These Boots Were Made For Walking...
Let's face it women, as materialistic as this may sound, sometimes nothing feels better then a fantastic new pair of shoes. Especially high heels, no matter what size heel, color, or trend they are enough to make you feel sexy and good about yourself. Often enough, we see the same shoe designers over and over among magazines, television, celebrities, and red carpets. That is because these designers have an impeccable talent in designing some of the most trendiest shoes out there. Nothing like a little retail therapy. Despite the pricey sale tag, their shoes are hot sellers and for good reason. So just who makes the list of some of the top shoe designers out there?
This Spanish fashion designer knows what he is doing when it comes to shoes. He designs every one of the thousands of shoes he has put out there. His business dates back to the 1970's while working in London. Some incorporate his shoes into the favorite made by Carrie Bradshaw in the well-loved HBO series Sex And The City. And he has done it all with out any training! How inspirational is that? It all started when in the 70's, the utterly chunky heel was in style, and Manolo focused his attention on the stiletto heel and the rest is history. He got noticed for his classic, elegant shoes and is now a major world-wide staple for many closets.
Merde, I Love Those Manolo's!

Choo Yeang Keat is a Malaysian fashion designer based in London. Of course, he is best known for his Jimmy Choo shoes! It began in the 1980s inside an old hospital building and is now one of the most expensive high-end shoes out there. His designs were first noticed when Vogue Magazine featured his creations in an eight-page spread in an 1988 issue. He inspires shoemakers and fashion designers everywhere and is well-loved by trendy shoe buyers. Princess Diana was one of his most famous clients. And although Madonna herself said that Manolo Blahniks are "better then sex", it was Jimmy Choo's that she wore on her wedding day!
You cannot mistake the famous red-backing on the soles of this famous designer's stiletto's. This French footwear designer issued a U.S. trademark protection for it. Louboutin helped bring the stiletto style back in the 1990s and is now world-famous for his signature shoes. He spent his early years designing shoes for prestigious designers such as Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent. He has many loyal clients, especially so among Hollywood, but all over the world as well. His shoes are sold in 46 countries! And all you part-time lovers better watch out, "Cus it's the last time, I'm moving on. I'm throwing on my Louboutin's." Thank you Jennifer Lopez.
Nothing can stand in the way of me and my love of MK! Michael Kors has been one of my longtime favorites and I am a proud owner of the gold Glam Studded High Top above. Karl Anderson Jr. created this line and is an American fashion designer. He later changed his name to Michael David Kors as a result of his mother getting remarried. Known for his women's American sportswear line, he has an incredible handbag and shoe line as well. He is also a favorite among celebrities. You can see him nowadays on the Bravo television show Project Runway as a judge.
This is a truly unique shoe designer and it seems that Mr. Louboutin and others is getting quite the competition as this line is getting famous among celebrities. The Italian designer launched his label in 1993 and has his signature trend in his shoes too. His crystal, cutout, studded detailing designs are getting more popular among red carpets and famous feet. Coming from a town with a long time tradition of making shoes, he has been in the business of designing women's shoes for over twenty years. He is now an international favorite. His refined creativity and eye-popping designs promises you will never go unnoticed!
Creative Guiseppe Zanotti
This fabulous and incredibly famous line is not just trendy for their handbags and high-end clothing line, they have great signature shoes as well. Christian Dior was a famous French fashion designer born in 1905 and left us in 1957, but his legacy lives on through his dominating fashion line. John Galliano is now the chief designer for Dior and creates the looks as Christian Dior himself did in his time. The line emphasizes luxury rather than comfort with a truly unique feminine style. The heels themselves are a signature all in it's own with their edgy shapes and carvings.
How many designers out there can call themselves a genius when it comes to shoes? Apparently, there's only one considered and that is Walter Steiger. Why? Because his shoes are classic and innovative. His shoes are also extremely diverse which makes him so much different than any other shoe designer out there. On one table, there is a classic, elegant shoe made for royalty. And on the other table, a tall platform with oversized polka dots! No matter what your style, Steiger has got a shoe for you! He has been known to design shoes for Chole, Oscar de La Renta, Lagerfeld and many more. He presented his first shoe collection in Paris in 1967, and has been a commercial success ever since.
This American shoe designer and model who is from the Chicago suburbs, started out loving fashion at a very young age. He attended Southern Illinois University for Architecture, but eventually resorted back to his first love and began attending NYC's FIT for fashion design. It was then that Atwood began his modeling career. But, something never quite sat right with him. He was on the famous European catwalks during the day, and doodling 4 inch stilettos on paper by night. Little did he know that would be the start of a famous line of shoe collections. He was soon hired by Gianni Versace in 1996 for the accessories division and officially crowned the "Cinderella Factor", meaning the transformation of a woman's face once her foot slides into one of his magical shoes!
This famous shoe designer literally grew up with shoes! His father started a shoe factory in Massachusetts, and it wasn't long before Weitzman was designing shoes for him In the 1960s. Eventually, he went on and founded an international high-end shoe company and his shoes are sold in over 70 countries. Famously, his "million dollar shoes" have been seen on the red carpets. His trademark is the use of innovative quality and materials he has put into his shoes. Which includes vinyl, cork, wallpaper, and even 24-karat gold!

Also Alexander McQueen! I have 5 or 6 pairs and I just adore their designs. Louboutin are pretty but not comfortable. When I was in Paris, I bought 4 pairs but I didn't try them on. When I returned home, it didn't fit nicely. Beautiful but a little disappointed.

I own shoes from all these brands except from Dolce Vita because they're pretty cheap. I only tend to focus on higher-end shoes just because they give you status. Anyways, interesting hub. You could've also mentioned LV, Gucci, YSL and Miu Miu. I love them because they're so high quality and expensive. People obsess over them because of the high status.

I couldn't agree more on the shoes choice! excellent! :)

Hate to be the one to tell ya, but the heels caused that neuropathy. I used to work in the field, saw it all the time. Neuro's and metatarsalgia run rampant among regular heel wearers. Best to take it easy.
Brianna W (author) from East Coast on September 14, 2012:
Love that you are a shoe lover like me Rusti! For my mom it was always, "How do you not break your neck in them things?" lol! Sorry to hear about your neuropathy but glad to hear it is under control. Thanks for reading and the follow!
Ruth McCollum from Lake Oswego, Oregon on September 12, 2012:
A girl's gotta have her heels! I am known in my family to be the prissy one. My dad always said buy quality not quantity. I own at least one pair of all the above designers except for Zanotti, sorry not a big fan. I was recently diagnosed with neuropthy in my feet, and first thing my mother in law said was, "what are you gonna do with all your heels now?"Ha! We got it under control, I'll never give up my heels, that would be like giving away my children! (my kids are grown and moved except one and he's 16 and mom is good for food and that's about it right now lol) I'm just playing my boys and I are close! Great hub! Following you have to love another shoe lover!:-)
Brianna W (author) from East Coast on September 10, 2012:
Laura- Thank you for reading, as yes I see that Dolce Vita is a least favorite but I am optimistic that they will make their way up and they are a fantastic brand!

You are right about having a nice pair of shoes. I started discovering these very expensive shoes and fell in love with them. Good quality is very hard to pass up.
Laura Tykarski from Pittsburgh PA on September 10, 2012:
No one who is a shore-enthusiast should pass up this hub...although after taking the poll I was a bit surprised that my favorite Dolce Vita was on the low end.
Brianna W (author) from East Coast on September 06, 2012:
mattforte- nothing wrong with that at all! I have always loved it when a man has told me what style he likes!
DMVmimay- Girls will be girls haha. We also know what we like. It's all in the style. But I must say, you have some awesome taste. I LOVE Zanotti for his incredibly bold and sexy style in shoes. Props to you!
Phelcky- Thank you! All great choices. Chanel is actually my favorite among handbags, but yes how pricey all of these designers are!
Phelcky on September 06, 2012:
