Why Set up a Business Page

It is a free way of connecting people from all over the world with your business. You can interact with customers by adding photos and interesting content to your page. They in turn can make a comment and let other people know how they feel about your products or services.

Your unique page looks just like their own Facebook Timeline so it is very familiar to them. If they ‘Like’ your Page then they will see all News Feeds from it. Their friends on their own account will also see them on their wall. This gives you the potential of millions of readers online.

You as the administrator have full control of the page. There are many different tools you can use to help your business along. One of these is the Insights tool. This lets you see who is connecting with your page and other information.

To set up your own Facebook Business Page you must first have a Personal Facebook Account. When you create a business page you still use your personal account log in information. The email you gave will also be used for your business page.

You can take your time creating your page because you do not have to publish it until you are ready. If you save it and leave it unpublished then only you can see it. You will see a message to tell you it is not published yet. Once you are ready to make it available on the internet for all to see then click ‘Publish this Page’

Selling Items Online

Create your own Facebook Page for your business and interact with your readers and customers. Do you want to sell your crafts or other home made items on the internet? You can do this by advertising your home business on Facebook for free. It is very easy to do and gives you feedback on the products you sell.

Other readers can see the potential of your item for sale by the positive comments on your Facebook page. They will be encouraged to Buy your Products too. You can add your own website address or your Etsy website to the page so that potential buyers can go there and complete their purchase.

Add photos and prices of your crafts and other products so that your Facebook readers can see what you make and sell and they can comment on them. When readers press the 'Like' button on your page all their Facebook friends will see it on their Wall. This gives you and your business page lots of potential new readers and future customers.
