Roads are the ones that link most of the towns and cities in the world. There are some which are decently made but others are really shocking. I will handle some of the roads which you can fear to drive or walk on.
1. Fairy meadows Road

1. Fairy meadows road
This is one of the shocking roads which you will even fear to walk on. It is in Pakistan located in the Gilgit-Baltistan region. It has a total length of 10 kilometres which lies at an altitude of about 3,300 metres above the sea level.
Tourists usually visits this road to enjoy the view at high altitude but many drivers fear. This road is unstable, narrow and unpaved which makes it to be the most feared road.
In addition there are no barriers to prevent a falling vehicle off the scaring cliff. This road was built by villagers of the Nanga Pabat mountain a hundred years ago. It is only accessible on summer and during winter it is closed.
2. Guoliang tunnel
This is another road which will shock you. It is in China which is carved along the side through a mountain.
You will really be shocked on how this road was constructed. Several years ago the inhabitants of this location kept on beseeching the government of the time for road way to connect them to the outside but all their efforts bore no fruits.
The government did not listen to them. They decided to sell what they had to pay several workers for labour. They used hand tools and were determined to carve a road way inch by inch. In five years 1977, they managed to dig out having several died during its construction.
The tunnel is 15 feet high and 12 feets wide. It also has pretty shocking 30 windows of various sizes and shapes. Today this tunnel is among the famous in the world.
3. Jalalabad - Kabul road
This road is in Afghanistan which is one of the most considered as shocking roads in the world. It is narrow and has sharp turns past high cliffs.
It has a length of 143 kilometres. It passes through extreme mountainous terrain making it one of the shocking roads in the world. If your fearful, it will be hard to drive or even walk on this road. Some part of the road passes through Tang-e-Gharu gorge.
4. Sichuan - Tibet highway
If you dare to travel on this road, you may pass through open landscape with shocking peaks vaulting skyward. You can however enjoy the changeable sceneries ranging from warm to cold and relatively snowing winter. It is in China.
This road is 2,141 kilometres long. Many tourists especially domestic ones have taken many trips to visit it. As a tourist, you will enjoy some sceneries including the beauty of the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Conyon and the snow of mount Gongga and great expansive view of Maoya grasslands.
Many are happy when using the Southern route to get to Tibet which is most beautiful. The northern route is escaped due to long roundabouts to get to Tibet.
5. Zoji la pass road
This road is in India. This road passes through the Kasmir valley to Ladakh. It is a high mountain pass road at about 3,528 metre above the sea level.
It is 25.8 kilometres long which is inclined and has narrow width. If you tend to drive on this road, you shall have driven on the world second coolest road. It connects Ladakh to Srinagar and the whole India.
6. Dalton highway
This is one of the shocking roads in the word and in Alaska. It covers 666 kilometres which runs through central and northern of Alaska.
It was built in 1974 to provide access for the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. When you tour this road, prepare yourself for a long drive and you shall make an enjoyment visit.
Darton highway is one of shocking roadsbecause it's only three places you can access fuel with all that distance. On the trip, you will enjoy views and experiences of American's Artic, wildlife and beautiful landscape.
