The Best Little Lesbian Resort In Key West
An Oasis

Pearl's Rainbow
Pearl's Rainbow, formerly Rainbow House, is the best women-only resort in Key West. Located two blocks from the Southernmost Point in the continental United States, it has many of the perks of a resort with the ambiance of a bed and breakfast. It's exact location is 525 United Street, minutes away from the top of Duval Street where the most fun can be found on one street. Pearl's Rainbow is an oasis in the middle of construed chaos where you can go to be replenished and revived. It is women owned and operated and the staff is female, friendly, and helpful. The one hard and fast rule is that there are no men allowed! The only men you will see within the resort is an occasional delivery man. Because Pearl's is open to gay and straight women alike, gentlemen callers can be received at the front desk in the lobby. This resort is a clothing optional resort, but it is done tastefully and most guests confine it to the pool area, if at all.

Rooms And Rates
Room rates start at $89-$179 per night for the smallest room up to $219-$379 for the deluxe poolside suite, which sleeps up to five. The price that you pay will depend on availability and the time of the year that you stay. Fanastyfest and Womensfest are the most attended events in Key West, so expect to pay premium rates. Compared to most resorts in the keys, particularly Key West, these rates are not bad. Many of the rooms at Pearl's have cute names, such as, The Love Shack, The Cozy Surf Standard, and The Island King. Do not expect the elegance of a high rise hotel like you may find in Miami's South Beach or Daytona Beach, this is more like your little private island get-a way. Don't worry about breakfast, a full breakfast, made to order each morning, is included in your room charge!
Resort Changes
Recently, no doubt due to the hard economic times, Pearl's Rainbow has expanded their guest list to include men, children, and whole families. While I understand why they felt the need to do so, it certainly causes me to think twice about booking there. But, there may be other's who feel that it was just the thing that Pearl's was missing. I have raised my children and when I am able to get away, I prefer an adult atmosphere. Either way, it is a very pleasurable get away.

Things To Do
There are so many things to do in Key West, it would be impossible to list them all. While you are there, you can rent bicycles or scooters for convenient navigation of the island. Free parking is sparse and feeding the meters can be costly, so once you find a parking space, it is better to stay there. If you prefer, there are taxis of all kinds, from motor vehicles to bicycle driven carts. Whichever way you get there, make sure you explore the island. Duval Street is an experience you don't want to miss; it has something for everyone. Shopping, restaurants, bars, and shows are just a few of the things that you will find there. In addition, there is the requisite snorkeling, sailing, and deep sea fishing. Many restaurants will cook your catch for you! If you just want to see the sights, there is the Hemingway House, the Oldest Graveyard, and many tours of historic areas, in addition to the ghost tours. Finally, there are beautiful beaches where you can relax and work on your tan and at the end of the day, make sure you visit Mallory Square to watch the locals put on exhibits, browse the boutiques, and watch the sun set over the ocean from the best seat in the house!

Well, it used to be for women only, but I think they allow couples in now. There are many areas of the keys that are more affordable. Thank you for reading
