One Hour Teeth Whitening
We all want that whiter, brighter smile. Sure, it's something that we want partially because the television commercials sell it to us and we're avid consumers of products that will make us prettier. But the truth is that white teeth naturally appeal to us when looking at others and we want to have that same effect on the world around us. And another thing that appeals to us is the ability to get beauty things such as this taken care of quickly, which is why what we're considering now is one-hour teeth whitening. Done at a dental office (or "whitening spa"), these treatments allow us to get our teeth cleaned during our lunch hour and to get back to the office with that brighter smile.
So, we're ready to whiten our teeth at a one-hour spot, but what product is the best product to use? Let's compare and contrast three major teeth-whitening products on the market today: Zoom, BriteSmile and Rembrandt One-Hour to see what our basic options are.
Zoom! is a teeth-whitening procedure which is done by a dentist using a short procedure. First, your lips and gums are covered so that only your teeth are exposed to the treatment. A hydrogen peroxide based whitening gel is applied to the teeth and a special Zoom! light is shined on to the area. You sit with this for 15 minutes, it's removed, it's re-applied and the process starts over. You go through 3 15-minute Zoom! treatments and then you're done. So, it takes about an hour and your teeth reportedly get up to eight shades whiter. There are special products (Zoom! Weekender and Zoom! Nite White Gel) to help the effects last longer but it's reported that your teeth will "always" be whiter than they were when you went in, as long as you maintain basic dental hygiene. It's a treatment that's easy to get because they let you find a nearby dentist who does the procedure online and to easily book an appointment online or by phone.
BriteSmile is the name-brand that regularly advertises "teeth whitening spas" which make the process of getting the treatment done seem like a relaxing treat. The basic process is similar to Zoom! with small variations. The whitening gel is applied to your teeth and a blue light is shined on to them for twenty minutes. The process is repeated twice more for a total of one hour under the teeth lights. So, the process is similar, albeit a bit longer than that for Zoom! but the experience is different because of the spa environment. You're placed into your own whitening station with tv, music and headphones. You can find a spa and book an appointment online. Reportedly, your teeth get up to fourteen shades whiter with BriteSmile and the results "last for years". The advertised cost of the treatment is $400.
Rembrandt One-Hour is similar to both Zoom! and BriteSmile. It's a hydrogen peroxide based product that is applied to the teeth by a dentist using a gel and a special light. The main differences in this one as far as the others go are that it claims to make your teeth up to 10 shades whiter, results last for years but require regular touch-up appointments every few months and cost is determined by dentist so varies from $300 - $500.
In summary, each of these different one-hour teeth whitening programs is more or less the same. Sure, they say that they offer different shades of whitening but the reality is that there's no way to determine exactly what kind of results you're going to get from any of them. The main differences are in cost, location of dentists / spas and their proximity to you and the maintenance required for upkeep after the procedure us complete. If you're looking for a spa experience, BriteSmile is your bet. But if you're looking for low maintenance, Zoom! may be better. Whichever procedure you choose, you can be flashing that new smile in an hour or so.

I've noticed people tend to have different smiles for different things. I am curious as to what other people find out of their significant others smiles they think is the best. The one that gives you that special feeling of love and warmth?

Hiiii.... very helpful stuff is provided by you here. There are many products, available in the market nowadays for making our teeth more white and bright. We should be careful before using these products because they may be harmful for your teeth also, if they contain chemical ingredients.I hope from you to post such helpful blogs in future also.

I just went to BriteSmile - I got a very good discount online but the experience was discounted as well - no music, no TV, no headphones - the hygienist applied the mouth piece (which is very uncomfortable) applied the gel, turned on the blue light and left me in a room for 25 minutes, she came back repeated the process for another 35 minutes. No pictures, no dentist? Are my teeth whiter - perhaps but they don't seem concerned to show you the results - guess you get what you pay for!

People at our blog are saying that zoom can be painful if you have sensitive teeth! Beware!....Whatever you do, brushing systems don't cut it. You absolutely need to use trays.
