A Review of L'Oreal's Infallible 16-Hour Matte Liquid Lipstick
L'Oreal Infallible 16-hour Liquid Lipstick
This was my first time ever buying and using a L'Oreal product, and I really liked it! It did last for a whole shift working outside and talking to many people while looking presentable so that was a definite plus! That's actually the main reason why I look for "long-lasting" lipsticks.
Shade # 645- Crush Alert
Shade in Crush Alert
I usually shop for lipstick shades either online and take a chance or sample them on the back of my hand under fluorescent lights, but rarely do I see what they really look like outdoors in natural light. But today was a rare day when I had the chance to do so! Fortunately, when I sampled Crush Alert in the store, I compared it to several shades of similar pigments and decided on this one and hoped it would match my complexion and be the right look I was going for.
The applicator is similar to most others, especially of the long-lasting kinds, such as Kylie Cosmetics and Maybelline. It didn't have much of any scent though.

Once applying Crush Alert, it went on really smoothly, which I expected. It was brand new, there shouldn't have been any reason why it wouldn't. It dried fairly quickly and was not sticky in any way either. I just applied it, let it dry for a few seconds, fanned my lips/face to dry it faster before putting my lips back together. It never felt tacky or sticky after drying, which was a very good feeling.
The pigmentation was very good with this L'Oreal product too. I was hoping it would be, especially since it was advertised as "16-hour."
After 6 hours outside
After 6 hours outside!
This lipstick definitely lasted through a whole food serving shift, while being outside and sweating, a LOT! I ate a little bit but nothing too messy or sticky, or anything that would have covered my lips. It looks like it's drying, but I can say it never *felt* drying. L'Oreal advertises that this Infallible Liquid Lipstick contains hyaluronic acid to keep lips moisturized but my lips are always chapped and even more so while wearing most matte liquid lipsticks.
But this lipstick is like most other long-wearing kinds, in that it comes off easily with an oil-based remover, or bath oil itself.
I would definitely recommend this liquid lipstick to anyone interested in using one with longevity and pigmentation and a plethora of colors!
