These are my favorite articles to write, because it is in these articles that we get to demonstrate (when I say we, I mean me, and the lingerie wearing men who read and so graciously contribute to these articles,) that men do look great in women's clothing.
It's summer time in the northern reaches at the moment and women are enjoying wearing all manner of pretty and interesting bathing suits, whilst their male counterparts languish in swim shorts, or are teased half to death for wearing speedos.
But some men are wearing whatever they want to wear, and they're wearing one piece swimsuits and bikinis to their heart's content. They're even wearing it outside, where other people may look upon them.
This is perhaps my favorite picture of a man in a swimsuit so far, and it comes once again from the lovely Cyndie who has modeled a wide range of feminine attire around these here parts. What I love about this picture is the fact that the swimsuit is so feminine and he looks so lovely and feminine wearing it too.
This suit doesn't just demonstrate that women's swimsuits can look good on men, it is a testament to the power of a good cut creating a feminine experience. Note the way that the skirt, with it's slight overhand and little bit of flair creates a better waist for a man. These tricks work for women too, which is why these garments exist. I remember reading an article from another hubber, Isabella, who commented that the difference between a fat woman and a sexy woman is a waist. If a woman has no waist, she simply looks rotund, and if a man has no waist when he wears women's clothing, then he looks much more out of place and overtly masculine in his clothing, so take note of that little fashion tip chaps, it will stand you in good stead.
If you would like to share your own pictures wearing swimsuits, lingerie, dresses or what have you, why not send them along to email@example.com all submissions are treated with the greatest confidence, and it is a great way to strut your stuff and show the naysayers just how wrong they are when they assume that feminine clothing should be left to women.
If nothing else, I hope you enjoy this hub and come to realize that many men wear lingerie and other items of women's clothing, including bikinis and swimsuits. It is nothing to be ashamed of, and it is so widespread that it barely even counts as being an oddity. Embrace it, enjoy it and live your life as it pleases you.

My wife likes to see me with bikini tan lines. When I am that way it gives her more control over me and I love it. The best is when she takes me to the hair salon where she works and I get a new hairdo and makeover. All of the stylists there enjoy working on me and tease me about making me a sissy.

Going to the Gym on June 06, 2019:
I took some time to build up the courage for anything.
1st, i was going to the gym, which also has a pool, sauna and steam room. After a while i got enough courage to do my workout, then go back to the change rooms and put on a bikini bottom. I wore them into the steam room under my towel. Once in the steam room i got bold and took off my towel.
2nd try i did my workout and then changed into the bikini pants and put my speedo's over them. I went out and swam my laps, sat in the spa for a bit and so on.
3rd attempt i got bolder a bit. I put the pants on under my shorts and went to do my workout. I hadn't planned on it, but about half way through i saw myself in the mirror. SHOCKED! I realised my white short weren't thick enough and you could see the shade of the pink bikini pants through them. No one had said anything so i finished up and went to the steam room. I was feeling confident, so i took off my shorts in the change rooms and walked into the steam room in just the pants with my towel over my shoulder.
After a few more build ups i finally got to my goal. I put on my bright pink speedo, my white shorts and a white shirt and headed to my workout. A few people looked, but nothing too much. I went out to the pool afterwards and it took a bit, but i waited till only one teen girl was left in the pool. I stripped down to my speedo and went in for my swim. A few people came and went, and a few stayed. No one said anything, but i got some stares. I got out, toweled off and headed to the steam room. I walked right through the gym, main hallway and into the change rooms in my speedo.
Nowadays, i don't wear anything else to do my workouts except my speedo's. I don't know why, but i always love the bright colours, but whatever.

Several years ago while traveling I finally got up the courage to wear a womans swimsuit in to an indoor hotel pool. It was evening and the pool was deserted, but I knew there were security cameras. I had a womans black athletic suit that I wore to the pool under my shorts and T shirt. I ditched the shorts and went swimming with the T shirt cover. After a few laps, I got the courage to ditch the T shirt and swim more laps in just the black suit. It was quite a thrill, espically when the teens showed up and started playing basketball on the outside court. They had a full view of the pool through the glass, but paid no attention to me. I know the pool was under security cameras, but I never heard anything from the hotel staff (probably weren't paying attention) I got out of the pool and went into the hot tub, purposely leaving my T shirt and towel away from the area. An oriental couple showed up with their young kids. They both looked at me when I got out of the hot tub and I know they saw what I was wearing. I slowly walked over to my towel, dried off, pulled on my T shirt, and walked out of the pool area across the lobby, and into the elevator with the wet T shirt not quite hiding the black female 1 piece swimsuit. Was quite a rush....

I have been wearing women's bikini bottoms for years! They feel so good and they make me feel sexy! Don't get me wrong, I am NOT gay, I love women and the female form. I guess I have a swimsuit fetish. Some of my favorite bottoms are Victorias Secret, Ujena and Venus as far as the feel of the fabric on my male body.

The fact is I like the one piece woman's swim suit better than the swim trunks that I used before. They are more comfortable and give you more freedom of movement. They also hide more of the problems and marks I don't want to be showing. They also give me more support in the stomach and mid back, this makes me look thinner and taller. Thank you for your advice on body shape and what suit would go with them. I found that if you don't wear something to showy no one will bother you with one on. I did have a young couple say to me one time if you like it and your comfortable in it go for it, you look good in it
I'm still getting used to the idea of using one out in public, my girl friend is getting the of liking it somewhat. If you like it and do it properly and don't bother others about it you will enjoy your self a lot. Have fun and live your way not others.

This summer for the first time in a while I wore a one piece woman's swim swim suit to the beach, and enjoyed it a lot, thanks to your blog about how to pick a proper one like above. I red this first and decided to go and enjoy it. The skirted style or swim dress style is grate because it gives you freedom and your not all tangled up in those swim shorts that a man would wear on a regular basses. After having some surgery I look better because it hides the marks, and I feel a lot slimmer in one.
Being free to dress like this is grate as long as the person above stated its up to you what you wear,as long as you do it in good taste.
Comfort is important while you are swimming and just walking around on the beach, so this suit ( one in picture above) is grate for that.
Richelle on November 08, 2015:
I like the post you did on this subject, it gave me the courage to go out and use a one piece suit in public. As long as you don't do something stupid I found people will not say anything about you in that style suit. I don't like the old men's style short any more, they are uncomfortable. They also cover up things like scars and other marks, along with hiding man boobs. The comfort level is right up there at the top.
Richard Roper on October 25, 2015:
This summer I was able to wear a one piece suit much like the one at the top of the page. As a man it was a bite hard at first to go out with one on but after being out there for a while and getting some nice comments about it I was good with it. A good swim suit like that can be very comfortable, and hid a lot of the fat and other marks. The comfort part is what I like about them, then how good they can ,make you look and feel. Now days in some areas there are a lot of men using them, and some women will give advice on the proper size and colors to make you look even better and feel good about getting a suit like that. Some two piece suits are just as comfortable and if you get the proper one you will looks grate in them.
richelle on September 09, 2015:
I like both the one piece and the bikini I have used bot on the beach and it was a little hard the first time but after that I was used to it and had no problems just walking out there and having a good time in the sun and swimming in them. I find that if the suit fits properly people wont say anything, you might get a funny look from some but you just let it go and enjoy your self I do. Thanks Hope for this blog it gave me the courage to first go out and do it. Now I'm glad I did.

If you are not acting silly and you look good and feel good in a ladies swim suit then go for it. Like skyhigh727 they are more comfortable, and you can move around a lot more freely in in them. They also hide some of the things like marks from surgery and stretch marks, and even some of the fat that is around the mid section.

I don't have a "speedo body" but, one day, while at Penneys I bought an unlined woman's nylon bikini bottom swimsuit to wear in our pool and at the beach. It fits and feels great. What a difference from the heavy, baggy trunks and it is much lighter than a Speedo. I wear them now all the time in our pool or at the beach. I have yet to encounter any negativism from anyone.

to tattoocowboy - one piece swimsuits are often measured by torso length. males have longer torsos (usually) than simularly sized female counterparts. most of the better women's swimsuit companies usually will state someplace on their website that statistic same as listing petite, avg. or talls.

I realy love to see men in womens clothes after all women have taken their clothes over and nobody care's. Men should wear whatever they like and do so openly after all some men do look good in them the more men that come out of the closet and wear them every day the better. That will also put the so called self appointet bigots in their place I say goodluck to men go for it.

Hi i love to wear womens clothes and think every man should just wear them if the want to. What the hell difference dode it make it is just material if they are happy with it go ahead. I think it is women who cause the problem objecting thinking that there is something sexual behind it but i can assure them that there isn't it is just the joy of wearing them. I have no problem wearing all the items but am afraid to wear all in public because of the way women object and also some narrow minded men who will take it upon themselves to beat me up. Otherwise i would wear them all openly.

I bought my first bikini this past month, took a lot of nerve to wear it outside the yard. Went one day to the beach, went on an off day, checked out the beach for how many people, it was quite an adventure to wear a bikini top and bottom onto the beach, quite a few looks but once I was on the sand and down on the towel things settled down. the walk on to the beach and off were the most tense. I will wear this bikini again in public as I really like it and don't really care if others do or not, I did nothing wrong!

I for one am glad that men have begun to come out of the closet and wear what they want, weather it's woman's or men's clothing, I for one find some of the woman's fashion more tasteful, men's clothes have always been and still continue to be rough, bland and uncomfortable especially in the crotch area. I wear what feels good on me, not what society says I should and so should everyone else.

I have been wearing micro mini swimsuits for years. Have two from Koala in Ca. One is a black shock thong. It has the absolute smallest pouch one can imagine. It takes some work to get into it, but is worth the effort. The other is a pink jewel box bikini. The front is semi sheer and is pencil thin. The back is rather small. Both of these suits will give you a maximum tan with minimum coverage.
Taram on July 23, 2009:
Good article. There should be a place where man can openly wear lingerie, sarees, bra and blouses whatever men like to wear woman's dress similar to naked beaches.

I have two Adidas 1 piece swimsuits and 1 Speedo high neck swimsuit with zipperback. I have worn the Adidas swimsuits at hotel pools when on travel and recently to the beach. I get a few looks but no one has ever said anything. Swimming in a 1 piece swimsuit feels really good with the suit hugging your body.

Glad you liked the article guys :) I do take cues from the men who write to me, so this piece was really a request piece from a few guys who mentioned that they liked the look and feel of a one piece swim suit.
GoneNylon on July 15, 2009:
Cyndie looks lovely in that suit. Looks like a skirted tankini, and is quite flattering.
With the myriad suits available to reduce tummies, such would be more than appropriate for a lot of us 40-something guys who are unafraid of the stares, smirks and giggles of the madding crowd. As Shakespeare had Henry V say "Let us be makers of fashion, and not followers of it."
In reality, competitive suits are now much more like unitards, if one watches swim meets. Why can't men have those on the beach? It would represent, really, a step back toward earlier suits, if one recalls the swim/beachwear of the early 20th century. Cyndie's choice is especially wise, given the fact that it covers any potentially "lewd" lines created by male anatomy, unlike the Speedos you've referenced, and which should probably be outlawed for the vast, less-than-perfectly toned majority of humanity.
Nice job hitting a topic that has gone largely undiscussed within the larger subtopic of "womens" wear as worn by men.
RD on July 15, 2009:
Hope, 1st and foremost, I LOVE your hubs and think you are an amazing woman. 2nd, I think the one piece looks great. (Pink bikini is cute, too). I would love to wear swimwear like this to the lake. Unfortunately, I might as well just wear a target. If only more people were tolerant. I just like to be comfortable. I hate the look of "Baggy Shorts" swimwear and find it very uncomfortable. There are only a handful of men in the world that are built to wear a Speedo and I am NOT one of them. I like the fit and feel of Spandex and am more comfortable with more of my body covered so many of the swimsuits offered to women appeal to me. I really like some of the "slimsuits" that are available. They are great for one's appearance and figure. I can only hope for evolution of the general public to be less critical of others and what they choose to wear. After all, it's only fabric. Just because it is cut a particular way or has a specific print, why should it be limited to one gender or the other? Bless you, Hope and keep up the great hubs.

About time men have started to, wear clothing normally worn by women at last the men can now get satisfaction from beautiful clothes. Men should wear whatever they like just like the way women took over mens clothes. Lets see more men do it regulary and in the open. The more that doo the sooner men will have their own supply of ladies clothes sold in mens shops the sooner the better.
