Introduction

Last May 17, more than two months after the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine of the entire Luzon including Metro Manila, Philippines, I submitted requirements for my unlimited internet connection at home.

Although, I applied last year from different internet provider, however, didn't pursue because by the time of the security verification, I couldn't answer the phone due to I was travelling that time.

And now, good thing that my unlimited internet connection at home already installed. Although, because of the limitation brought by the Enhanced Community Quarantine as well as the General Community Quarantine lessen the mobility of the installers.

The Funny Thing

The funny thing, since I applied for this internet provider last May 17, I always did the follow up almost every other day. The agent always say that I need to exercise my patience to wait. And two days before its first month, today, June 15, our internet connection already installed at nine in the morning.

While installing the wires coming from the black box to the house, I am doing some picture-taking. And one of the installers caught me taking pictures and said, that is against their one of the rules of taking them pictures while at work. The reason behind it is for their security purposes. I am only allowed to take picture of the modem after the installation but without the presence of the installers. I immediately delete the pictures in my phone and informed them that it was already deleted. And I said "Sorry! I am not aware of that!" Then followed with a huge smile.

After the installers of the internet provider, few minutes after, my sons started watching YouTube videos as well as playing online games. My sons as well as my wife are too busy and happy.

My Online Activities will be ready

Since, I do have my unlimited internet right now at home, I am very passionate of doing my online activities such as being a blogger here in HubPages as well as my YouTube activities. I am also looking forward to have more blogging activities and hoping so that somebody here will give me online jobs.

I am planning also to check for some online tutoring job later when my sons are not busy anymore doing the online games. Preferably there are some non-English speakers country and wanted to learn English, and I am willing to train them.

Actually, I have lots of plans in regards with online activities due to I have to look for the finances for the payment of my monthly bills such as internet connection, water and electric utilities, house rental, foods, transportation, etc. I am not thinking negative that I cannot look for a better online job as soon as possible. With the power of prayer and belief to God Almighty, the money will be on the way to my bank account as well as to my PayPal account.

Distance Learning

One of the major purposes of why we applied for an internet connection is for the preparation of the Home schooling of my children. The Philippine Government is already discouraging the Department of Education here for a Face-to-Face interaction of students and teachers. Although, supposedly, the school year will start last week, however, it will move to August 24 (temporary only) but Distance Learning only. The worst-case scenario here is if some of the family do not have internet connection. I immediately applied for an internet connection as a preparation for the coming school year. The security deposit for my internet connection was borrowed from my sister in order to push through.

Although, my sons are now playing online games while on this writing, however, I informed them on the next coming days, their online games will be lessen. I am not removing their benefits to do the online games but instead, do the games with a limited time soon.

As of this moment, my youngest son already enrolled in his 4th Grade, however, my eldest is not yet enrolled to his 9th Grade because his 8th Grade institution is not yet releasing his report cards. We decided to transfer him to a public school from private school. Not because of we don't have money anymore, but the satisfaction as a parent to his school is not that good. And we are looking forward that his report card will be released as soon as possible.

I am upset a while ago because the sons of the landlord of the house in which I am currently renting, tried to build a basketball court in front of my vicinity in which few meters the FIBR wire hanged. A missed basketball throw will definitely hit the wire. I immediately informed their father regarding this matter. The father said, I will call the attention of my sons, and few minutes, I saw the father and one of his sons, checked the basketball ring installed.

I said to the father, my internet connection will be at risk if they will continue to do that basketball ring. If my connection will get lost, my job will be also at risk because I am now at work at home assignment.

Good to hear from you Luis. Interesting about the pictures, that would never work here, by law.

Just think a mere 15 years ago and you could not always get the service.
