Iconic hotel in Dubai

Dubai is well known as the Eldorado of the east and I've stated this a number of times. I've had the privilege of being in this city any number of times both singly and with my girlfriend and I can say it's one of the best places to be in the world. Dubai has iconic hotels many of them member of the global chain of hotels and one of them is the Taj group.

The Taj group is an Indian brand in the world hospitality market. They have a opened a five star facility in Dubai as well. The Taj Hotel group has a service record of over a100 years. Their first hotel was the Taj Mahal Hotel which opened in Mumbai over 100 years back. The Hotel group now brings this service record to Dubai and is known as Taj Palace Dubai Hotel. In London there is the famous St. James Hotel which is part of the Taj Group. The Taj group is part of the Tata Empire and was launched by Sir Jamshedji Tata in late 19th century.

Whenever I am in Dubai, I make it a point to stay in this hotel which is a five star luxury hotel albeit at the cost of my company but that is part of the game.

The hotel

The Taj Palace Dubai Hotel is 2 km from the city commercial center and that gives it access to the Family Fun Park, Dubai Healthcare City and Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum House. The airport is only 4 km away. The Dubai Exhibition Centre and Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre are also in close proximity to the hotel, giving it a distinct edge.

The location of the Taj Dubai helps a tourist to make use of the Arabian shopping bazaars as well as visit the museums and the cultural centers. The hotel by international standards on a ten point scale can be awarded 7.5 points. The hotel has 147 executive rooms and 10 executive suits along with 2 Royal suites. These are furnished luxuriously.

The size of the rooms is 61 square meters inclusive of balcony and these make the Taj rooms among the largest in Dubai.
The Hotel also offers 90 deluxe fully furnished apartments, but these are fairly costly and can burn a hole in ones pocket. People who come for a longer stay generally make use of these apartments. The service apartments are self contained and come with a complete operational kitchen. A room for a maid or servant is an added feature.

The Taj Dubai showcases the local culture and the guest cannot, but be impressed with the ballroom which is shaped like an Arabian tent. The tent is the hallmark of the desert. The bargain rates which were available when the recession was on in Dubai is now a thing of the past and with Dubai economy picking up the Taj rates have again gone up.

Dubai has again opened up and visitors are steaming in. Despite the China Virus restrictions visitors are flocking to this city for entertainment, shopping and fun.

A breath-taking fusion of rich Indian heritage, signature Taj service, generous local traditions and contemporary design, Taj Dubai resides at the heart of the entertainment district. It is just a stones throw away from the Burj Khalifa the tallest tower in the world.

People would be interested in hotel rates. They go up from $175 for a day and that is pretty cheap compared some of the other properties around. Luxury suites will cost more. The Maharajah suite will set you back by $2500 a day. There is an array of restaurant's and bars as well and you can have the Macallan ( single malt scotch) and relish it with your girl.

There is not much of traffic these days but it will catch up with Expo21 on the anvil. Best of luck friends and anybody wanting some more info, it will be my pleasure to provide it.
