Hey Gus!

I appreciate your visiting and adding your experience - I never knew about those alligators! What a unique place! You certainly have interesting experiences and things to share.

Gustave Kilthau from USA on September 11, 2015:

Howdy Patty - Good article. I spent a year at the Navy Medical School Radioisotope Course (National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda) Only military base I was ever on that was surrounded by a golf course. Right across the street from NIH (where, later, my boss and I visited to get clued in on how to perform total body water testing. The lab we visited at NIH used alligators as their test subjects - their lab floor was covered with glass "alligator cases." Kinda different, that one. Keep up the good writing, Patty!

Patty Inglish MS (author) from USA and Asgardia, the First Space Nation on September 11, 2015:

I think a lot of us say, "Oh yeah, Bethesda" but don't know a lot about the city. Once, we visit, we see how much there is to enjoy and respect about the place. 9/11 is a good time to think about it, too. Thanks for commenting!

RTalloni on September 11, 2015:

What a neat hub. With some history and useful work info, you've given an interestingly fact filled look at at a place we have heard of but didn't know a lot about.

Patty Inglish MS (author) from USA and Asgardia, the First Space Nation on September 08, 2015:

@BlossomSB - How interesting to hear abut another Bethesda! Australia is a fascinating country.

Bronwen Scott-Branagan from Victoria, Australia on September 07, 2015:

How interesting! I really enjoyed this, and had no idea it existed. We have a Bethesda in Melbourne, and it's a hospital that has a very good reputation. I think it was originally started by the Salvation Army.

Patty Inglish MS (author) from USA and Asgardia, the First Space Nation on September 07, 2015:

@mckbirdbks - Thanks very much for sharing this on Facebook! I hope those young professionals find it useful; it's often difficult to find a job all on one's own, without some information.

mckbirdbks from Emerald Wells, Just off the crossroads,Texas on September 06, 2015:

Hello Patty. This looks like a great area for young professionals. I shared this on Facebook. There are many young professionals in the group. As always you have gathered, compiled and presented great information.

Patty Inglish MS (author) from USA and Asgardia, the First Space Nation on September 05, 2015:

How about that!? Glad you are safe.

drbj and sherry from south Florida on September 05, 2015:

Since you ask, Patty - Last week, every citizen only exhaled ... and blew the pending hurricane away!

Patty Inglish MS (author) from USA and Asgardia, the First Space Nation on September 05, 2015:

@drbj - There is a lot going on in Bethesda! How are things in Florida?

drbj and sherry from south Florida on September 05, 2015:
