Pixiz Photo Editor

Pixiz Photo Editing and Beyond!

Pixiz offers high quality photo editing for free. You can create faceinhole photos, photo collages, apply filters and edit photos. With Pixiz you upload a picture and the picture can be retouched, modified using many effects and inserted into different settings where it looks to be part of the original image.

When you are finished you can export the modified picture, save it to your local hard drive or download it as an avatar.

While Pixiz is great, there are many other similar services like Deefunia, Photo505, Jpgfun, Photofunia and more that we will also take a look at as each service has some unique features and effects.

Combining Photos

This is a great example of how you can create a cool photo collage in just a few steps.

  1. Choose photo 1 to upload
  2. Choose photo 2 to upload
  3. Choose photo 1 to upload
  4. Choose photo 1 to upload
  5. Select GO

That's it. That's really it. Now, if you want you can edit more - but that is your choice, not a time consuming necessity!

Photo Printing, Social Media Photos and More

In just one or two steps you can DOWNLOAD your photos to your computer, you can create a link to use on another website (that's called EXPORT as this exports your photo to be saved on the web, otherwise photos are deleted every few hours) and easily SHARE your photo creations on Facebook.

Pixiz is easy to Use! Easy! Easy! Really Easy!

Ribbet Photo Editor

Ribbet is built on the same platform that made Google's Picnik great and is an easy to use yet powerful online photo editor. You can use Ribbet for collages, touch-ups and advanced photographic effects like curves and clone tools, fonts, frames, stickers, vampire effects, beards, and an entire pond full (yes, get ready to deal with some froggy puns) of effects. There are far fewer fun, faceinhole style features - Ribbet is for when you want to do some more serious photo editing.

Pictures4Fun - Effects like your photo on book cover

You don't need to be an expert to play with your photos, so it's time for some good fun Pictures4fun provides new original effects every day. Pictures4Fun is very similar to Pixiz and it lets you choose an effect from one of their categories (Photo Fun, Magazine Covers or Picture Frames) and upload your own photo. After resizing your photo you can download the fun photo to your hard disk or use it as an avatar.

Fotor Photo Editor

Fotor is a photo editing web application that's suitable for people looking for an easy to use and affordable photo editor. Similar to Ribbet, which is described above, Fotor is for a bit more serious photo editing than Pixiz, but still plenty of features for getting creative imagery.

It is especially valuable if you do photo editing on different platforms/devices. Fotor sports a Windows 8 interface (but also has a Windows version for 7 and earlier) and allows you to your photos a wide range of looks, to add fancy borders, to create a collage or simply fix some imperfections, Fotor is free to use so long as your browser runs Flash. Fotor's clean interface sports a dual pane toolbar on the left with thumbnails of all the photos (you can upload many at once) for your session on the right and your editing workspace in the middle of the screen. From this basic interface you have access to a full range of free photo editing tools.

BeFunky Photo Editor

Scroll to Continue

BeFunky Photo Effects allow everyday people to easily create photographically rich and artistic results from their digital images without the need for any technical knowledge. It is similar to Pixiz and has a few more options. A nice "step-up" from

BeFunky is a quick and simple tool for transforming digital photos into instant art work or digital comics. BeFunky offers an extensive range of effects, speech bubbles, accessories, graphics and lot's of objects that you can add to your pictures. These "one-click" photo effect options produce desired results effortlessly and each effect comes with the option to make simple adjustments. BeFunky makes it easy to get photos from your favorite web sites.

Pho.To PhoTo Fun

Want to change facial expressions in photos of people with just one click, or even create funny animations? Cartoon Photo! makes this possible! This online service is very similar to Pixiz and it works in fully automatic mode: you just upload a photo from your computer or from the internet by entering its URL, choose an emotion from the list (joy, sadness, surprise, etc.) and get a funniest gif animation, or a static caricature. The service automatically detects the face in your photo and also lets you adjust animation speed and picture size.

Photo Fun On Android Mobile Devices

Photocat Photo Editor

With Photocat obviously photos and animals are the popular theme! In the examples below you will see that Photocat offers the standard array of basic photo editing features - with the addition of an excellent collage option. Between the collage, some nice holiday features and some advanced handling of large images Photocat is a good option for folks looking for a free and easy to use Photo Editor. A nice cross between the pure fun of a Pixiz and the more photo editing features of a Ribbet or Photoshop Express.

iPiccy Photo Editor

iPiccy is a free, completely web-based photo editing and sharing application to give users everywhere the ability to quickly and easily edit, enhance and share their photos from any Internet browser. The interface is not as good as Ribbet and PicMonkey, but as those services move more and more features to their paid version, iPiccy looks better and better.

iPiccy offers a clear and easy interface allowing users to pull images from any Web site or file folder on their computer. iPiccy includes an extensive variety of easy Web-based photo-editing tools such as Auto-fix, Rotate, Crop, Resize and Color adjustment and Sharpen which you have come to expect in any photo editor. But in addition, iPiccy can also be used to turn photos into creative masterpieces, with clever special effects like liquify, painter, vignette, pencils, and many more. Some of these are features you would have to upgrade to premium service with other online photo editors. Like Photoshop, it even has an advanced photo painter that works with levels for the most complex types of photo editing.

Tuxpi Photo Effects

Tuxpi is a easy way to apply photo effects or picture frame effects to a photo directly from a webpage. you only need to upload a photo, apply a photo effect or picture frame and the re-download it the modified photo result. Every effect is one step! So it's a not a full service photo editor - but what it does it does with ease!

It has several effects not easily found on other sites - filmstrips and newscast are great to create fun photos. This is what separates if from the Pixiz and other services discussed here.

Picmonkey Photo Editor

PicMonkey, a creation of several former Picnik engineers offers a simple and easy to use tool for editing and altering your images. PicMonkey is my favorite photo editor - for the money. While PicMonkey has some free features, almost every time I visit it seems like another option has moved to the paid service.

Now, I commend their desire to make money and feed their families, but it is a more serious commitment than many of these fancy free and fun services. If you are looking for a quality photo editor that is easy to use - especially for novices than you should consider an investment here. But even then, use the free version first to be sure.

The entirely Web-based editor is fast and effective, and the cleanest interface for a photo editor (Web or desktop) that I've come across. In the left-hand column you see all of your options. And that includes everything from basics likes cropping and rotating to a full array of air-brushing edits. You can add icons and text and throw a frame around a photo. Basic edits consist of crop, resize, rotate, as well as color tweaking and sharpening. There is also an auto adjust button.

Fun Photo Editing WIth Enjoypic

Enjoypic is a classic faceonhole site. If you want to have fun and make humorous photos and animations and putting a face (yours, a friends or who knows who) onto a place where it does not belong, well then Enjoypic will be enjoyable for you!

Picadilo Photo Editor

Picadilo is a free online photo editor that's easy to use and powerful. You can transform your photos using eyecatching effects, versatile editing tools and a nice range of textures. Some of the best features are the photo mosaic and the ability to use multiple windows - commonly available in only much more expensive photo editors. You can let your creativity run free by loading more than one photo and working on them side by side. You can even select and copy regions from one photograph to another photograph.

Professional Photo Editing

I love editing photos, but when you have the photos say from a wedding, a reunion or a graduation you might want a professional touch. Tucia can add a person into a family portrait or remove an unwanted stranger from your photo. They can digitally open up closed eyes or fix hair. They can also offer glamorize and digital cosmetic enhancement options - get a tan, clear acne or remove braces. Simple touch-ups such as digital camera mark or red eye removal and cropping are also available.

Dumpr Photo Editor - Rubik's Photo Cube offers a tool set for turning your existing photos into works of art. Dumpr offers some unique online photo manipulations options for your photo uploads, links to photos and photos directly from your Flickr account.

Photo Printing and Photo Gift Savings

I save hundreds of dollars using coupons for Shutterfly and Snapfish. If you are not getting the coupons in your email than eBay is an easy way to save some money on photo printing and gifts.

Citrify - Photo Touchups

It's not like the world needs one more photo editor, but if one is going to be built at least make it a good one. Citrify is a great addition. The best feature is the ease of touching up photos. I took the above photo on the left (a Citrify default photo) and enhanced it to the image on the right in the first 4 minutes of using Citrify. No training. No research. I just uploaded the photo and used the out-of-the-box touch-up tools. Citrify does not have all the features of other photo editors - but for facial touchups with almost no training Citrify is awesome!
