Use Toothpaste to Remove Phone Screen Scratches
The cheapest solution to remove phone screen scratches is to apply toothpaste – the regular kind without the extra whitening. Extra whitening toothpaste can be too strong for your phone screen and is unnecessary.
First, make sure your screen is clean, then take a cotton swab and put a little toothpaste on the tip of it. With the swab, gently rub the toothpaste onto the portions of your phone screen that are scratched using a firm circular motion.
Next, let the toothpaste sit on the screen for a few minutes. This will allow time for the toothpaste to work its magic!
While the toothpaste is on the screen, get a damp cotton cloth ready. Make sure that it is not too wet. The last thing that you want is to get the inside of your phone wet and make it an expensive defective paperweight.
With the damp cloth, rub the toothpaste off of your phone screen. Once it is all removed, you should notice that most of the minor scratches are gone.
If you still notice that some of the marks are present, try repeating the same process until you see better results. However, if this toothpaste remedy is unsuccessful then you could try a brand name scratch remover.
Use Scratch Remover Liquid to Remove Phone Screen Scratches
There are plenty of popular scratch remover products that can help remove phone screen scratches. For instance, brands such as SONAX, Scratch Out or Displex can yield better results and are manufactured for the specific purpose of removing scratches from cell phone screens.
The process you use with its application is also similar to the toothpaste method.
First, remember to clean your phone screen from dust, fingerprints and any debris. Next, apply the product using a gentle multi-fiber cloth that you would normally use for cleaning eyeglasses or your computer screen.
The “application step” is where using a brand product is a little different. With the brand product, you need to keep rubbing the solution into the scratched area of the screen for about 5 to 10 minutes.
Gradually, the friction against the screen will fade the scratches away as you rub in a gentle circular motion. This technique should make your phone look like new.
If it doesn’t remove phone screen scratches completely, then try re-applying the product and repeating the process again until you get the results you want.
To prevent any more phone screen scratches from occurring, purchase a screen protector and remember not to put your phone in the same pocket as your keys or coins!

Thanks for the good advice wiserworld. My iPhone did have a few scratches before I purchased a screen protector, but then I dropped it on concrete and cracked the screen. It still works fortunately. When I eventually get the screen replaced this may come in handy..especially the toothpaste tip.
