What is acne prone skin?

Simply put, if acne breakouts are frequent to you, then you can say you have acne-prone skin. This isn't your regular pimple outbreak which happens sometimes, but instead is a frequent occurrence that leaves your skin with acne and sometimes even inflamed skin.

Oily skin is a type of skin prone to acne, because people with oily skin are often affected by genetic factors and hormone changes. Besides, dry skin can also cause acne because the environment or skin care habits irritate and clog pores.

Acne develops when sebum — an oily substance that lubricates your hair and skin — and dead skin cells plug hair follicles. Bacteria can trigger inflammation and infection resulting in more severe acne.
