Sandals Resorts: Royal Caribbean Jamaica

I like to take pictures and make videos of our family vacations and share them.

Our All-Inclusive Vacation Get-Away

After our stay at Sandals Royal Bahamian in the Bahamas, just like the commercial says, we had the time of our life and couldn't wait to do it all again. So for our anniversary we went to Sandals Royal Caribbean in Jamaica. This time we brought my mother-in-law and her friend.

On Our Way

When you land at the airport, Sandals sends a taxi to take you to the resort. There are other people in the taxi with you as well.

At some point, someone tossed a bag of the devil's lettuce onto the floor. We didn't know who it was, but I assume it was meant for someone.

Everyone was just kicking it away, like were were playing a game of soccer. Personally, I didn't want to kick it away, we were in Jamaica after all, but we weren't sure what the penalties were for possession, and we didn't want to find out.

Above is our suite, the bathroom on the right. I'm a total sucker for the small details, like the cute towel swan they put on the bed, the beautiful bouquet of flowers with a hand written note for our anniversary and I love canopy beds!

Some of the suites have swim up pools like the ones below. We spent most of our time at the pool bar or on the beach. Had we decided on a swim up pool suite, we probably wouldn't have used it too much anyway. In fact, I don't think we used the pool we had near our suite at all. It was pretty to look at though.

The Beach

The beach was beautiful, the water was beautiful. The photo on the left is the beach at the resort and the photo on the right is the private offshore island. The structure is a restaurant called the Royal Thai.

Food & Dining

We decided to have dinner at the Royal Thai located on the private offshore island. In order to get there we had to take what is called the Dragon Boat. While we were waiting on the dock the sun started to set. It was beautiful!

I cant remember if the picture below on the left is from the island or from before we left for the island. Nevertheless, there was this super pretty wooden carriage I had to get a picture in. I wish it had a horse though. The picture on the right is me stumbling back from the bar. The bar was all lit up with lights and tiki torches.

I don't have a lot of pics from the island because it was dark and the photos came out grainy. But our dinner was awesome.

One of the nights we all went to eat at a French restaurant called Le Jardinier. My husband ordered seared tuna and when it came to the table, it was a grey color. So my husband sent it back. The rest of our food was good.

There are several places to eat or drink. The food was great, excluding the indecent with my husband's tuna. The only thing that they didn't have, that they did at Sandals in the The Bahamas, was mimosas on the breakfast bar. Somehow my mother-in-law managed to get them for us anyway.

Below is a pic of the outside dining at one of the restaurants Also some crows.

One of the nights we were there they had a chocolate buffet with a chocolate fountain. I think my mother-in-law took these photos of the chocolate buffet.

The Staff

Most of the staff was friendly but there were a few that were not. My husband had some issues there. However, I did not, nor did my mother-in-law or her friend. My hubby was stressed for some reason, so he was a little edgy. I didn't find out why until later on, but I will get to that in a bit.

While my husband was just chillin at the table, this bartender was dancing to Michael Jackson, mixing and serving drinks, all while balancing a large bottle on his head. The staff also started a dance circle a little later on. I am not sure if I took pics or I just cant find them.

Sandals - Montego Bay, Jamaica

When we went to Jamaica, Sandals had a play at all three deal. In other words you stayed at one and could visit the other Sandals resorts in Jamaica. We took a ride over to the other two. The photo below is from the infamous Montego Bay. The resort was an older one and was a little run down at the time. From what I understand they have remodeled it since. The photo above is from the beach at Montego Bay.

Private Dinner on the Beach

As I mentioned earlier my husband was very edgy and I finally found out why. For the day of our anniversary, he had been secretly planning a private dinner on the beach. This was why he was acting weird. Because he had been trying to hide this from me the entire time we were there, and why is why he was stressing out so bad. I guess they were screwing things up behind the scenes, but I had no idea. When I walked onto the beach and saw the table and the butler lighting a candle pathway to table, it was so perfect.
