I have used the submission service at Free Web Submission and found it very useful and very easy to submit my websites to various search engines.
FWS provides an excellent free service, it does what it claims and I found it very easy to use.If you want to know how to submit a website to the search engines, then Free Web Submission is a great place to start because you don't need to know anything about SEO (Search Engine Optimization), keywords or anything like that.
FWS provides both manual and auto submission to the highest-rated, free internet search engines and directories. You just type in your website URL and submit it with a click or two.
The Free Web Submission website lists the search engines and directories in order of popularity. These rankings are determined by Alexa.com and Google.com and are updated regularly.
How To Use FWS
You can click the link below to go to the Free Web Submission website. At the bottom of the page is the free autosubmitter.
Their autosubmitter submits any website to twenty popular search engines in a matter of seconds. I must say I was impressed with the speed.
You can also click on any of the search engine links listed on the page if you want to submit your site manually. I haven't tried this yet because I am quite happy with the automatic URL submitter.
If you want to submit your website to search engines for free then you can dot it at the Free Web Submission homepage
Addme.com Search Engine Submission
Another excellent free search engine submission service is Addme.com. I found that Addme.com is also a very easy to use service.
What I particularly like about addme is there is a one click button to automatically import the keywords from your website. This is so convenient because you don't have to think about or remember what keywords to use in your submissions.
You know a submission service such as addme is genuine because within minutes of your submission you will receive confirmation from the various search engines that they have received your details. You will then have to confirm some of these submission before they are accepted by the engines, which is standard practice.
Search Engine Blaster
One problem with free submission is you have to manually add in the URL's of your web sites. That's fine if you're only dealing with one or two URL's.
Search Engine Blaster is much more convenient. You just enter in your domain name, and their submit bot will visit your web site, and automatically load every page on your site into the submission queue. You can actually see it working, your pages instantly show up in your submit list right in your browser.
I found SEB quite simple to use. Since it is an online based service, there's no complicated software to learn and nothing to download. Once you tell it what to submit, it will automatically re-submit as often as you'de like. You don't even have to log in to do it -- once it's set up It's all on auto-pilot.
Of course Search Engine Blaster submits to the top engines, But it also submits to thousands of niche specific search engines, free for all sites, directories, and even classified ad sites, as if you were doing it manually - even while you're on vacation.
I think the monthly payment is reasonable, but if you're concerned about commitment I'd suggest blasting your domains and websites for the first month. If you're happy with the results then continue as long as you want. Using Search Engine Blaster to promote my programs I noticed I was getting more signups than usual
