Safari's New Feature

So Apple just released the latest version of Safari, which adds lots of cool new features to the mobile app. One of those features is custom colors on the top tab bar and address bar for every website that you visit, versus a plain white bar. (See the example above)

Safari 15 can automatically choose a color based on the prominent color on the website's header. However, you can also manually set this color with the quick and easy instructions I will share with you today.

Above I have included two screenshots of a website. The top screenshot has a white top browser bar and the bottom one has a pink top browser bar. As you can see, the image with the pink top browser bar adds much more personality to your visitor's browsing experience.

Brand Your Browser Experience

This new Safari 15 feature is perfect to really solidify your Wix website's branding for your visitors. We all know how important branding is, and this new Safari 15 feature helps your brand tremendously.

You worked hard to create your logo and choose your brand colors all to appeal to your ideal customer or target audience so that they will be more inclined to purchase your products or services. That's why it's important to take advantage of this simple yet significant feature that Apple has introduced in the latest version of Safari.

Your brand becomes recognizable to your audience through repetition, or in other words, your audience sees your logos and colors together over and over again in different mediums and begins to associate it with your company. Every time your target audience sees your logo and colors on your product, an ad, a business card or your website, they form an association with what they see and how your company makes them feel.

Adding your brand color to their browsing experience will only improve their opinion of your company. Because most of your customers won't be that tech-savvy, they would most likely imagine that making a 3rd party browser conform to your brand would be difficult. This will give them a sense that your company is very professional and knowledgeable, therefore creating more credibility and trust with your customer. After all, they say, it's the little things that count.

Lucky for you, it's not that difficult and you could make this magic happen in way less than 5 minutes. So now that you know the importance of having a browser bar branded with your company color, let's get started implementing this change to your website.

This will really improve your audience's visits, especially if they frequent your website a lot. They will appreciate you keeping their experience fresh and new every time. This bonus tip works really well for blogs and similar websites. So go ahead and impress the heck out of your visitors. Don't be surprised if they thank you!
