A Walk At Rocky Neck Niantic CT
I like to get outdoors and walk, especially if it's a natural beautiful surrounding. I enjoy sharing my favorite spots with others.
Walking At Rocky Neck And Things To Do In Niantic
Rocky Neck is a Connecticut State Park and a popular beach in the summer. It's so popular, that in the summer, on a hot day or holiday, they run out of parking.
Rocky Neck is great walking, off season, when you can enjoy the quiet of the seashore with no hassle. Also there are no parking fees, early spring, late fall and winter days.
I enjoy walking here on summer evenings. If you have a season pass or a Charter Oak pass this is economically feasible.
Check the Rocky Neck website to find out when there is no parking fee. There is also information on their campgrounds and beaches.

I highly recommend the Book Barn which is very close by. It is a huge used book store consisting of many separate cottages. They provide free coffee and tea and there are picnic tables if you would like to bring your lunch. They have a number of rescue cats that wander freely around the property and sit on the bookshelves. There are goats that can be fed.
Don't overlook the town of Niantic itself. There are a lot of very nice little shops.
