A great scenic drive up Mt. Equinox. This is a private road that cost $20 per car and $5 per passenger. The path is about 5 miles that winds up the mountain to the summit. There is an observation deck and a small chapel at the top. There are some walking trails and quite a few spots where you can stop and lookout. The view is fantastic especially in the fall with the colored foliage. The only uncertainty is the weather. The clouds and showers comes and goes frequently and unpredictably.

This is a side trip worth checking out. While visiting Southern Vermont, a two hour excursion drive and photo op. Vermont is full of surprises, along with farms, streams, covered bridges and maple syrup, famous residents like Norman Rockwell and Robert Frost...a mountain top with a view.
