The new UI also gives you the option to use third-party launchers, like Nova Launcher, Apex Launcher, or Microsoft Launcher, to customize the software even further as per your choice.
2. Improved Dark Modes
Since its inception, Dark mode has become quite popular among smartphone users. Even I'm also using personally using most of the apps in the dark mode. It is pleasing to the eyes and is said to give a slightly better battery life.
In the new Realme UI 2.0, there is an improved and customizable dark mode you can use. You can now choose three types of dark modes from in the skin, enhanced (pure black), medium, and gentle (light gray).
Although it might not change the user experience much, it's good to have three different customizable options in the dark mode.
As per Realme, this feature can be auto-adjusted depending upon the ambient light striking on the smartphone's display.
3. New Always-on Display (AOD) Additions
Apart from the improved dark modes, the new Realme software skin also gives you visual improvements in the form of Always-on Display.
With the Realme UI 2.0, you get five different Always-on Display themes to choose from. It includes a digital or analog clock, text and image, text-only, and other custom designs as per your choice using the available colors and patterns.
4. Better Health and Sleep Cycle Tracking with Sleep Capsule
With Android 8 Oreo, Google introduced the dedicated Digital Wellbeing feature to track the app usage and find the right balance with our lives.
Now Realme UI 2.0 has taken it even further by adding its own' Sleep Capsule' feature along with all other Digital Wellbeing additions in Android 11.
According to Madhav Sheth, Realme Mobiles CEO, the 'Sleep Capsule' is a 'self-developed' feature and will track your sleep cycle and daily health. As per the daily sleep cycle, the smartphone will analyze your sleeping patterns and reminds you to take a break or sleep.
5. Floating Window Feature
Would you like it if you get the option to resize or open a certain app in mini windows? If yes and it sounds interesting to you, then this is what the Floating Window feature is all about.
- This feature is aimed at smartphone users who like to do a lot of multi-task and switch between apps throughout the day and night.
- You can do things like using a calculator while chatting with your friend or any such similar tasks with this feature.
6. Deep Sea Privacy Plan
Apart from all the features mentioned above, there are some changes and improvements in your Realme smartphone's security and privacy.
Under the new Deep Sea Privacy Plan, the Realme UI 2.0 will offer much stricter app permissions, Security Shield, and features like Private Space to protect your most sensitive data and files.
There are now new harassment call blocking and pseudo site blocking options that will help you keep your device and data protected all the time.
Apart from this, the Security Shield also protects you from unwanted app permissions and gives you cutting-edge payment security protection along with all the Android 11 security features in tow.
Overall, Realme claims to have achieved great software optimizations with the new Realme UI 2.0.
