Possessing a height of 679 m and 118 stories, Merdeka 118, a megatail skyscraper in Jalan Hang Jebat Kuala Lumpur is the second tallest building in the world. It surpasses the Shanghai Tower which was previously the second tallest skyscraper in the world. The building was completed this year, 2022.
Some fun facts about the Merdeka 118: it is the first megatall skyscraper in southeast Asia and Malaysia. It is also the tallest building in the whole of Malaysia and Southeast Asia and most commonly, it is the second tallest skyscraper in the world.

The Shanghai Tower is located in the Lujaizui Finance and Trade zone of Chinese city of Shanghai. It has a height of 632 m (2,073 ft.) and 128 stories. China has five tallest buildings but the Shanghai Tower is the tallest of them all being the third tallest in the world. It was completed in 2015 and made public a year later; 2016.
A fun fact about the Shanghai Tower is that it has one of the World’s fastest elevators which ascends at a speed of 18 meters per second. Also, convinently, it can accommodate up to 17,000 people.

The fourth tallest building in the world being the Makkah Clock Royal Tower is 601 meters tall having 120 stories. This skyscraper was completed in 2012. It is a clock tower of which the clock face can be seen from a distance of 25 kilometers away.

5. Ping An International Finance Center
The Ping An International Finance Center is located in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. It is a 116-storey Skyscrapper having a height of 599 meters (1,965 ft.) The Ping An International Finance Center had it architectural work done by the American Architectural Firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates. The skyscraper was completed in 2017, 7 years after the construction started in the year 2010.

The Goldin Finance 117 located in Xiqing District, Tianjin, China and owned by the Goldin Financial Holdings Ltd, is a diamond shaped building. It has 117 floors. Its height is 597 meters, 2 metres less than than The Ping An International Finance Center. The P&T Group designed the building and it is meant to be used for offices and hotel.
7. Lotte World Tower:
Lotte World Tower, the tallest building in the South Korea having a height of 554 meters is a 123 storey skyscraper located in Seoul, South Korea. It was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and the building was completed in the year 2016.

The Guangzhou Chow Tai Fook Finance Centre also known as the CTF Finance Centre is 111 storey and is 11 m below the One World Trade Center skyscraper having a height of 530 m (1739 ft.) It is located in Guangzhou, China. It was completed in October, 2016, 7 years after the construction started in September, 2009. The CTF Finance Center was designed by the Kohn Pedersen Fox Architecture Firm and is owned by Chow Tai Fook Enterprises.
The CTF finance Centre is the third tallest building in China and holds the fastest elevators in the world travelling up to 21m/s.
10. Tianjin CTF Finance Center:
The 10th tallest building in the world owns its position to Tianjin CTF Finance Center. It has a height of 530 meters and possess 97 floors. It is also located in Tianjin, China making it the second tallest building in Municipal Tianjin after Goldin Finance 117. Tianjin CTF Finance Center is designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP and Ronald Lu & Partners. Tianjin CTF Finance Center was completed in 2019.
