I agree...but how many of us are willing to be the "un-perfect" woman? And now the poor men are caught up also, lol. We are who we love ourselves enough to be. I believe confidence will win out over any hardship. :)

C E Clark from North Texas on December 15, 2014:

This looked like a fun article to read and it turns out it was! I don't have a problem with a man being bald and I think it's silly for them to do hair pieces and comb overs. But the pressure that has been on women for decades, to be perfect, now affects men too. I think people should just be who they are. Do reasonable things to be healthy, but when it comes to carving and injecting and having muscle removed from one's legs to make them thinner, and basically invasive crazy procedures, count me out.

Enjoyed this article!

joe on August 25, 2011:

Fact of the matter is that it doesn't make a difference if a guy has a full head of hair or if he shaves his head because he's getting thin or just wants too..

If he is attractive to begin with then he will still be attractive whether he has a full head of hair or a shaved head.

If Brad Pit shaved his head which I am sure he has done before, he would still be good looking..

If an average looking guy shaves his head.. he'll still be average looking.

that's the reality of it....

I've been shaving my head with a razor for years now... and I get plenty of good looking girls... but I've always had the GQ look....

LuvBaldies on May 01, 2011:

Bald-headed men will always be sexy :))))

Kari Poulsen (author) from Ohio on December 10, 2010:

Tom, That's why they make hats! If your girlfriend supports it, I say go for it. Happy shaving! :D

Tom on November 15, 2010:

I can't hide my receding hairline any more and I have been considering the radical option of the razor, and my girlfriend supports the idea.

On this frosty November morning in England though I feel a bit put off by how cold my head will feel!

Should I just get on with it and think of the shampoo I'll save or wait until spring?

Kari Poulsen (author) from Ohio on May 23, 2010:

scentbro, Yes it is! Thanks :D

kea, LOL! I never thought about the waiting you have any vacation time? I like the video also, it shows his sense of humor. His real name was Mark Vincent.

kea on May 03, 2009:

I'm on the way to the bathroom with razor and shaving cream in hand. Only problem is that there is that waiting period, where your newly shaved head is not the same color as the rest of your head. I like the Vin Diesel video. Is that even his real name? It sounds too cool to be real.

Laughing Mom on May 03, 2009:

I give my husband a buzz cut when he needs it----Maybe I'll surprise him next time with a "Yul"! LOL

Kari Poulsen (author) from Ohio on May 03, 2009:

Birte, I'm not sure if it is the bald head, but it sure does help! I may do as you say, then I could include Sean Connery! Good idea!

LM, I'll go do it now! It's either that or write my next hub on Diabetes...not a very hard choice to know which I will enjoy more! I like having you visit, so you'll just have to come by to see them! :D

shamelabbousch, I read that when I was researching this hub. I can't remember what shape it is supposed to be, I think the shape of Vin's! :)

Tom, You should be! You have a beautifully shaped head! Don't ever try to cover it. :D

Tom Koecke from Tacoma, Washington on May 03, 2009:

A lot of people have suggested ways I could cover my baldness, but I was always okay with it. After reading your Hub, though, I'm way more than okay with it!

shamelabboush on May 03, 2009:

Some men are naturally nice looking when they are bald and some aren't. I think it depends on the shape of the head whether it's orbital, square or oblong :) hehe. Just an opinion.

Laughing Mom on May 02, 2009:

Well, they're not here yet, k@ri. But really I come by for just the one.

You know you could just email it to me, but then you'd get alot less views because i wouldn't need to come by so often. :-)

BirteEdwards on May 02, 2009:

Is it the bald head that makes these wonderful actors sexy?

K@ri, just for the fun of it, find actors with hair that are just as sexy, and write a hub about that. There are plenty of them around.

Kari Poulsen (author) from Ohio on May 02, 2009:

EC Mendoza from Philippines on May 02, 2009:

I'm a great fan of Bruce Willis 'coz he looks like my husband (dah! :-) Kidding aside, my husband shaves his head but not as closely shaven as the stars here. Zsuzsy Bee from Ontario/Canada on May 02, 2009:

Triplet Mom, Married to a bald man, how lucky! So, are the myths true?

Hey May, Vin Diesel looks pretty good regardless! And now that you mention it...I'm going to have to go google a pic of Mr. Clean, LOL!

Laughing Mom, LOL! Come on by and look as much as you like! Just say it is for medicinal purposes.

Shalini, Are you back for seconds also?

Bald men do have a certain something! Yul Brynner was too cool...will never forget him in 'The King and I'...loved the way he went "etcetera, etcetera, etcetera"!

Cindy Vine from Cape Town on May 01, 2009:

mmmmmm yum, Vinny baby!

Laughing Mom on May 01, 2009:

Sorry, k@ri. I just can't agree on Bruce Willis.

But there's never been a sexier picture taken then that one of Vin Diesel in the button down shirt! I'm pretty sure my migraine's gone now. WOW!
