Snapchat was founded in 2011 by all Stanford University students Evan Spiegel, Reggie Brown, and Bobby Murphy. Brown came up with the idea of a social media application that allows users to post photos and videos that disappear from the site after a few moments.

Snapchat was originally focused on personal sharing. But you can now use it for a variety of tasks, such as sending short videos, live video chats, messaging, creating bitmoji avatars like caricatures, and chronological sharing.


How your kids Use Snapchat?

If you are a teenager or you have teens at home you know about Snapchat. If you do not understand how this works, you have probably crossed a quarter-century. They are beautiful to look at. And unlike Facebook and Twitter, which record and broadcast everything you do, Snapchat messages that disappear need few sessions to know. Like many social media apps, Snapchat is a mixed full-time pass pack. So, it's a good idea to understand how it works, how your kids use it, and how much time they spend on it so you can be sure their experience is positive.

To start a conversation, you tap the large camera circle and take a snap. Here are all kinds of photo-editing tools as well as filters to embellish your images. Once you've customized your Snap, you can send it to anyone on your friend's list or add it to your story as you like. which is remain visible for your friends only 24 hours a day. Snapchat also provides group textbooks and group stories that everyone in the group can share.

What Is a Snap Streak?

Snap Messages do Disappear on Snapchat?

Under Snapchat's privacy policy, all videos, photos, and message content are removed from the server after viewing by all recipients or after 30 days. While this means that Snapchat does not intentionally retain private message data for longer than necessary, it does mean that videos and photos sent from your smartphone can be stored on the Snapchat server for up to a month. Snapchat is sent to a friend who lost their phone or didn't open the message, your 10-second Snapchat's lifespan has been quickly extended to 30 days.

Discover is a page on Snapchat that's a news feed. On it, you'll find content in the story format from news publishers, also known as publishing partners, such as The Wall Street Journal, ESPN, and other content from influencers or brands. For teens due to their age, they missed some adult features of Snap chat. It's a piece of great news for parents those who are very much careful about their children.

How To Get a Snapcode

Snapcode a special kind of image that you can scan with Snapchat to perform various tasks. You can send and scan snapcodes that add new friends, unlock filters and lenses, link to websites, link to exclusive content, and much more! To use the feature, open "Settings" and select "Snapcodes", then "Create Snapcode". Enter the URL, add an image from the website or your phone, resize it so that it fits inside the Snapchat Ghost logo and then you can save it for use anywhere.

How to Make A Story?

A story is a collection of moments in the form of images and videos that come together to form a narrative. Your personal stories can be created that your friends can watch 24 hours a day. Mostly liked your snap is particularly interesting or newsworthy, you can send it to as stories like mini-documentaries of events, holidays, game championships, or anything else as a Snapchat story.

Is Snapchat Safe For Tweens and Teens?

Snapchat- share a moment for kids to keep in touch with their friends. There are three mature features but it is mostly suitable for 16-year-olds or older.

The concept of invisible messages - During the beginning it was labeled as a "sexting app" because people sent intimate pictures that they thought were self-destructive. Any app can be misused, but many kids mistakenly believe that Snapchat has a built-in gate of the jail-free card. Adolescents need to understand that their shared content can be saved and shared and can never go away. Children should also be allowed to share pictures with others.

Suck time- Snapchat is a fun tone to use and a lot to discover. Snapstrikes and stories add a time-stress element that makes kids feel like they need to check-in.

Privacy and safety- Since it's so easy to add friends to Snapchat, you can end up with lots of people you don't know well on your friend's list. And depending on your settings, the app can collect a ton of data about your habits in—and outside of—the app. Snapchat also works with a lot of third parties that they share your data with.
