Get the best out of your Galaxy Ace S5830

Samsung Galaxy Ace:

A mid-range phone with quite some good hardware features like:

  • 800 Mhz Processor
  • 5 mp Camera with an amazing flash..(extremely useful as a torch too :P )
  • HSPDA network..amazing speeds with a 3G connection
  • WiFi
  • 3.5 inch touchscreen with awesome clarity..
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, compass, proximity sensor

Now to some people these features may not seem like much, but you gotta remember that this is a mid-range phone and not a high-end one..

And trust me for it's price's totally worth it!

But to really get the best outta your phone, the best way to go is for you to root it..

Most people are afraid to root their phone cause it might bricked and so on, but trust me I've rooted plenty of Galaxy Ace's and even a couple sII's and have never had any problem what-so-ever...

Follow this link to check out how to root your phone...It's simple and really easy to do..

Root Your Galaxy Ace

Galaxy Ace s5830

Increase your CPU speed and performance and get unlimited internal space

Some people may claim that the CPU processing speed is slow..well to that I say root your phone and trust me you'll never regret it..there's an app called SetCPU, it works only on rooted phones..

With this app you can either overclock your CPU or even underclock it..Overclocking helps in increasing the performance of the phone, whereas underclocking helps in saving and increasing your battery life..

Another good thing about this app is that you don't need to keep adjusting it all the time, you can just create profiles and the speed changes automatically, for example since you probably don't need to use your phone in the night, set a profile to decrease the speed completely between 2-7 or so..or even when the screen is off..

Well that takes care of your CPU speed and performance..

Another issue is the internal space of your phone. The Galaxy Ace comes with 158 mb of internal storage which is actually hardly anything..

Now rooting your phone is the best way to go as most custom ROMs get rid of all your unwanted system apps that comes with your phone, but still a 158 mb of internal space for apps, messaging, emails and everything else in your phone actually adds up to hardly anything.

Now to get rid of that annoying memory low message and get unlimted or well practically unlimited internal storage, try the following app:

Something that you could do is to install S2E..It's an app that helps create a partition your memory card to use it as internal storage for your phone, giving you literally unlimited amount of internal storage!

For details on rooting your phone and partitioning your SD card and for various other stuff regarding your Galaxy Ace or even any other phone, check out my blog linked to my profile page...

Free up your RAM..

Freeing up your RAM and killing all those unnecessary apps that run in the background can drastically speed up your phone, increase it's performance and make your battery last a lot longer...

Your Galaxy Ace comes with just 278 mb of RAM...well that aint really much quiet frankly..

So in order to make the best of that 278 mb of RAM, you gotta keep as few apps as possible running in the background..

Now an app that you can use is called Autokiller Memory Optimizer. With this app you can set the min free mb of RAM that you desire to have and the app will kill the background processes and unwanted apps in order to provide you with this freed up RAM,

A good side effect of this app is that it indirectly improves your battery life..

P.S: These apps are not meant only for the Galaxy Ace but can be used for any rooted android phone..

Not at all actually. You need to set up profiles so that it's the fastest when required and at the slowest when not, example at night. You need to balance it appropriately. Set a profile for when it's charging, etc.
