Seasonal Cover Photos for Facebook: Fall and Winter Edition
Jeannie has been writing online for over 10 years. She covers a wide variety of topics - hobbies, opinions, dating advice, and more!
Facebook Cover Photo
Not that long ago, Facebook decided to switch its users to a new system. Facebook added the timeline feature to all profiles. Although some people were not excited about the change, many of us that wanted to personalize our profiles were pretty happy about it. Instead of just a boring white background with a small profile pic, you could now have a larger photo as well. The photo in the background is called a cover photo.
The concept of the Facebook cover photo is very simple. You choose a photo you really like and it becomes your background at the top of the page. Now that we have this exciting new option, it is interesting to see what many people are doing with it. Some people are just opting to use a second photo of themselves as the cover photo. Others are using a photo of something important to them, such as their children or their pets. Still, another great option for the Facebook cover photo is to use a pretty background photo. I personally enjoy using some type of seasonal photo.
Since fall is already upon us and winter is coming near, I would like to share some fall and winter photos with you that would be great cover photos. Perhaps this will give you ideas for your own Facebook page and some photos you might like to take with your own camera. You can also opt to use the photos I am sharing with you. If you like them, feel free to use them as your own cover photo. I only ask that you share the link on your Facebook page or perhaps just let others know that are seeking free cover photos for their own page. Thanks!
Autumn Cover Photos
If you would like to have an autumn Facebook cover photo, you have many options to choose from. Some things that represent fall really well are:
- Scarecrows
- Leaves
- Pumpkins
- Halloween decorations
- Thanksgiving decorations
- Turkeys
- Pumpkin pies
- Horn of plenty
- Candles
- Candy corn
I am sure you can think of many other options for an autumn cover photo. Even if you are not the best photographer, you can drag the photo while downloading it to your Facebook profile. Sometimes centering a photo at just the right angle can help. There is also free software you can use on some websites to alter your photos.
I use a website called PicMonkey to help improve my photos. I do not use Instagram, but you can alter your photos in pretty much the same way using PicMonkey. I will include some of those photos below.

Thanks so much! I was quite annoying for a while now taking photos everywhere I went. Taking numerous photos of just leaves was kind of hard to explain though. :-)

Love the cold forest too! I really enjoy altering photos with the cool apps and software. You've inspired me to head outside and get some nice fall photos while the leaves are still on the trees. Rated up!

Look at you with these great pictures. Nice job of photography, Jeannie. I especially like the cold forest.
I'm too lazy to change my picture on Facebook; I have one I love and that's the one that will stay there until they toss dirt over me. :)
Great job with this one!
