How to Clean Electronics Equipment

The following is a list of products to clean electronic equipment that has become faulty due to hazards such as corrosion and rust. The components listed below are just a number of parts that can be affected by improper assembly and use of equipment, poor maintenance or just hazardous areas that the equipment is used in.

  • Mother boards
  • Memory boards
  • Power supply
  • Cooling fan
  • Terminals Dust
  • Semi-conductors

  1. Acquire materials to properly clean your equipment. These materials can be found at a office store or any general store in the proper department. More than likely the electronics department. The equipment cleaner is comprised of but not limited to CRC Electronic Cleaner, Endust Compressed Air and an Electronic Cloth used for cleaning.
  2. Next, locate an area that is clear from interruptions and setup for a safe and clean environment.
  3. Once you’ve found the environment you are ready to use the cloth on your screen, if it’s a computer the spray on the cloth to clean the items above and the air on most of the components i.e. fans and power supply where dust is visible.
  4. The last step is to reassemble all items that were disassemble and test the equipment.
