Matilda being played on the Sony Trinitron Color Television, Model KV-1926RA
My Sony Trinitron Color Television is a Survivor
This is my Sony made in 1990, she is an amazing Trinitron color television, this is the only Model KV-1926RA that I have been able to find so far, Made in 1990 … the Sony VCR is a model SLV-779HF, the VHS tape is a tape of Matilda, the remote control is a SONY RM-783, and of these items were left in a forgot dank shed through six long years of very hot steaming Tennessee summers, and six years of freezing cold Tennessee hellish winters, and they all are still working great, the Sony television has a pretty good sound, and picture. The Sony VCR player preforms like a new one would. Even the VHS tape is doing great.

Possibly the last KV-1926RA Sony Trinitron on Earth
It stills boggles my mind as the sheer waste of this culture we find ourselves in today, and the amount of beautifully crafted electronics that have been destroyed all in the name of keeping up with the next new thing, or even our neighbors. I have only be able to find one Sony Trinitron Color Television KV-1926RA, and that is the one in this hub. This is the Sony I saved from my very own foreclosed home many years ago. The dumpsters had arrived and Chase Bank was in a hurry to empty my house so they could take possession. It was during this era that analog televisions were declared obsolete and all the whos in Whoville followed there trendy neighbors to the landfill and could not destroy perfect analog televisions fast enough, it was an orgy of destruction.

The waste of Flawless, Perfectly Working Analog Televisions all going to Landfills
When you add to this, list of the flawless, perfectly working analog televisions that went to all the landfills, all the VHS tapes, the VCR players. Then you can also add the millions of old school Laser Discs, their player, and even the RCA Selectavision that people thrown away in dumpsters and destroyed to keep up with the Jones. Then these mindless dodos rush out to Walmart and buy the latest DVD player or Blue Ray player that was now what the cool people had to have. Now these same folks are dumping their DVDs and Blue Ray collections because everything is up in the clouds …
This Sony Trinitron Survived a Raccoon Infested Shed for Six Years
Vintage Sony's are now Very Collectable, as Cool Vintage Television Sets
Now flash forward to today, all these once plentiful Sony televisions like this amazing Trinitron Color Television, Model KV-1926RA are now very rare and becoming very collectable. The new generation of hipsters want the cool vintage television sets that we in vogue back in the golden age of American electrics. Vintage analog televisions with old school names like Sony, Zenith, Magnavox, Admiral, Quasar, and even Curtis Mathes are now trendy and cool again. Tragically, the supply cannot keep up with the demand since so many millions of great sets had been foolishly destroyed back in the early years of this century.
Today Sony Trinitrons from the 1980s are Selling for over $500.00
Today it is not unusual to see Sony Trinitrons from the 1980s are selling for over $500.00 these days on eBay and online sites. These televisions are amazing, and very fun to watch old show on with your VCR playing sweetly alongside the television. I was afraid my set would be dead when I retrieved it from that dank shed it had been in for the past six years, but no, she started right up like she was showroom new, even the Sony VCR and the VHS tapes are working great. This was a very delightful experience to step back in time and enjoy the warm glow of a vintage color television set playing old tapes from the past.
I think even this Nurse is Happy about the Color on this Sony Trinitron
Trinitron Color Television was a Masterpieces of Electronic Engineering
The workmanship and quality in these masterpieces of electronic engineering is superb. For equipment to come out an uncontrolled environment and still work like new after countless years of neglect is a testimony to the designers and works of that neglected and forgot era of last century. This is what I call the last of the golden age of American electronics. These picture tubes like the V-8 engine of that era were the result of over fifty years of design and engineering improvements. These Sony color picture tubes of the 1980s and early 1990s were the product of almost a half century of design and study.

Old Televisons help Folks who are now Waxes for the Happy Day of the Past
So remember old electronic stereos, television and VCRs that are gathering dust in your attic are becoming very collectable. Some might say that they are technologically obsolete, but to the young hipsters that are like golden treasure. With the growing demand and limited supply of vintage analog televisions and VCRs, they have great value to the collectors. This new generation that grew up with these analogy televisions and VHS players are now waxes for the happy day of the past, and the nostalgic days of their lost innocents of their youth.
People Once Boosted that Analog is Dead, but it is Alive and Well Today
I still can remember back in the early days of this century, people pulling up the dumpsters at the recycling centers, and the trash compactors with their portable analog televisions, and VCR’s. They would just throw them into the compactors. I would always ask what is wrong with them, and 99% of the time, they would say or they still work great, but no longer in style or needed. The most favorite saying was, “have you not heard analogy television is dead, we now have digital, and everything is going digital”. Then they would slam their beautiful console Sony or Zenith into the dumpster with loud bam, as the picture tube would burst. I would always look at them in bewilderment, and tell them that family heirloom could have still played digital with a converter box attached to it.
Dennis Quaid never look better than on a Sony Trinitron
Even Sony's rescued from Sitting in the Rain for Weeks Still Worked.
I have noticed on some sites that people are selling televisions from this era that look as if they were rescued from a bad situation, as they had been sitting in the rain for weeks but apparently many of these televisions still worked. It is sad that thrift stores like Goodwill and the Salvation Army stop taking analogy televisions many years ago. Tragically, many vintage televisions that could have been saved by going to a thrift store ended up in landfills. or crushed to pieces in compactors at recycling centers.
The Quality of the Sound and Picture gets Better the More She is Played
I hope that more Sony's will be saved for Future Generations to Enjoy
Hopefully once it becomes more widely known that vintage televisions and electronics like VCRs from the 1970s, 1980s and in some cases even the 1990s have become trendy and desirable collectables, people will hopefully start saving them. They will then start digging these masterpieces of forgotten technology out of their basements, storage sheds, and attics and selling them for amazing profits to a population that now appreciates their true value.
It is very exciting to see an old VHS tape Start to Play on an Analog Television
I Had almost Forgotten how much Fun it was to watch a VHS Movie on an Analog Television
I had almost forgotten how much fun it was to watch a VHS movie on an analog television in your bed. The natural light of the television screen, and soft pastels, and wave like movement of the movie as it is playing slowly, and peacefully, across the television screen. Not sure why Americans were so eager to go full throttle DVD and Blue Ray, there is a peacefully quality about VHS tapes, they are very durable, considering this tape was in a harsh environment, and is still working great after six years in a shed, exposed to the harsh elements of Tennessee bipolar weather.
