Not Just For Internet Trolls- Funny Facebook Trends

Author:

Fun for Internet Trolls and Facebookers Alike

Whether you are an evil troll looking for entertainment on Facebook or just an average everyday user, there are many fun and strange trends to delight one and all. From Zombie Gnomes to Owling, you are sure to find your niche among the latest Facebook fads!

Zombie Gnomes

It is the newest and hottest trend in altered art- Zombie Gnomes. From coast to coast, Gnomes are being distorted into gory cannibalistic terrors that feast on other yard décor such as pink flamingos. They are invading the yards of unsuspecting people everywhere and leaving their victims zombified. Facebook users are capturing the antics of these Gnomes and spreading fear into followers on Facebook.

Demotivational Posters

Demotivational posters demonstrate sarcasm in its finest forms. Facebookers often use these posters to tell their friends, "way to go, you really screwed up." Demotivational posters are a favorite of Internet trolls looking for something to post when they are feeling especially trollish. Many of these posters equate to saying a great big.. DUH.. and are used to demonstrate human stupidity. Nothing makes other human beings feel better about themselves than seeing someone else fail. If you have a friend that has really made a big mistake or if you just want to feel superior to your fellow man, sharing a demotivational poster can always make your day a little brighter.

LOL Animals

Not even an Internet Troll can resist hitting the "share" button on all those cute LOL Animal photos. Almost every Facebook user has posted or shared cute photos of furry little animals who can't spell. Hundreds of thousands of Facebook users share LOL animal photos each day on Facebook whether it is to brighten a friend's day or to just say hello. This is one lasting and adorable Facebook trend that will not any time soon!

Damn You Autocorrect

Damn You Auto Correct is a web site that demonstrates major faux pas spell checkers on cell phones create. It can serve as a caveat to others that auto correct is not always your friend. It is also a funny way to laugh at the expense of others which is an Internet Troll's favorite thing to do.

Hundreds of texts are available to share with your friends and family at www.damnyouautocorrect.com. Here you also find many fun sites with sharable social media from "Invisible Cats" to "Why Parents Shouldn't Text." These are great fun to share or just to make you feel better about yourself.

Dos Equis Guy Parodies

He is.. the most interesting man in the world. This could be why parodies of the Dos Equis Guy are extremely popular on Facebook. His confidence is legendary which may be the one thing that makes this interesting man a target for fun parodies. Everyone wants some of "the most interesting man in the worlds" epic-ness to rub off on them. Sharing his photos are a great way to associate yourself with greatness or to send a message to that cocky friend who needs to take it down a few notches. Either way, the Dos Equis guy is popular among males, females, and Internet trolls.

How to "Owl"

How to "Owl"

Owling

Owling is the process of "perching" like an owl in a public place and capturing this pose in a photo for Facebook. The more precariously perched you are, the more "likes" you will get. There is a specific page dedicated to this practice. If you are bored or in a trolling mood, take some clever shots of your self perched like an owl on your dresser or on the side of your bathtub. Share these photos with all of your friends who will be so impressed.

Harry Potter vs. Voldemort

Epic Rap Battles

To brighten a friends day, you can share "Epic Rap Battles" featuring Mr. Roger's vs. Mr. T or Dr. Seuss vs. Shakespeare. Epic Rap Battles were made famous when the most popular in the series- Darth Vader vs. Hitler went viral. Historical figures square off in a two minute rap battle in which the grandest of insults are exchanged to a background beat. My personal favorite in this mind blowing series is the Epic Battle featuring Einstein vs. Stephen Hawking.

Hot Turtle Love

Nothing makes your friends quite as uncomfortable as a voyeuristic look at hot turtle love. Most viewers are most surprised to discover how vocal the male turtle is during mating. Whether you wish to cheer up a sad friend or have a giggle for yourself, turtle sex is funny.

Fortunately, I haven't posted any of these trends on my wall but that's not to say my wall isn't littered with my friends doing exactly that. I must admit, the animal ones crack me up. They make me smile which is exactly what this hub did. Great job and I know it took some serious time to do!

Tammy (author) from North Carolina on March 27, 2012:

Hey That Grrl. Great observation. I think planking has ended because of all the injuries and deaths that have occurred in people trying to get those creative shots. I didn't want to risk encouraging otherst to try this. Thanks for visiting and sharing!
