Living in Switzerland

I have been living and working in Switzerland since 1986. I got married in 1992. As a nurse i have a good well paid job. My family have traveled to many places, enjoy the benefits of social, health, security privileges, and keep savings for the future. One has to adopt the swiss culture and mentality of swiss people.

The first two years, was hard to adjust with the climate, languages, the environment, the ways of swiss life. After so many years we adopted the swiss culture although we still treasure our own tradition from where we came from, living with it day by day.

Switzerland is a nice place to live that i and my husband decided to settle down with our family. It is a peaceful country. Here has a high standard of living that is mostly cope up with higher wages.

We acquired our Swiss nationality in the year 2004. We have 2 children, a dog, a house with a little garden. We are contented with the status of our living standards, maintain a good job, take vacations 2 to 3 times a year.

Our retirement plans in the future, is to spend some months in our homeland and the rest months in lake Biel, Switzerland where we have a little wooden chalet just two minutes from the lake beach and river.

Hi bdegiulio !

Jungfrau is one of the famous Tourist spot in Switzerland you don't have to miss. The highest railway station in Europe is located 3454 meters above the sea. It offers visitors a high-Alpine wonderworld of ice, snow and rock, which can be admired from vantage terraces, the Aletsch Glacier or in the Ice Palace. On fine days the views of the Vogesen Mountains to the Black Forest.

An experience is the train journey to the Jungfraujoch, which runs through the Eiger and the Mönch. In the intermediate stations Arctic Ocean and Eigerwand visitors can enjoy the wonderful view.

The Train ticket is a bit expensive but you might have a discount if you Combine it with some in your destinations in Switzerland.

Please visit the Jungfrau Website.

Enjoy your trip!!
