Shaving Sucks

Let's face it, ladies, shaving is a chore! I'm sure most men will agree. Whose idea was this anyway? Although I love the smooth baby-butt like finish hair removal produces, it can feel like a second job. If I had it my way, I'd drop myself into a magical vat of permanent hair remover, and be done with regrowth indefinitely.

I have to incorporate a series of different hair removal techniques monthly for my own removal but will try to focus solely on the review of this product for www.bzzagent.com. I'm a consumer, reviews are good!

Shaving is not so bad with the Schick Hydro Silk Sensitive Care Razor, produced by the trusted brand Schick. When you shave often (which we do at least in America) or with a cheap razor you usually end up with chopped up, dry, irritated, razor-burned skin, and sometimes dreaded ingrown hairs! Not with this razor. You don't have to worry about the 5 o'clock shadow for at least 48 hours.

Introducing the Schick Hydro Silk Sensitive Care Razor

The Schick Hydro Silk Sensitive Care Razor boasts ultra moisture, hydration, and a hypoallergenic serum (infused with shea butter) to keep skin protected against irritation. It also has 5 curve sensing blades with skin guards and a beautiful soft touch handle. I like the design. It's a good looking razor. I mean come on, it's a razor. It needs to be able to be held well to glide over your lumpy freak skin.

I have naturally dry skin. Normally I slather coconut oil all over my body before and after shaving to retain moisture and heal skin. When I shave my legs with a razor (which is about every 3 days) my skin gets very dry, it cracks and sometimes flakes. Yuck. My dry skin is worse in the freezing winter weather where I live.

Because of the well-constructed handle and the cute little suction cup included (to secure and store) in your shower, you're unlikely to lose or drop this razor.

Razors have come a long way and since the Schick Hydro Silk Sensitive Care Razor has 5 blades, it plows through hair like a lawnmower through foot high grass. One stroke is all it takes. The curving blades bend nicely to accommodate most shapes and textures. You could probably even grate a carrot or other veggies with it. Perhaps even a block of cheese! Score on multi-use!

Unfortunately, I did not notice much difference with moisturizing when using this razor and still rely on my trusted regimen of oiling up. But it did do something, I'm just not sure how or what. My skin did not nearly have irate and dry when I was done. I got at least 10 leg shaves off one blade, which I thought was great and rather economical. The only noticeable thing I'd change about this product is the packaging, it's just too excessive and wasteful for my taste. It really doesn't need all the fluff. The product works. The overall shave is nice, and I can say I did not have the typical irritation, that I usually notice right after a shave. I've tried waxing my legs and epilating, and those methods just can't beat a razor for smooth skin. So for my legs, this is a keeper. Well, I epilate first then follow up with a shave for a 6-week hair free effect. It's a good razor, it will do the job for a typical shave. It will do the job better than other similar products on the market, there is no doubt about that. Bypass those cheap dollar store blades!

Being that Schick is a well known and trusted brand, they tend to be a little pricey. If you want an exceptional shave, you'll be willing to pay the price. Luckily it's easy to find at Kmart, Walmart, Kroger and other popular retailers from anywhere from $7 USD to $12. Refills are always more expensive, refills for this one are competitively priced. Price aside, one razor seems to withstand about 10 full body shaves! That's a great thing for a disposable razor.

This is a great razor and worth trying! You won't regret it.
