Burj Khalifa stands tall in the center of Downtown Dubai. Downtown Dubai offers the very best of shopping, entertainment, outdoor and indoor recreation centers, parks, residences, and open spaces dotted with lakes and spectacular water features.
The Burj Khalifa in Dubai, U.A.E, is the tallest building in the world. It towers at a height of 828 meters. The Burj Khalifa has a “Y” shaped plan with wings allowing maximum outward views. This plan also allows a great amount of sunlight to penetrate the building.
The Burj Khalifa has a central core with three elements arranged around it. This triple-lobed footprint of the building was inspired by the plant Hymenocalis.
The crowning glory of Burj Khalifa is the telescopic spire which is made up of 4,000 tons of structural steel. This spire was constructed from inside the building and jacked up to a full height of over 200 meters using a hydraulic pump.
The spire looks as though it is reaching out towards the sky and is an integral part of the completion of this awe-inspiring landmark - “The Burj Khalifa.”
At the Top
"At the Top," Burj Khalifa consists of 360-degree observation decks at levels 124 and 125.
"At the Top," Burj Khalifa SKY is another observation deck at 555 meters that offers mind-blowing views of the city from an outdoor terrace and a premium lounge.
Tickets to the observations decks get booked quickly, so book your tickets online in advance, or you can book tickets in person at the ticket counter.
Burj Khalifa Island Park
The Burj Khalifa Island Park spanning 29,000 sqm is located at the base of the Burj Khalifa Tower. It is a great place to watch the Dubai Fountains.
The Burj Khalifa Island Park features fountains, garden palms, walkways, and flowering trees. The design of this park is also inspired by the Hymenocalis flower.
The Dancing Fountains
The Dancing Fountains is just outside the Burj Khalifa. Watching these fountains dance in synchronous harmony is once in a lifetime experience, not to be missed. It is recognized as the world's largest musical fountain.
