Gift Basket Ideas Featuring Local Ohio Crafts

A gift basket can be put together with just a few days notice to make gift giving easier for those with little time or who are 'creatively challenged'

There are a few small gift baskets made up ahead of time for those just wish to pop in and grab a gift on the go.

Or, the gift baskets can be ready by appointment for you to pick up later.

Stop in at Diana's (and the other local shops) and pick out what you want to go in it (you can pick out all of the exact items or some of them and ask to have the rest filled in with other items like hand-crocheted hats and scarves in team colors; locally made in Ohio goods; a vintage or new cookbook... or just give your budget and a list of the types of items to put in the basket) and then the cost of the basket/wrap/ribbons... will be added to the total and get it ready for you.

A nonrefundable 25% deposit is required when you place your order ~ in case you change your mind or don't come back in to pick it up for whatever reason.

Please keep in mind that usually at, small, family-owned shops operate as no holds, all items are sold As-is no refunds, no returns, no exchanges and are a very small business and cannot take credit/debit cards nor checks.

Vintage Treasures are Earth-Friendly and the Hunt is Fun

Goldie, shown above standing behind her vintage jewelry counter, loved what she did and often reminded folks that seeking out vintage jewelry; handmade jewelry; and antiques or a piece of beautiful old glassware not only can offer you a wonderful gift opportunity for yourself or someone else, but you also are passing on a piece of history that will hopefully be treasured for many more generations.

Also, you may be saving some hard-earned money by collecting and giving these sorts of items, and you are helping to save our planet too by keeping these wonderful things out of the landfills.

Hubbard, Ohio does not want a landfill so help us to reduce/reuse/recycle - the fun way - the treasure hunting way!

Ceramics Made in Ohio and Red Hat Lady Items

Handmade ceramic figures are getting tough to find as not many people make them these days.
This Hubbard shop has quite a few. Most are boxed up and stored away with mainly the seasonal ones out on display to conserve space. All of these ceramics were made by the artist "V" who lives right here in Ohio. She lived in Hubbard at that time, but had her studio in Niles, Ohio before she retired. Both the painted by her by hand and unpainted (bisque) are available.

Red Hat Lady themed jewelry and locally made, hand-sewn pampering products like eye masks and neck pillows are on display as well so show your red hat attitude.

Made in Ohio Gifts

Baby shower coming up? A double-duty handmade baby pouch makes a great baby shower or new baby gift. They are about 25 dollars and up depending upon the yarn and details that were used.
These are great to keep baby warm and they don't get kicked off like a blanket will when you're holding a wiggly baby. Later, they make a great Pajama and toy pouch or a "Going to Grandma's bag".

There are also several types of crocheted hats, headbands, cell phone pouches, slippers, pillows and lap-sized afghans in many colors and team colors too - in children's and grown-up sizes.

Don't forget the kitchen and bath. There are hand crocheted wash clothes, dish clothes, soap sacks, hot pads, and potholders too. All of these were made in Ohio.

Pet Stuff in Hubbard, Ohio

There are dog and cat collars, leashes, outfits, and a few toys and books.
And, there are handmade in Ohio cat toys with real organic catnip in them - some sewn by hand, some hand-crocheted, some knitted by hand, and some are sewn on the sewing machine.
There are also donation cans set up for Hubbard's own Stevie, the blind kitty and for various other local fundraising efforts.

The handmade dog and cat treats are all natural goodies and made by a local lady.
