White Ink Tattoos And Designs-White Tattoos And Ideas-White Ink Tattoo Pictures

Richard Hale is a tattoo enthusiast who studies and researches tattoo symbolism, meanings, and history.

White ink tattoos are done in white ink only and they have no other special meanings. As you may or may not know, it is hard to get white ink to stick to the skin. Not only that, white ink tends to fade a lot quicker then colored ink. You can get any symbol or element done that you want. Although white ink tattoos are not popular, they are very unique and they are still demanded by women and men.

Before you choose to get a white ink tattoo, there are some things you need to know. White ink tends to stick better on those who have pale skin, compared to those who are tanned or colored. White ink also fades very quick. Once it does, your tattoo will look like scars rather then a tattoo. Some men and women believe these scars look cool, others have regrets.

One advantage to white ink tattoos is that they are hard to see. You have to be real close in order to view them. If your looking for a tattoo that can be hidden in a sense, white ink tattoos may be for you. Since you can choose any design or symbol that you want, the possibilities are endless. White ink tattoos can be worn by both men and women, but it appears to be more popular among women.

Since the white ink tattoo is hard to see, many men and women choose to place them all over the body. Even if you are one that needs to hide their tattoo, you can wear them on the wrist and hands without anyone even seeing them. One of the most popular areas that men and women choose to get white ink tattoos is on the bottom side of the wrist. You see this more with women then men. As you read earlier, you can choose to get any tattoo symbol or design that you want. Popular tattoo symbols for women include hearts, stars, vines, flowers, and doves.

Personally speaking, I don't mind white ink tattoo designs. Yes, most men and women want to show their tattoo off and in order to do that, it needs to be seen. It does take a closer look but white ink tattoo designs do show. Some men and women even choose to get white ink tattoos designed with colored tattoos so they are easily seen. I wouldn't advise this but it is your choice. If your getting a white ink tattoo design, you want to make sure it is done correctly. Dealing with white ink is totally different then tattooing with colored ink. White ink is very hard to stick to the skin. Because of this, multiple shades have to be added. This is another downfall to white ink tattoo designs. However, if your looking for a unique tattoo, I believe white ink tattoo designs qualify.

Although white ink tattoos are only in one color, there is a lot you can do with them. Women may want to go with an ivy or vine design. A white rose is a great choice. Men can do a lot as well, such as a tribal or Celtic design. Be sure to take the time to view all the pictures on this page. This will give you a few ideas to possibly help with your white tattoo design.

There are some important things that you need to remember before you choose to get your white tattoo or any tattoo. Remember, white ink tattoos can fade quickly and leave an image that looks more like a scar then tattoo. Also, these white tattoos are hard to see from a small distance. This may either be a good thing for you or bad. Just be sure to remember this.

Make sure you take the time to research your tattoo. You want to make sure you fully understand what your tattoo represents and stands for. Don't rush to get inked! Men and women that rush to get inked without thinking usually have regrets about their tattoo later on down the road. If you are not completely sure about your choice, give it for time. Remember, you are going to wear this for life. If you feel that white ink tattoos are not for you or you want to view more tattoos, please feel free to follow the links below. I love these white ink tattoos. You know, one could be used to detract attention from a nasty scar. They look delicate and nice, just beautiful. I learn so much from your tattoo Hubs that I never knew!

Thanks to you all for taking the time to drop in and read another tattoo article. White ink tattoos are very interesting. Some don't want to share their tattoo as most do, for them, it is a great choice. Some even like the scar look. Always choices.

I think the fact that they aren't that visible makes these types of tattoos unpopular. I don't know that I've ever seen one. Voting this Up and Beautiful.

Neat stuff, although when I first saw the images, they looked, in my opinion like scars or branding. Pretty interesting though. It is kind of cool though because they would work great for those who want tattoos but don't want them to stand out so much. Thanks!

Shining Irish Eyes from Upstate, New York on July 27, 2012:
