Cozumel, Mexico

After spending our first day at sea, we arrived in always fun Cozumel. This was my second time at the port. The first time we enjoyed an island tour that took us to a tequila factory where we got some delicious free samples, a local cultural museum, a beautiful rocky beach, and some local markets.

When you get off the ship at the port, you are immediately greeted with island sites and sounds. There are restaurants and cantinas, plenty of shops, beautiful tropical plants and ornamental water fountains. You can snorkel, take a tour, go on a boat ride, swim with dolphins, go to the beach, check out some ancient ruins, and much more! Even if you choose not to take an additional excursion, there is plenty to do right by the port.

Isla Roatan, Honduras

Isla Roatan is a private island in Honduras that is leased by Carnival cruise lines. When you walk off the gangway, there is an array of shops catering to a variety of needs and tastes. There are restaurants and refreshment stands waiting. The beautiful beach is a short walk down a lush, tropical trail where hammocks lie among the palms. The water beckons with its glistening blue waters. Beachside bars serve all of your beverage and snack needs and live Caribbean musicians play their music for the delight of the guests. Relax on the beach, shop until your heart's content, go snorkeling or take a ride on a catamaran. These are just a few of the adventures that await at Mahogany Bay. It truly is paradise.

Belize City, Belize

Belize is one of my favorite destinations that I've been to. There is so much to see and do! You can shop, go to beautiful Cucumber beach, among many other spectacular beaches, snorkel, ride a motorboat or catamaran, go cave tubing, zipline, and see some amazing ancient Mayan ruins, among so much more! We took a private tour and were able to see the city and go to the ruins. It was incredibly awesome! See the video posted below. This is one place you don't want to miss. Next time i am there, I MUST go cave tubing!

I started cruising in 2010 and it has given me some amazing adventures through the years. I have been on 7 cruises since then and all of them have left me with memories I will cherish forever. Cruising gives us the opportunity to see many places in one trip and it's all-inclusive. If you consider that everything is included, it's really very reasonably priced. I recommend creating an account and receiving the emails that alert you when there's a sale or additional perks available. I have been cruising with Carnival and royal Caribbean and I must say they were very similar, but Royal Caribbean is often more expensive. It is a little more "upscale' and carnival is known more for being the "fun ship". Some of the newer Royal Caribbean ships are also larger and slightly "more regal". Both cruise lines were great. The service is always amazing with Carnival and I can't wait until our next adventure!
