There has been a lot of talk about cyborgs replacing people in all parts of daily life. The numerous advances in AI and robotics have made it possible to have robots capable of much more and do many tasks. There have been advancements in robotics and there continue to be new developments each year. The question in people's minds is whether continued learning of cyborgs will make them more intelligent and like people.

We are living in an age where there are daily advances in technology. The field of robotics has come a long way from science fiction into reality. In the past, many people could not imagine individuals creating robotic devices that mimic human actions. However, different countries and individuals make functional machines to perform all sorts of activities in the automobile industry, healthcare, and the service industry.

New and improved designs make cyborgs do many things deemed impossible. The integration of robotics and AI produces robots that have more intelligent and sometimes surpass humans. However, intelligence levels in cyborgs are low in contrast with humans and have a long way to go. Although there are numerous advances, there are some reasons robots will never become more intelligent and like people.

The intelligence of cyborgs depends on humans.

Robotic devices do not have intelligence. They depend on the command input in them to perform various actions. Although they can learn with reinforced learning, they are incapable of processing too much information and making decisions. The extent of a robot’s intelligence depends on its creators. The makers of cyborgs determine the actions that robots can take and perform even with reinforced learning. The goal of cyborgs is to perform a specific task. Thus, they are like an advanced form of AI with an external structure.

Cyborgs have limited individual intelligence. They are incapable of creating their knowledge from scratch and developing ways to attain new knowledge and understanding of the various tasks. Reinforced learning will not enable them to become more intelligent to the level of human beings.

In a hypothetical situation where cyborgs would be more intelligent and humanoid, the robotic devices would need countless modifications and information for them to get there. It would take numerous alterations in terms of internal and external features of cyborgs for them to get to levels where they could mimic human intelligence and appearance perfectly. Although they might appear complex, require many parts, and have different intellectual capacities, they have a long way to go to get levels where they could mimic human beings perfectly. It is challenging to produce modifications and structures, which can enable cyborgs to attain and retain intelligence. Humanity intelligence comes from finding ways to get and preserve knowledge. The human brain aid in absorbing knowledge from various sources, interpret information, and retain it.

The process has its complications even in human beings. An example is children. They are born without the knowledge to understand and differentiate between different things. It takes years of learning and experience to get to levels where they can express themselves and create new knowledge, which they can pass on to others or use for their benefit. The human brain enables people to attain and retain wisdom at different capacities but with years of learning.

In the case of robotic devices, their creation is complex and can only retain a small amount of knowledge. It is difficult for them to learn new information with reinforced learning to the point where they can create new facts. Thus, numerous changes have to happen to cyborgs to get them to levels they have better retention and develop knowledge to human heights. There have to be several and highly advanced innovations to help robots to get humanoid intelligence.

Decision-making is too complex for cyborgs to create new information.

For robotic devices to get people-like levels of intelligence with reinforced learning, they have to make decisions like people. Decision-making is one of the most complex achievements of human beings. The ability to choose from the information acquired by self is one of the most impressive aspects of individuals. The decision-making process involves using data from others and input through the various human senses like sight, smell, touch, taste, and hearing.

The process has its complications in humans. In most cases, people are unable to make the right decisions wilfully or unwillingly. In the case of cyborgs, to get people-like intelligence, they need to make the right decisions always. It is an expectation that they do not make mistakes because of their reinforced learning and their nature. It will be difficult for them to live up to human standards of expectations in their decision-making.

The path of trying to turn robots into perfect decision-making machines that satisfy social expectations has numerous problems and would be difficult to achieve. The process of decision-making requires more than the information given to individuals. There is the need to have an innate knowledge of what to do to make the right choice. In cyborgs, such a situation would be unimaginable and challenging to achieve.

Robotic devices do not have emotional intelligence.

Emotional intelligence is one of the main factors that make up human beings. Emotions are crucial to people because they help them form bonds with others and help them understand different situations. They help individuals to connect and understand different circumstances. However, cyborgs do not have emotions. It is tricky to hardwire emotional capabilities into robots because of their nature.

Although it might be possible to input emotions into cyborgs, it will be hard for robotic devices to replicate those emotions and understand them the way people can comprehend. The emotional nature of human beings through experiences and other issues aid them to know various subjects and communicate with each other. The emotional journey of human beings starts at birth and continues to their death. However, cyborgs do not have emotions during the creation process. Thus, it is difficult for them to recognize and sensitize emotions.

It would be challenging for robots to have genuine emotions helping them to connect with people and other cyborgs. Emotions are not easy to create and replicate in inanimate objects. It will be a huge task to turn robotic devices into emotional beings. If it could happen, it would be the hugest achievement of human beings. Emotional intelligence has complications even in people. It would take a lot of effort to instill emotions and feelings into cyborgs and become like humans with reinforced learning.

The process of emulating human beings has many complications.

For robots to become more intelligent and similar to human beings, they need to have all the characteristics of people. There are many robotic inventions with human traits. Most robotic creators give their creations human features for individuals to relate. The most common features of cyborgs that are people-like are arms, legs, and faces. There are bodies of robotic devices that have humanoid characteristics.

However, the process of trying to create humanoid cyborgs is very complex. In some cases, robots with human attributes like faces are sometimes scary. Their expressions make it difficult for people to relate and connect with them and are unsettling. Although improvements can happen through reinforced learning, it is challenging to emulate human beings fully and their various actions. The most important part is the connection cyborgs have with people and their interaction with others. The attempts by robotic devices to emulate human beings tend not to have the best of consequences. It will be difficult for them to achieve total human emulation.
