff this month, where a key topic is the connections emanating from a little-known foreign policy lightweight who served as an unpaid campaign aide -- George Papadopoulos.
Mueller has only given the public glimpses into his probe of alleged connections between President Donald Trump’s associates and Russian meddling of the U.S. election. But a court filing by Mueller related to Papadopoulos provides one possible path toward a case showing collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
Papadopoulos was among a handful of names that Trump rattled off in March 2016 to introduce a foreign policy team that was hastily assembled in the midst of his insurgent campaign. “
Speaking about Papadopoulos he is being open about his meetings with Trump. The article “Report: Papadopoulos Says Trump Knew He'd Meet With Foreigners” states “The Trump campaign official who admitted he met with Russians to get "dirt" on Hillary Clinton claims President Donald Trump knew that he intended to meet with foreign nationals.
George Papadopoulos has already pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his meeting with a Kremlin-linked Russian academic who promised “thousands of emails” that would hurt the Clinton campaign, but the just-reported comments from Politico would be the first time Papadopoulos' work had a direct link to Trump himself, rather than lower-level campaign staffers.
Marianna Kakaounaki, an investigative reporter for the Greek newspaper Kathimerini, said Papadopoulos told her that Trump called him personally after he was hired to the campaign in March 2016. Trump later met with Papadopoulos one-on-one, when the aide told Trump about his ongoing efforts to set up a meeting between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kakaounaki said.”
Trump, the post-truth propagandist, has reduced the presidency to reality TV for his sensationalism craving supporters.
Trump would rather distance us from our greatest ally in order to curry favor with David Duke. How valuable is white supremacists’ favor to Trump? How can he disavow his “Access Hollywood” admissions of sexual abuse? How could he appoint a dueling Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau? What is the GOP tax plan other than propaganda? The GOP is attempting to pull a ploy of introducing phony news to the mainstream media. The GOP now stands for the Grand Old Pedophile party, due to Trump. Trump is returning to the lies he spread about President Obama because that racist tact appeals to his base. Trump can’t evade Mueller’s investigation with his reality TV antics.
Trump’s incompetence is negatively impacting us domestically and internationally. Trump’s post-truth politics means that anything that he thinks will help him he’ll say.

Ivan Hernandez on March 24, 2018:
Very nice article. Without reading the whole thing, you've convinced me that Trump is a White Supremacist who shouldn't even be in office. Well done.
That means, though, that you'll have some very big opposition. I didn't read any of your article, but I already know the truth, and that is that Trump has made the Trumphouse his own reality TV show where anybody could be fired ON THE SPOT!
Well, gotta bolt.
Also, hundreds of people quit because of him, so that only complicates matters.
