What did I do while I was there?

I visited the Giraffe Center, where I got to feed and pet giraffes, and the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where I saw elephants up close. I also went on a safari, where I saw lions, zebras, and rhinos. In addition to the animals, I loved seeing the landscapes and experiencing the culture. Foods and cultures

Kenya is known for its diverse cultures, food, and religions. I was able to experience all of these things firsthand when I visited the capital city of Nairobi. The food was fantastic, and I loved trying new dishes that I had never had before. The people were also incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I enjoyed learning about their culture and traditions. One of my favorite parts of traveling to Kenya was getting to try some of its fantastic cuisine. There were so many delicious foods that I had never tried before, and it was a fun opportunity for me to expand my culinary horizons. There are plenty of dishes you can find around the country that cater specifically to different ethnic groups. For example, one of my favorites is Ugali (which is sometimes called Kikuma), which is made from cornmeal and served with stewed beef and vegetables. It’s similar in texture and taste to mashed potatoes or polenta, but it has an interesting corn flavor, too. Another thing I loved about eating out in Nairobi was being able to try new fruit at every meal.

Being introduced to different kinds of food was definitely one of my favorite parts of traveling to Kenya. It’s always fun to try something new, and being able to explore a country's cuisine is a great way to learn about its history and culture. I can honestly say that every meal I had while visiting Nairobi was delicious, but there were some standouts that I especially loved. Another thing I loved about dining out in Nairobi was how friendly everyone was. The servers would often engage me in conversation and welcome me warmly—even though they could tell from my appearance that I wasn't from around there! Plus, eating with friends and family is always more fun than eating alone, so it's another great reason why you should get out there!

Nightlife's In Nairobi

The music was great and the atmosphere was electric. I also found the people to be very friendly and welcoming. Overall, I had a great time exploring Nairobi's nightlife scene.

Was it safe?

I felt safe during my time in Nairobi. I didn't have any problems with crime or safety. The only thing that I would recommend is to be aware of your surroundings at all times. I always made sure to keep my belongings close to me and stay in well-lit areas at night. Overall, I had a great experience in Nairobi and would recommend it to others.

Rivers and beaches in Nairobi

Nairobi is home to several rivers and beaches, all of which are worth exploring. The Rivers include the Nairobi River, Athi River, and the Tana River. The beaches include Bamburi Beach, Nyali Beach, and Diani Beach. Each of these destinations offers something unique and is worth a visit.
