My Amazing Experience With the Magical Baiden Mitten Exfoliator

Victoria exfoliates regularly with the Baiden Mitten and loves sharing her experiences with others.

Are the Claims True?

Most beauty products promise the world and deliver little. That is why I was very skeptical about the outrageous claims for this product, but with a money-back guarantee, I had to give it a go.

I ordered Baiden Mitten out of curiosity. I did not think that it would do a lot for me, because I exfoliate very regularly. The photos I saw of the results were very impressive, but I know what you can do with Photoshop, so I was skeptical.

Here is my experience using the product.

Before and After Photos

The before photo was taken after I had used the mitten twice, so my skin was already much better than it was before I started using Baiden altogether. You can still see that my skin was angry red from being so very sensitive, my pores were still large, and my skin was droopy and loose, especially on my eyelids.

The after photo was taken two months after starting using the mitten. Taking that photo was quite a revealing exercise for me because while I concentrated on examining my wrinkles and blemishes every day during the two months, I quite missed the big picture.

I did not notice the biggest change, which was that the skin on my whole face (and the body for that matter) has tightened considerably. You can see that my eyelids are so much tighter and the cheeks are not so droopy any more. The skin around my jawline is also uplifted.

Additionally, as you might notice the wrinkles are shallower, the most visible difference on my deep wrinkle between my eyebrows.

And to my relief, the skin is not angry and inflamed anymore, and not sensitive either. It is hardy, resilient and a good color apart from some broken capillaries that I have had for a long time and that spoil the overall effect.

Yes the Baiden Mitten Works

Here are the biggest effects I noticed after using it for nine months. They appeared when the weather turned cold.

  • Without external heat, the pores on most of my face almost completely disappeared. The tip of my nose is as smooth as glass now.
  • The forehead is smooth, and little wrinkles are gone. The deep wrinkle between my eyes is still there but much shallower.
  • A lot of sun damage is gone, but now, instead of a few big brown spots on my face, chest, and hands, I have lots of small ones instead. While I genuinely believe that with time all those would go away as well, I have an appointment to get IPL on my face, because I do not want to wait that long.
  • My capillaries must have strengthened, because my rosacea is less, especially in the mornings my skin is all even color, but as the day progresses, I get pink around my nose and chin.
  • In winter, I definitely have to apply moisturizer to my whole body after scrubbing, because if I don't, my skin gets a bit dry.
  • I have lost about 10 years off my hands and feet. Not only are they lighter in color, but there must have been some serious collagen production. My hands were beginning to look a bit bony and with somewhat protruding veins, but now they look like those of a much younger woman.
  • The skin on the whole body is really nice quality, healthy and not sagging, although I lost some weight (strange, how when you start to fix one thing, you get inspired to improve other areas as well).
  • My scars are definitely less visible—even the deep one on my knee. Only about 1/3 of it still looks like a scar, the rest of it just looks like slightly thicker texture than the rest of the skin around it. To really see how extensive it was, I have to rub it hard, and then it turns pink. Yep, it was a really big scar! It covered about 3/4 of my knee.
  • I had some moles on my arms. Some of them crusted over and then fell off! I am not sure if they would have eventually turned into cancer, but they are now gone, and the skin in those places looks like those little moles have never even existed. Some bigger ones have shrunk in size considerably.

Summarizing, this little body exfoliating tool has become my major beauty product. I have a lot of empty space in my bathroom drawers now after getting rid of all the face and body products that I have trialed in my quest to find the elusive fountain of youth. Most of them did absolutely nothing for me and were just a waste of money (I am sure that many of you will identify with that statement).

It is very liberating not to have to worry about my skin any more apart from my bi-weekly routine of exfoliating with the mitten and daily moisturizing. I do not go into cosmetic supermarket isles any more, and I do not waste time on the internet looking at cosmetic sites. I am easily saving at least $100 per month on body and face cosmetics.

How I Began Using the Baiden Mitten

The product arrived four days after ordering. Because I did not expect to have it so quickly, I had just exfoliated two days before. I wasn't sure if there would be many impurities on my skin because of it.

After my first exfoliation, I felt the experience was really quite amazing. First of all, I was a bit surprised at the texture of the mitt. I expected something soft, but it was quite stiff like very fine sandpaper. After soaking for 1/5 hour in the bath, I attempted it on my arm first.

I could not believe how much stuff came off. Some of those rolls of dead skin combined with impurities were up to about five centimeters long (about two inches). Not only that, but the massage was fantastic! You know when you have an itchy back, and somebody scratches it for you? Well, it was about 20 times better.

It took me a good 15 minutes to exfoliate my whole body as much as I could. Because you have to press pretty hard, it is quite a workout, and I found that doing my back was going to be difficult. That's when I called my husband for help.

My husband is forever obliging and set out to do an excellent job on my back. It was easy to get him motivated when he saw how much stuff he could rub off my back. It was wonderful and invigorating, and although I looked like a freshly cooked lobster, I felt really fantastic and alive. He said that he hadn't realized that he had such a dirty wife!

When I rinsed off and got out of the bath, I was able to assess the results. I am quite convinced, without exaggeration, that on the bottom of my bath there must have been about a cupful of rolls of those impurities and dead skin. I actually fished some of them out and flushed them down the toilet because I thought that if I let all of them go down the drain, it might block the drain.

It Makes You Sweat—A Lot

Then I dried myself with a towel. Two minutes later, I was again as wet as I was when I got out. I was not sure what it was but dried myself again. And again. And again. Then it dawned on me—I was sweating profusely, just as if I was in a sauna. I was sweating even in places where I did not know that sweat glands existed; backs of my hands, my elbows, my buttocks, everywhere. I just sweated and sweated for about half an hour, after which I just could not wait any longer, and so I switched a fan on and got in front of it.

After I finally finished sweating, I was able to assess the state of my skin. It was incredibly smooth. When I touched my arms, the feeling was similar to running your hand over the finest quality Egyptian cotton sateen sheet. It felt luxurious, and there was sheen to my body as if it was lightly oiled. I checked my elbows—one of my problem spots. I work on a computer all day, and because of that, my elbows have got calluses on them. Now they were way softer than they have been in a long time.

It took me one whole day to stop being bright pink and return to my normal, pale color. By the end of the day, I was no longer glowing red. Note to self—do my exfoliation on the day that I do not need to go out.

The next day the only parts of my skin that did not look great were my 20-year-old stretch marks. They were angry red. So was a scar on my knee. Not pretty, but I had used dermabrasion to fade my scars before, and they looked the same as they tightened. I think that the Baiden Mitten might have a beneficial effect on scars as well.

Day 2

I slept in the buff the first night because I was so smooth I felt like I was sleeping on satin sheets. Except it was not the sheets that had a satin feel, it was my skin. I must say that I had one of the best night's sleep for ages and woke up happy. I guess when you get enough oxygen in your bloodstream from the massage, you are on a natural high? Getting rid of all those toxins with sweating probably also helped.

I cornered my husband and got him to soak in the bath. I figured that if I had so much skin to loose, he would have had a lot more since he never exfoliates. What I did not count on was that he is pretty hairy, so it could not grab onto his skin to do its job. The parts that I managed to scrub came up pretty good, and after scrubbing, he looked a bit like Pigglet from Winnie the Pooh, except way, way bigger. This attempt of exfoliation was only half successful; still, my husband was pleased that he was not as dirty as I was.

All this effort got me pretty sweaty (will I ever get used to sweating all over my body?) so after that, I took a shower, and discovered that I missed some places on my skin the previous day because they did not feel as smooth as the rest of me. I decided to scrub them in the shower. Of course one thing led to another, and in the end, I scrubbed my whole body again, even though it came with clear instructions not to use it more than once a week. And I discovered why.

Do Not Exfoliate Two Days In a Row

I managed to over scrub in some places, and I got some mild skin grazing. In a couple of places, even a bit of a rash that looked like a heat rash. It was a bit painful, so I got Aloe Vera gel out. It stung a bit when I applied it but quickly stopped hurting.

This time much less of the impurities came off (understandably), but the massage was just as wonderful. I was still as red as a lobster and still sweated for half an hour but felt light and uplifted.

This time I was only bright red for half a day though. I guess my skin is getting used to it. My skin is so smooth on the inside of my arms it feels like glass when I touch it. I have only felt a skin like that before on babies. I love it.

Things that I observed after two sessions of using the Baiden Mitten:

  • My clothes fit better, not because I lost weight, but because they do not cling to my body as much.
  • The pores on my face are smaller, and they are clean. There are very few blackheads in them now. Mainly they are just empty.
  • I "suddenly" grew hair on my arms! I actually did not know I had hair on my forearms because the skin there was always darker, even in winter (I live in a tropical paradise). Now my skin on my arms is much lighter, so the color of the hair really stands out.
  • Also, freckles on my face, chest, and arms are more visible. Again, I think that my skin got lighter, so although most probably I now have fewer freckles, they are not joined together to form a tan but are separated. That makes me think that maybe in time, I will be able to get rid of all the freckles altogether? Is it possible that I might finish with skin like Nicole Kidman, but without spending millions of dollars to achieve it?
  • My stretch marks actually look worse, because they are red and puffed up.
  • My body feels tighter; it is especially visible on my upper arms.
  • My chest is much smoother; a lot of my bumps that I really hated are much flatter.

In the evening, my grazed skin was feeling much better, and again, I slept in the buff. I think I could get used to it.

Day 3

My skin looked great (actually even better than the day before), and the pain from the grazed skin was gone. I understand not only why I should not use the mitt more than once a week, but also why I should never share it with anybody else. It is such a deep exfoliation, if used inappropriately (as I have done) and the skin is grazed, you could transfer infections from one person to another.

You might use it as suggested but somebody else that you are sharing it with might not, and you could end up with some nasty skin condition—no more sharing Baiden Mitt with my husband, although as far as I can tell neither one of us has any skin problems. But you never know.

My skin color was much more uniform than normal, and it was a little more pink than usual. I think that the vigorous skin massage started to nourish the skin better, and it was glowing.

Using Self-Tanner

On day three, I decided to apply my favorite self-tanner Safetan. I wanted to see how my new skin worked with the fake tanning solution.

I applied it in the evening and went bed (not in the nude, just so the color wouldn't come off on the sheets).

When I woke up, I took a shower and examined my tan. It was absolutely gorgeous. I didn't apply any barrier cream whatsoever, and my ankles were not orange at all. My knees and elbows weren't bad either, although I did give them a light rub to make it perfect. This was so great! This time the tan had a glow to it like I had used a body shimmer lotion. Except it wasn't the tan glowing, it was my skin.

No matter how gross this looks, dead skin is better off than on.

No matter how gross this looks, dead skin is better off than on.

Day 5

My tan was still going strong, although it was slightly lighter. It was also still very even, with no white patches anywhere, not even on my feet even though I wore runners when jogging. Normally by that stage, my tan would be virtually nonexistent, and if I wanted to keep it longer, I would have to use tan extending cream. I didn't use anything, and the only place that was lighter was my face because every night I use a toner, which has exfoliating properties.

At this point I was of two minds: I wanted to keep the tan longer, and on another hand, I really wanted to use it again. I think it was addictive. My skin was still glowing after exfoliating five days before, but after knowing what it could do—I wanted more!

I decide to scrub. This time I did not have a bath but a long shower. I scrubbed my whole body till both of my arms ached. Although a lot of stuff came off, it wasn't as much as the first time. Which is not surprising, if you do your math, it was only five days after my last session, not seven as recommended.

I got my husband to do my back again, and again he manages to get a lot off. I glowed brilliant pink again, and this time I got smarter. I turned the hot water off and rinsed off with cold water. WOW! The feeling was unbelievable.

I could still feel myself sweating, but the cooling effect of cold water was fantastic. Now I know why Scandinavians roll in the snow after a sauna. I'm sure this is great for my skin!

I was pleased that by day five, my skin was getting used to the whole process, and I could rub harder without any discomfort, and the redness didn't last long at all. After about one hour, I could, if I chose to, go out and look sort of "normal."

The best way to do it is to rinse the mitt as usual under hot water and squeeze out as much water as you can, then wrap one corner of the mitt around your "scrubbing finger" and then gently go around your face, your hands and toes, everywhere where it is more difficult to do a good job with a full hand. I also did a much better "detailing" job on my face, feet, and hands.

Day 10

I didn't scrub on day 10, but I kept examining my body for changes. I found that the pores on my nose closed up significantly, and my nose was very shiny (hey, Rudolf). I always thought that I had a bit of Rosacea on my nose and around it, but with the pores closed, I could see that it is rather few capillaries that look like roots of the tree.

Open pores used to diffuse this effect, but now I can see clearly what it is. I will have to get them "done" now with IPL, I think.

It is strange how ambitious I suddenly got during this process. I had never been very vain, and some redness did not worry me before, but suddenly I wanted my skin to be perfect. I suppose that for the first time in my life I actually believed that it might be possible.

This is just some of the dead skin rolls from body exfoliation that were left on the bottom of my bathtub.

This is just some of the dead skin rolls from body exfoliation that were left on the bottom of my bathtub.

Day 11

Another no scrubbing day, but I noticed that the scar on my knee looked much better. Half of it, which was not too bad to start with, didn't look any different from the rest of the skin on my knee, and the rest of it got very "wrinkly," so it is not as visible. Also, a shallow scar from immunization on my arm is so much better that I actually had to look for it. I ordered mitts for my boys who have mild acne scarring. I think it might help.

I think my skin started to cleanse itself from within because a lot of hard little scabby things started coming up to the surface. They felt like grains of sugar and I kept scratching them off, so my skin was a bit marked with numerous little scabs, but they healed quite quickly. After they fell off the skin looked good.

I also got a couple of really big pimples—you know the kind that feel like half of your face is getting sucked into them, but they matured, popped (I know it is naughty) and went away within three days. I have not had them for ages, so I am sure that it is the effect of the Baiden Mitten.

My skin seems to heal faster after using the mitt. I lightly nicked the top of my hand and after two days I could not find any trace of it. I think that I might be becoming a Superhero. Cool.

Days 12 and 13

The weekend was very hot. It was heading towards our Australian summer, and we were having an early heatwave. No scrubbing days again.

Because of the heat, my pores were opened slightly, and my face became quite oily. That is different because normally I have dry skin because of menopause. I think it was just a phase because on day 13 it was a bit less oily.

Tip: A good trick to get rid of excess oil is to place a tissue over your face and blot. The oil will get soaked into the tissue, and your face will lose the oily shine again. Repeat when necessary.

Day 14

I did not scrub on day 14, but I had a meeting, so I put makeup on. It glided on so much more smoothly, and the effect was great! I would not say that I now have porcelain skin on my face, but it is definitely a big improvement.

Day 15

Scrubbing day again. I learned a good lesson that day.

I sat in a pretty warm bath (I am not keen on warm baths in summer) for about 1 hour until I looked like a prune and then scrubbed. OMG. So, this is how it is supposed to be done. I did not have to scrub hard at all, and the dirt came in very long and thick rolls. I even did my back by myself, and the rolls of dirt even came off my face. Since I did not have to press hard on my skin, I did not get any skin grazing.

I can only imagine what a combination of the mitten with sauna or Jacuzzi could be! At the moment, I have no way of testing it out, but I will keep it in mind as a thing to do in the future.

I think that for the first time I have actually used it in a way that it was intended to be used.

My Continued Use and Routine

I lost count of the days, but I have not scrubbed again. The little scaly things that I scratched off healed over, and now my skin looks really even in coloring. My hands and feet are amazing, the cellulite on my thighs is way less visible (I am one of those lucky women who does not have a lot of cellulite, but even that little bit looks less), my stretch marks are now lighter and tighter and I had to put a towel in front of the keyboard, because my elbows are so soft that it hurt not to have any padding.

I spoke to the lady who imports Baiden Mittens. She has been using them for over 30 years. She tells me that from now on the difference will be only gradual, and not as extreme as after the first couple of uses, but if I compare my skin now and six months from now I will hardly be able to believe the results. I have seen her photos. Her skin is like a porcelain doll, and she tells me she, and other women in her family that have been using it have never had acne!

I really must check that out. Maybe, as usual, prevention can be better than cure?

After soaking in really warm water, make sure you hang it to dry.

What I Learned After Two Months of Use

  • My skin is no longer as sensitive to the sun. Ever since I started menopause, my skin became super sensitive in many ways, and the worst one of those was that I could not even do as much as to get a newspaper from the letterbox or I would burn. Seeing that I live in a very sunny Australia, it really had an impact on my lifestyle. I felt like a vampire—unable to show my face in a sunny place.
  • Now it takes me a very long time to tan at all (about two hours in the early morning sun) and when I do I tan brown. I have never tanned brown before unless I was extremely careful. Mind you I did push the envelope a bit the other day and went out in midday sun for over two hours, and I did burn, but it was nowhere near as bad as I would have burned if I did not use the Baiden Mitten. In one day, I went from red to deep brown and never even peeled.
  • I can now tell when my body needs to be scrubbed with it because my skin feels clammy, and I feel like I have trouble taking in enough oxygen.
  • I have learned that some parts of my body like my torso need scrubbing more often than the rest of my body, so I now scrub twice a week—whole-body one day, the other times just my torso.
  • When I scrubbed my face twice a week, it actually got worse, not better in that my pores got larger and the skin was not as tight as it normally is. On the other hand, although I only use it on my face once a week now, I can scrub it pretty hard, even on my eyelids, under eyes and on my lips. The result—my eyelids got a lot tighter, and although I still have some wrinkles under my eyes, they only appear when I smile; otherwise, they are not really visible. And my lips—oh, my lips are delicious. Extremely smooth, great color and plump.
  • My very old stretch marks on my tummy have improved dramatically. Mind you, I scrub my tummy very hard twice a week, but the stretch marks are not continuous lines now but have breaks along their length. The outer ones have disappeared altogether. After 30 years, I am again contemplating buying a bikini. Really.
  • Scars are still there, but they have become more wrinkly, so they blend in better. I am not sure if they will totally disappear in time, but I do not really care. Maybe if I had some on my face it would have been an issue but on my knee? Nah.

  • Squeeze as much water out of the Baiden Mitten as you can and your skin needs to be wet. Otherwise, it won't get as much dirt off.
  • Scrub first from side to side and then up and down.
  • Be gentle when you use the mitten at first. I have pressed too hard and got a little bit grazed skin around my nose, under my breasts, and in my armpits.
  • Make sure you have some pure Aloe Vera gel on hand if you are too rough on your skin.
  • Rinse off with cold water.
  • Soak in the tub for a long time before using your Baiden Mitten. It's much easier and faster.

For Face, Feet, and Hands

  1. Rinse the mitt as usual under hot water and squeeze out as much water as you can.
  2. Wrap one corner of the mitt around your "scrubbing finger."
  3. Gently go around your face, your hands and toes—everywhere it is more difficult to do a good job with a full hand.

Share Your Favorite Beauty Products That Really Work...

There must be more of those incredible beauty secrets that are long lasting and therefore not promoted. I mean, if you can achieve an amazing skin with something so cost effective (I mean, it lasts for months if not years...) why would you buy cosmetics that are sold for hundreds of dollars each? If we just would buy what is working and not useless products which are skillfully advertised, most of the beauty industry would disappear! On the upside, we would have so much more money in our pockets.

So, if you know of a great, effective and affordable beauty treatment - do share :-)

Cindy on November 13, 2015:

Thank you for your great, in-depth account, Victoria. I ordered mine in October (2015) and that first scrub was unbelievable - very exciting! I'm 56, and although my skin is fine, great mounds of skin and dirt covered the bottom of the bath. The second peel wasn't as exciting, but the third one, I had a shower first to wash off any oils and body lotion, then soaked for ages in the bath, and again loads came off. I think I've used it three times now, and already my skin is changing.

I have a small sun spot on my forearm that is coming out more and more, and I think it will just disappear. I'm in Australia as well (Qld) and believe that it's the toxins in our skin that causes the sunburn and skin cancers, and your experience confirms my thoughts on that. I've found that I burned more sometimes when wearing sunblock than if I didn't wear any - and I think the chemicals were reacting with my skin in the sun. Not good, when you consider how we're bombarded with slip-slop-slap...

Thanks again for the extensive review. I'd love to see another update a year from now, especially as I'd like to have my capillaries done with the IPL as well. I'd love to see how your skin is after the IPL and further Baiden Mitten peels. Cheers!

Kimberly on June 21, 2015:

I just ordered one!! I am very excited and hope that it truly does work!! I will be very upset at the 50$ if it doesn't .

VictoriaWinnard1 (author) on April 27, 2014:

@fairydust2: You can use any moisturiser that you like, but I came to realize that after such thorough scrubbing anything I put on my skin will go straight into my bloodstream, so I ditched any store-bought cosmetics for a jar of organic coconut oil and - it is FANTASTIC! Much better moisturising than with any other cosmetic before. Not only is my skin super hydrated when using it, but I smell heavenly as well :-)

I take my make up off with a microfibre cloth. You might have to search for a good one, but once you find it, you will never go back to anything else.

fairydust2 on April 27, 2014:

Hi, I loved reading your blog about the Baiden Mitten, I've just started using mine but am not sure if I should be using a facial moisturiser afterwards. Would do you use on your face, if anything and what do you use to take off makeup? Thanks, Kelly.

VictoriaWinnard1 (author) on October 31, 2013:

@scarsnomore: I think you will love it :-) Best thing ever. I have used it for years now and cannot imagine using any other exfoliator tool.

scarsnomore on October 31, 2013:

This sounds really interesting so I think I will buy it and give it a go. If it lasts two years like you say then it is a bit of a bargain and well worth the money.

VictoriaWinnard1 (author) on August 16, 2013:

@anonymous: They were very reluctant to try it, but I gave it to them anyway hoping they would use it. The older one who had bad cystic acne went to college and I saw him 4 months later. His skin was so great that I commented on it. He said that he only uses Baiden Mitten, no soap or cleansers, only the mitt. His skin is amazing.

The younger one is stubborn, but he only had mild acne and it has improved as he got older. I don't think he even knows where his Baiden Mitten is LOL.

anonymous on August 16, 2013:

did you get one for your boys ( i think you wrote you would, to see if it could better their acne...) how did it do? :-) any acne improvements

VictoriaWinnard1 (author) on August 03, 2013:

@anonymous: I bought a new one about 2 years later, but I still have an old one which I use as it has softened slightly and is much nicer on the face. I think just using it on the face I will get another 2 years out of it. How is that for value :-)

Mind you, it does not look as pristine as the new one , but I don't care as long as it still does its job.

anonymous on August 03, 2013:

Thank you sooo much! I just ordered mine and now know exactly how to use it once it gets here!!! One often do you have to replace the mitt?

anonymous on May 20, 2013:

I enjoyed reading your experience. I can't wait to get mine!

anonymous on May 04, 2013:

Ordered mine today cannot wait to receive it!!!! Yay clap clap clap

VictoriaWinnard1 (author) on November 22, 2012:

@anonymous: I wish!

Seriously, it tightens the skin a bit, but it will not perform breast surgery :-(

However, 18 months ago I started eating raw (mainly raw fruit and veggies, nuts and a bit of sushimi and not only did I lose a lot of fat (yay) but also the skin on my whole body tightened and that included my breasts.

Mind you, I did not get boobs as firm as a teenager's, but they are not bad considering my age LOL

anonymous on November 22, 2012:

Hello, Your experience is amazing!! I got the Baiden mitten and I love it, but I am wondering; does it remove breast sagging?

VictoriaWinnard1 (author) on November 18, 2012:

@Leilani-m: Leilani I wrote this lens over 2 years ago and I am still using Baiden Mitten (the same one). My skin is quite amazing now, I don't have any skin issues whatsoever, it is wash and wear these days :-) I cannot imagine life without it anymore.

Leilani-m on November 18, 2012:

this is the first time I've heard of Baiden mitten, and it sounds amazing to me. And the best is: it's all natural! I've had great skin before, but after turning 30, pregnancy and thyroid issues, my skin doesn't look very good. It is great to hear real-life experience

anonymous on August 16, 2012:

I purchased a Baiden Mitten a little while back, and the first time that I used it I didn't notice much exfoliation. The third time I soaked a bit longer, and it was amazing and gross how the dead skin just rolled off of me.

After that, I couldn't stop staring at and touching my skin, it was sooo smooth and beautiful! I am not a vain person, but it started to make me that way, LOL.

Love this mitten, LOVE LOVE LOVE!

anonymous on June 19, 2012:

I have been looking for something to take the thick off me. thank you for your trial, you look great with all the thick skin taken off your face, old age and impurities cause havoc on the skin.

anonymous on May 25, 2012:

@VictoriaWinnard1: Thanks, I'll give it a try.

VictoriaWinnard1 (author) on May 23, 2012:

@anonymous: Yes, it does to a certain point. Unless you change your diet drastically to include a lot more raw fruit and vegetables you will continue to produce cellulite so you can only do so much....

anonymous on May 23, 2012:

Do you know if it helps decrease the appearance of cellulite?

VictoriaWinnard1 (author) on May 22, 2012:

@mihgasper: Anything you put on your face (or your body) after using Baiden Mitten will have a lot more effect because it does not sit on top of dead skin cells but nourishes living, young ones. That is why anything I use after I scrub is natural and organic like avocado, honey, cucumber, yoghurt, extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil (my favorite), or powdered zeolite which I mix in with some purified water and use as a mask. You can actually see the difference straight away.

I am so angry with skin care companies for getting away with thousands of dollars of my money when the real results are so easy and so affordable. That is a mega scam!

anonymous on May 06, 2012:

Thank you for such an amazing blog, for all the time and effort you put in, to share how this Baiden mitten is working for you. Not only am I convinced, and will buy one now, but also all of your tips will help me to get the most out of it RIGHT have definitely shortened my learning curve and I'm very grateful...THANKS!!! Can't wait for that smooth skin!

I love Baiden! This product has done wonders in the last 3 months that I've used it. I massage my face everyday with the mitten in the shower (even eyelids and neck) for firming. Who wants wrinkles? No more rough patches and easy to use. These will make great gifts! Removing old skin cells and toxins off of your body sounds like a good idea to me!

@anonymous: So excited for you! It is amazing feeling, isn't it? Yes, I got few breakouts too, but they very quickly settled. Sometimes I still get them, but they last only a day and just go away. Now, you can throw away most of your cosmetics, I did :-) Or rather I just poured them into a big bottle with some liquid soap and made a wonderful hand wash solution. It was a bit hard putting some of them which cost over $100 but I will never use them now, so at least I put them to some use LOL

iv been Baiden Mitten now for only two weeks, i can also safely say that it is amazing, my skin feels sooo smooth, almost as smooth as my 7 month old sons body! :) i was very sceptical at first as its only a mitten and i thought it couldn't be as great as people are saying, so i gave it a go and i watched in amazement as all the impurities rolled off my skin whilst i exfoliated. it was amazing!! after my bath i felt sooo clean and refreshed, that night i slept in the nude because i loved the feel of my skin against the bed covers, my husband ompliments me already on how smooth my skin is. my face at the moment has broken out in a few spots but i guess that's from all the toxins or whatever are coming out and then my skin will settle down, even though i do have a few pimples my face still shines and feels brilliant!! ladies or men this product is a definite thing we all cannot live without :) give it a try i promise you will fall in love with it as much as i did!! good luck guys :)

My spraytanner was also telling me about this as a great way to exfoliate off my weekly tans ( i do not tan naturally so i am addicted to spraytans) i googled baiden mitt & this was the first post i came across via the Squidoo blog. I am soooo excited to try it, i would also like to thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

@anonymous: I am not sure what the formula for lazer hair removal is, I use pulsed light and I just wash off the cooling gel with water.

I use Epsom Salts in my bathwater if I want to get extra deep scrub, definitely not any exfoliating scrubs or soapy water as this tends to make your skin too slippery for Baiden Mitten to get a good grip.

The spray tanner can stain the mitten very lightly, but does not clog it. It all gets a bit yellow with use, so the color does not look out of place.

I had to renew my mitten only once and it was over 2 years old. It still worked great, but it was a bit tatty to look at so I decide to get a new one.

I came across the Baiden Mitten while looking for ways to remove my spray tan once a week. I am currently getting lazer hair removal and my tech and I had to come up with a way to get the formula off my skin and also exfoliate the darker skin off so the lazer can effectively target the pigment of my hair, not my skin. Some sites recommended lemon juice but I am excited to try the Baiden mitten when it comes. This detailed diary provided some priceless insight for me, thank you SO much for taking the time to share.

Do you use an exfoliating scrub with the mitten, or perhaps soapy water? I am wondering if the spray tanner that I use will stain or clog the mitten at all? How do you know when it is time to get a new mitten?

Thanks a bunch!

@VArce: Yes, the mitten is great for ingrown hair and I found that it makes sensitive skin much less sensitive - such a relief! The before and after pix would be really nice......

@GetFactsnotHype: Thanks for your comment. I went to check out your lens and spent 2 hours buried in all the links. A lot of really interesting stuff :-)

what a useful tool - so simple and effective.

After using the Baiden Mitten just three times, I already see a big change in my skin. I had many bumps on my thighs from wearing long pants at work (pre-ingrown hairs?). Yesterday, while "feeling around" I noticed that more than half the bumps (maybe twenty) are gone. My leg skin feels sleek and different. I'm very excited about continuing with this extremely unique product. I am 55 and my skin, which is sensitive, reacts quite well to the mitten. I really scrub hard and my skin loves it. I've taken some "Before" pix and will try to post in a couple of months. Thanks Baiden Mitten. At my age, I've tried it all and this is the best of the best.

Tried Baiden for the first time last night. Cannot believe how soft my skin is. Even more amazed that it doesn't feel dry, even with minimal moisturizer. And I'm used to using very heavy moisturizer! Can't wait to see what my skin will be like in 2 months

VictoriaWinnard1 (author) on June 14, 2010:

@anonymous: I know how you feel. I hope you will not give into temptation to scrub again the day after your first session - ouch! You really need a week in between sessions to give the skin the chance to recover. It is the closest treatment to microdermabrasion that I know of.

anonymous on June 14, 2010:

i ordered one today and can't wait to get my scrub on!!
