Best Tourist Attractions in Iceland

As mentioned in my previous articles I love travelling around the world, getting to be able to experience the wonderful things this world has to offer. I am going to talk about some of the most popular tourist attractions around Iceland.

I have only been to Iceland once, but would definitely love to go back one day. There are many things to do within Iceland, and it is extremely beautiful as well. Iceland is one of the nicest vacations I have ever had, and has something for the entire family to enjoy.

Gulfoss Falls

Gulfoss Falls is located within the southwestern part of Iceland, and is about one hundred and four feet in size. Gulfoss Falls is by far one of the most popular tourist attractions within Iceland, and it sets the scene to be extremely romantic, which would make a great attraction if you're on a honeymoon.

I have only been to the Gulfoss Falls twice, and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. I would definitely love to go back one day, and is one of attraction I would highly recommend checking. The Gulfoss Falls has an amazing hiking trail that leads up to the falls, and the wildlife you will come across is pretty amazing as well.

Harpa Concert Hall

Harpa Concert Hall is located within Reykjavik, and was opened in 2011. The Harpa Concert Hall has very beautiful architecture throughout it, and has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland. The Harpa Concert Hall is about three hundred thousand feet in size, and holds some of the most amazing events, you will ever get to see.


Grjotagia Lava Cave

Grjotagia Lava Cave is located in the northern part of Iceland and, it also has a beautiful spring inside. The Grjotagia Lava Cave has become extremely popular over the years, and it's definitely an attraction the entire family can enjoy. The Grjotagia Lava Cave was founded back in the eighteenth century, and is used in television series as well.

I have been to The Grjotagia Lava Cave once, and was not expecting it to be as beautiful as it was, and I would highly recommend checking it out. The Grjotagia Lava Cave set the scene to be very romantic, and would make a fantastic spot if you're on your honeymoon.

Skogafoss Waterfall

Skogafoss Waterfall is located in the southern part of Iceland, and is about two hundred feet tall. The Skogafoss Waterfall is the biggest waterfall within Iceland, and it's definitely one of the most beautiful as well. The Skogafoss Waterfall has an amazing hiking trail that leads up to the falls, and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking.

I have been to The Skogafoss Waterfall four times, and love it each and every time. The Skogafoss Waterfall was used for filming in numerous movies, which is what made it so popular, but the beauty of the falls is what made people want to come back over and over again.

Djupalonssandur Beach

Djupqlonssandur Beach is located in the western part of Iceland, and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland. The Djuplonssandur Beach has black sand that stretches across it, and the scenery that surrounds it, is completely breathtaking. The Djuplonssandur Beach has the most amazing sunsets, and is one attraction I highly recommend checking out.

I have been to The Djuplonssandur Beach twice, and I absolutely love it. The Djuplonssandur Beach has something for the entire family to enjoy, and sets the scene to be extremely romantic, and would make a great spot for a honeymoon.

Hekla Volcano

Hekla Volcano is in the southern part of Iceland, and it is the most active Vocano in Iceland. The Hekla Volcano is a little over forty eight hundred feet tall, is known to be called the gateway to Hell. The Hekla Volcano was founded back in the Middle Ages, and last erupted in the year 2000. The sunsets that around that surround the Hekla Volcano is gorgeous, and the scenery around it is pretty incredible as well.

Vatnajokull National Park

Vatnajokull National Park located in the southern part of Iceland, and it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland. The Vatnajokull National Park was opened in 2008, and has something for the entire family to enjoy. The Vatnajokull National Park is over fourteen thousand kilometres in size, and the landscape throughout it is pretty incredible.

The Vatnajokull National Park has many beautiful trails throughout it, and the wildlife you will come across as pretty fantastic as well. I have been too The Vatnajokull National Park three different times, and would love to go back one day.

Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon

Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon is located in the southern part of Iceland, and has numerous icebergs throughout it. The Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon has extremely Blue Waters, and is about is about fifteen hundred meters in size. The Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon is extremely beautiful, and it definitely is an attraction I would highly recommend checking out.

The Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon has the most amazing sunsets that you will come across in Iceland, and set the scene to be extremely romantic, so if you were on your honeymoon this is one attraction you definitely will want to check out. I have been to The Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon five times, and each time is more beautiful than the last.

Tjornin Lake

Tjornin Lake is located within Reykjavik, and is one of the most popular tourist attractions for families. The Tjornin Lake is quite beautiful, and the sunsets that occur are absolutely amazing. The Tjornin Lake is one I highly recommend checking out, and the children qbsolutely love feeding the birds, which makes it all the more popular.

I have been to The Tjornin Lake five times, and it is incredible each and every time. The Tjornin Lake has amazing wildlife that you will come across, and the scenery that surround it, is absolutely fantastic.

Solheimjokull Glacier

Solheimajokull Glacier is located in the southern part of Iceland, and it's one of the most popular tourist attractions within Iceland. The Solheimajokull Glacier has a pretty amazing hiking trail, and the scenery that surrounds the Solheimajokull Glacier is absolutely amazing. The Solheimajokull Glacier also has many tours you can take throughout the year, and is one attraction I highly recommend checking out.

I have only been to The Solheimajokull Glacier twice, and would love to go back one day. This is an amazing tourist attraction for the entire family to enjoy, and one you definitely will not be disappointed in. The Solheimajokull Glacier is a big part in culture within Iceland, and the sunset is pretty incredible as well.

Iceland has so many things you can do, while you're vacationing there. These are some of my favourite spots within Iceland, and hope one day you will be able to experience them for yourself. That is a nice photo of Gulfoss Falls. I could never get a rainbow to show up in the mist. Also, I never saw the Harpa Concert Hall at night, only in the day. That is lovely.
