Coco Chanel (1883-1971)

13. This French fashion designer dominated Parisian high fashion for nearly six decades. As a result of her elegant, understated designs, many 19th-century women who wanted to dress more comfortably ditched the cumbersome, unpleasant garments that were popular at the time. That "luxury has to be comfortable or it is not luxury" was what she held to be true. Her designs are simple and comfortable, and eventually, her fashion philosophy transformed the entire fashion business. As a fashion icon for women, Coco Chanel is best known for her iconic Chanel suit, quilted purse, and costume jewelry. When she launched her first perfume, 'Chanel No. 5,' in 1921, she made a fortune from it. Chanel's haute couture house has been led by Karl Lagerfeld since her death (1983–2019).

Calvin Klein (Born 1942)

Designers of jeans, women's and men's clothing as well as cosmetics and Perfumes, and bath and bedding linens are big businesses in the US. He established Calvin Klein Inc. in 1968. His design philosophy was to create "simple, comfortable, but exquisite clothing—but nothing over scale or spectacular. This man's brand name clothes were classy and expensive. Wearing it is both comfy and fashionable for fashionistas around the world.

Italy has a well-known fashion designer by the name of Donatella Francesca Versace (18). Versace SPA was created in 1978 by Gianni Versace and is now run by his son, Antonio. With Young Versace, she co-founded Versus, which she and he later became essential. She's in charge of maintaining the company's public image, which she does well. After the death of Gianni Versace, she concentrated on advertising and expanding the brand. Celebrities like Beyonce and Madonna were introduced to the Versace collection by her in the early 1990s.

Giorgio Armani, number four (Born 1934)

20. Italian fashion designer who is best-known in the fashion industry for his opulent yet laid-back approach to fashion design. It all began in 1975 when he started his ready-to-wear men’s and women's clothing line. "I was the first to soften the image of men and harden the image of women," he says of his fashion concept. This is what women wanted and needed—the power suit—and I gave it to men."

Tom Ford, number 22 (Born 1961)

Known for bringing 'Gucci' out of its doldrums, this American fashion designer is one of the most well-known. He served as Gucci's creative director from 1994 to 2004. In 2004, he founded the Tom Ford fashion company. A principal location for the company was established in 2007.

Marc Jacobs (Born 1963)

The "grunge" collection by an American fashion designer is widely recognized. After relaunching his distinctive brand with a menswear collection in 1993, Marc Jacobs formed his international company, L.P. 1993.

Donna Karan

is number 26 on the list (Born 1948)

Donna Ivy Faske, better known by her full name, Donna Ivy Faske, is an American fashion designer. Her clothing designs are known around the world for their simple, yet stylish, incorporation of comfort and ease into fashion. DKNY was launched by Donna Karan Co. in 1988. Bodysuits, dark tights, fitting jackets, and heavy jewelry were some of her defining looks.

During World War II, French fashion designers dominated the industry. He changed the face of fashion by introducing new silhouettes such as the H-line, A-line, and Y-line, among others. When he presented the new design in 1947, he caused a sensation around the world because of its dramatically shortened hemline. It had a tight waist, a full skirt, and petite shoulders.

Stella McCartney, age thirty-ten (Born 1971)

A British fashion designer is well-known for her celebrity-studded clientele and fur- and leather-free clothing. Linda McCartney, an award-winning photographer and animal rights advocate, is the mother of Sir Paul McCartney's daughter. It was in London in 2012 when she developed the Olympic and Paralympic attire for Great Britain's athletes. For her 2018 wedding reception, Meghan Markle wore a custom-made gown she had designed herself.
