I learned this really cool trick that I never knew existed until I started a Facebook Group and made a post about "How I wish there was a way to search the files in a group".
Low and behold there is actually a way. It's not the best search tool but it works. If your in a group that literally has several hundred files, then you know how painful it is to read each file name to find the one you are looking for. This technique will help the search process quite a bit. It's easy, but it could always be easier.
First you have to go to group files section. To do so go the group, under the big group banner there are little tabs with the words "Discussion, Members, Events, Photos, Files".
Click the "Files" tab
Now that you're on the files page, you have the option to search everything in files, or just files or documents. I usually just search "all" but thought I'd point that out in case you want to search for one or the other, it will make the search easier.
This part sucks, but it has to be done..... Scroll all the way down to the very end of all files.
Once you get to the very end of the files, hold down the control (ctrl) key and hit F. See picture below if you're confused.
Once you do that a search box appears at the top right of your screen.
Now just type whatever ever file you're searching for in the search box and hit enter.
For this demonstration I will search for a dog file.
I type in dog and my computer remembers everything it saw on the screen and highlights every dog it sees. AND if you look to the right it puts little lines on the scroll bar, so you know exactly where to scroll to, to find the highlighted word.
How great is that........Thanks for reading!

No need to scroll to the bottom of the files list. Just press CTRL+F and it will open that search box at the top. Yellow highlights are ALL the occurrences of the search, and the one you are "on" is dark yellow, or orange. The arrows on the search box lets you move up and down the highlighted selections.

Press CTRL+F at the top will search down if you use the down arrow in the popup. Yellow highlighted text is the current file you are on. With the Orange Highlighted text being the next file that holds the words of your search criteria.

This doesn't search the files. Only the file names.

That's really an obvious solution, but when the group you're in has hundreds and hundreds of files, having to keep clicking "See More" until you have them all loaded is really cumbersome.
