As mentioned in my previous articles I love travelling, being able to experience the many wonderful things this world has to offer is a true passion of mine. I am going to talk about some of the most popular tourist attractions in South Dakota, and they definitely have something for the entire family to enjoy. I have been to South Dakota nine times, and would really like to go back one day. South Dakota is mostly known for its rich history, but is also extremely beautiful.

Great Plains Zoo

Great Plains Zoo is located in Sioux Falls, and has become one of the most popular tourist attractions for families in South Dakota. The Great Plains Zoo was opened back in 1963, and truly has an amazing history to it. The Great Plains Zoo is not only a fun experience but also very educational, and has over one thousand different animals.

I have been to the Great Plains Zoo six times, and definitely would love to go back one day. The Great Plains Zoo is also the home to an incredible National History Museum, and have some pretty amazing exhibits as well. The Great Plains Zoo has some awesome agriculture throughout the area, and they also hold several incredible events throughout the year as well.

Custer State Park

Custer State Park is located in Custer, and was opened back in 1912. The Custer State Park is about seventy one thousand acres in size, and has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in South Dakota. The Custer State Park has an amazing history to it, and is mostly known for its incredible grasslands.

I have only been to Custer State Park twice, but would really like one day to go back. The Custer State Park has some incredible hiking trails, and the scenery you will come across is truly breathtaking. The Custer State Park is the home of about fifteen hundred different animals, and is definitely one attraction I would highly recommend checking out.

Jewel Cave National Monument

Jewel Cave National Monument is located in Custer, and is over twelve hundred acres in size. The Jewel Cave National Monument was created back in 1908, and truly has an amazing history to it. The Jewel Cave National Monument has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in South Dakota, and is one of the largest caves in the world.

I have been to the Jewel Cave National Monument four times, and would love the chance to go back one day. The Jewel Cave National Monument has amazing tours you can take, and is not only a fun experience but also very educational as well. The Jewel Cave National Monument has incredible wildlife you will encounter, and the walking trails are truly amazing.

South Dakota Air & Space Museum

South Dakota Air & Space Museum is located in Box Elder, and has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in South Dakota. The South Dakota Air & Space Museum was opened back in 1983, and is more geared towards adult generation. The South Dakota Air & Space Museum has a collection size of about twenty five different aircrafts, and has an amazing history to it. I have been to the South Dakota Air & Space Museum six times, and would love to go back one day. Palisades State Park is located in Minnehaha, and has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in South Dakota. The Palisades State Park is about one hundred and fifty seven acres in size, and features cliffs and rocks completely made out of pink Sioux quartzite. The Palisades State Park has an amazing history to it, and the agriculture is truly amazing.

I have been to the Palisades State Park three times, and would absolutely love to go back one day. The Palisades State Park has scenery that is truly breathtaking, and the wildlife you will encounter is truly amazing. The Palisades State Park sets the scene to be incredibly romantic, and would make a fantastic spot if you are on your honeymoon.

South Dakota is truly beautiful, and is definitely an amazing spot for a family vacation.
