Curious & excited to write a travel blog? Here are the four beneficial factors of travel writing for a travel lover.
Variety is the essence of life. Talking about traveling there is a varied range from trekking, camping, skiing to city life tours, and chilling at the beach. As we step out of our house and set ourselves on a venture we meet many different types of co-travelers.
Either it depends upon which kind of trip we choose or many times we can see all kinds of travelers on the same trip. We generally spend the most time on our trips with whom our wavelengths match. So amidst all the passengers, there are a few people with whom everybody is comfortable to travel with.
They are helpful, connect well, and keep the other tourists cheerful with their vibes. Besides this, they have the habits that make them world-class travelers. let's dig deeper into those habits.
Habit 1. Receptiveness
They love the sensation of an unplanned trip. They are ready to embrace and explore the beauty of a sight that is not planned to visit. Co-travelers enjoy their company. They are supportive.
They love to share the food they eat. They connect well with the people and share their globe-trotting experiences. Later when you come back home as you memorize your trip, you think about them as they were fun to travel with.
Having experience of the thrilling adventures, they help the newbies at the treks to cross a difficult path like a slippery surface or a narrow bridge.
Habit 2. Adjusting Nature
They enjoy the moments of the journey. They know that everything is temporary. They think globally by adjusting themselves and welcome the difference in cultures and lifestyles of people at the place of vacation, just like it is said, "While in Rome, do as Romans do".
For example - If you go to Europe and you want to drive a rented car then you must follow their driving and traffic rules. You will have to learn the left-hand drive. These travelers enjoy the French Bread in Paris, Idlis in Tamil Nadu, Pizza in Italy, and Paratha in Punjab.
They never complain about not getting their favorite dish to eat. No narcissist has ever been the best traveler.
Habit 3. Giving Honest Feedback
They never hesitate to honestly express their opinions, which may be good or bad about their trips. They avoid yelling but they systematically inform the hotel manager about the poor services or the quality of the food and facilities. They give frank feedback to the travel companies to improve their tour packages.
If they notice something good, they immediately compliment. They respect not only the tour leaders but also everyone that makes their journey fruitful like the waiters, the bus and taxi drivers, air hostess, pilots, the luggage carrying men, the janitor, and many more.
This habit makes travel companies to consider their genuine reviews and make changes accordingly.
Habit 4. Curiosity
Curiosity is the habit that they have inculcated since childhood. It helps a lot when you are out on the holidays. It makes you explore the amazing facts about the vicinity, know more about the lifestyle, and the foods which are famous out there.
If you are a keen observer, then it will help you gain more knowledge about historical places like the Museum, world heritage destinations like Rome, ancient forts and castles, Basilicas and Churches.
Habit 5. Carrying Extra Bucks
You never know when you will need extra money. Mostly when you want to chase the rainbows which someone told you is worth watching, you need some extra money in the pocket.
We all are advised to keep a particular amount of money with us. But an ideal world-class traveler takes a bit more than usual money as he is aware that if he finds something unique that may be a food dish, a good wine, a souvenir that he can't find in his hometown, he will be able to spend some extra bucks on it.
He is also wise enough about where to save money and where to spend it.
Habit 6. Preparation
An Ideal traveler is well Equipped with clothes, money, and identity proof (a passport when abroad). At cold destinations, he carries the warm jackets and at hot destinations, he carries the swimsuits and chilling outfits. He doesn't pack his back at the eleventh hour.
He also carries a first - aid kit with him (if it's allowed) for the safety of himself and his family or group in case of any injuries.
Habit 7. Patience
Especially on the international tour, It's a whole new world. you will have to stay in the queue at the airport for the passport formalities, there is no way out. At the world-famous places like Disneyland, you will have to wait in the line for enjoying the rides.
Most of the time you will have to be in a queue for getting tickets to London -Eye and Eifel Tower. The price of patiently standing in the queue is the mesmerizing view of the most awaited dream destination.
Habit 8. Punctuality
Mostly while roaming in groups, you will have to follow the lunch and the dinner hours as per your trips scheduling so that it does not affects your next sightseeing timings.
You have to get up after waking up calls or it will be a delay for the entire group. yes, there are some amazing spots which are worth lingering, you can't help looking and admiring the beauty for hours. for example - The Eiffel Tower, Paris. But in general, if you delay then it affects the overall routine of your tour.
If traveling is what you are passionate about, ask yourself whether you have the above qualities to become a world-class traveler. If yes, then get set go. If no, then observe the one who has these qualities and try to instill them. You will realize how helpful these simple but worth implementing habits are when you start traveling more.
