Travel, especially the pilgrimage are the great pleasure for Sunil Kunnoth. He loves to wander with his spiritual sojourns.
The Kollur Mookambika Temple is situated in the small town of Kollur in the Udupi district of Karnataka, South India. The temple is an ancient and popular Hindu pilgrimage center with believers coming mainly from Kerala and, to a lesser extent, from other states, namely Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra.
The temple often called "Temple of Knowledge and Wisdom" since making a prayer here is believed to boost your knowledge and help you enhance your excellence in education as well creative pursuits. For the very reason, thousands of devotees visit the temple. It is an amazing power of the Goddess and an undeniable fact, which is certified by some well-known artists like K.J. Yesudas, a voice India had been listening to joyfully for the last fifty years. It is also endorsed by some other great film personalities and musicians. Yesudas conducts his concert (Sangeetha Katcheri) every year here on his birthday. He has never given a break for the concert in the last forty years. All this just to express his sincere love and gratitude to the Mookambika Goddess.
Those learning classical music and dances never miss a chance to visit the temple and make a performance on the Saraswati Mandap (a stage in the name of Goddess Saraswathi) for the divine blessing.
