Cloud Computing and Distributed Computing System?

Cloud computing and its advantages

The internet has provided a tremendous service with its innovative development in computers. The most comprehensive technology available on the internet is cloud computing. It provides cloud service providers and customers with useful advantages. With the advent of cloud computing, clients can now use resources provided by other companies, such as hardware, software, or storage, rather than having to buy their own. However, the cloud service providers supply these cloud services using virtual machines. What is Cloud Computing by Amazon Web Services | AWS". July 17, 2020.

The advantages of cloud computing

The computerized system shares the study of distributed systems and its application to get the solution of computational problems is a subfield of computing science.

Distributed system Wikipedia

There are a number of autonomous computational entities, and each has a local memory of its own. The entities exchange messages with one another to communicate.

High-speed buses or telephone lines are just two examples of the communication channels used by the processors to connect with one another. Local memory exists on each CPU separately.

About cloud computing technology

S3, EC2, and various services from the first generation (2006–2010)

AWS introduced Amazon S3 cloud storage on March 14, 2006, and EC2 in August of the same year. In 2006, Andy Jassy, the founder and vice president of AWS, stated that Amazon S3 "enables developers to focus on creating software instead of worrying about where their data will be stored, whether it will be safe and secure, whether it will be available when they need it, the cost of server maintenance, or whether they have enough storage. Developers can concentrate on using data to innovate thanks to Amazon S3, rather than worrying about where to keep it." Paul Maritz co-founded the startup Pi Corporation, which used EC2 as a beta user before Amazon, and Microsoft was one of the platform's first enterprise users.

Later that year, SmugMug, one of the first AWS users, credited S3 with saving them close to US$400,000 on storage expenses. Vogels claims that when S3 began in 2006, there were only 8 micro services in 2022, there were over 300 micro services.

AWS debuted its annual Start-up Challenge in September 2007, offering $100,000 in prizes to US-based business owners and software engineers that use AWS technologies like S3 and EC2 to launch their companies. participated in the first edition, which Amazon would eventually purchase in 2014. The winner was an internet media startup named Ooyala.

SimpleDB, Mechanical Turk, Elastic Beanstalk, Elastic Block Store, DynamoDB, Relational Database Service, CloudWatch, CloudFront, Simple Workflow, and Availability Zones are other AWS services from this time period.

AWS cloud computing

Amazon Web Services, Inc. Called AWS is an Amazon company that offers governments, businesses, and people access to on-demand cloud computing platforms and APIs on a metered pay-per-use basis. Through AWS server farms, these cloud computing web services offer software tools and distributed computer processing capacity. One of these services is Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), which enables users to have a virtual computer cluster at their disposal that is constantly accessible via the Internet.

The majority of a real computer's features, such as hardware central processing units (CPUs) and graphics processing units (GPUs) for processing, local/RAM memory, hard-disk/SSD storage, a choice of operating systems, networking, and pre-loaded application software including web servers, databases, and customer relationship management, are all emulated by AWS's virtual computers (CRM). With AWS, one can learn more about cloud computing at March 1, 2021.

Applications of cloud computing

Customers who use AWS services receive them through a global network of AWS server farms. The "Pay-as-you-go" approach of charging is based on consumption as well as subscriber-selected hardware, operating systems, software, and networking characteristics that must be available, redundant, secure, and offer a range of service alternatives. Subscribers have the option of paying for a single physical or a virtual AWS machine, a cluster of either, or both. Subscribers can rely on Amazon for certain security-related services (such as the physical security of the data centers), but they are responsible for other security-related tasks (e.g. Account management, vulnerability scanning, patching). AWS operates from the most famous six of the world's geographical regions, including the global one.

An example of cloud computing

Amazon promotes AWS to customers as a quicker and less expensive alternative to creating a real, physical server farm for obtaining large-scale computing resources. All services are invoiced according to usage, although different services have different methods for doing so. According to Synergy Group, as of 2021 Q4, AWS has a market share of 33% for cloud infrastructure, while its two closest rivals, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, have market shares of 22% and 11%, respectively. AWS Company would like to leverage cloud computing, and they explain everything about the cloud computing course, while providing AWS cloud computing certification.
