Walking A Fine Line or Maybe It's With Fine Lines
I'm 47 and not getting younger. However, in a desperate attempt to ditch the wrinkles without turning to botox or surgery the journey of going natural turned out to be expensive and without results. So I started looking into other types of products that would keep me out from under the knife and needle.
Natural Oils Had Minimal Results
Before using Rapid Wrinkle Repair products I tried Olive Oil, Rose Hip Oil, Castor Oil, Egg Whites...lol. I didn't want to spend the money. However, with the time I spent researching natural remedies that just didn't do much to repair or reverse damage I could have easily been earning the money for my Rapid Wrinkle Repair regimen.
I saw some videos on chemical peels you could use at home. I bought one thinking I would use it when I had a week to recover. It's still in my cabinet because I just don't have that long of a break for recovery. Maybe one day I'll get that break and try that chemical peel.
Continuing my research for turning back the clock I came across some videos on retinal. This was something I could use daily and see results over time.
This may have been the fountain of youth I've been looking for!
How Does Retinal Reduce Fine Lines?
Retinoids are vitamin-A based products that reduce fine lines by increasing the production of collagen and increasing cell turn over. You'll notice an improvement in skin color because retinoids also stimulate the production of new blood cells.
Over a period of about 3 months you'll see age spots begin to disappear and rough patches begin to soften. Within 6-12 months you will notice more drastic results.
Rapid Wrinkle Repair with Retinol SA by Neutrogena
I finally found my product. Rapid Wrinkle Repair with Retinol SA by Neutrogena. It has the most retinal available over the counter. I wanted to do it right so I jumped all in. I bought the Rapid Wrinkle Repair Serum, Rapid Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream, and Rapid Wrinkle Repair Fragrance Free Regenerating Cream. I also bought the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream for those days when my skin would need a break from the retinal. At the time of my initial purchase there was not a cleanser in that line so I bought the Hydro Boost Hydrating Gel Cleanser.
Since then a new face cleanser has been released that is AMAZING! It's the Rapid Wrinkle Repair Prep Facial Cleanser with Glycolic Acid! At the same time Neutrogena released Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Oil. I love this because it gives you a glow so you don't look as flaky. Honestly it's a personal preference since both serums work great!
I've noticed a huge reduction on fine lines and the biggest difference beside and between the eyes on lines.
(I'll put some links below so you can see which products I used)
How I Use The Product
- Before bed I wash my face with a combination of the Hydro Boost Cleanser for the eyes and Rapid Wrinkle Repair Prep Wash for the remainder of the face.
- Allow face to dry completely.
- Apply eye cream by patting on with ring fingers.
- Apply Rapid Wrinkle Repair Serum or Oil Serum on remaining areas of face.
- Wait a minute and apply Rapid Wrinkle Repair Regenerating Moisturizer. (for daytime apply the Rapid Wrinkle Repair Anti-Wrinkle Retinol Daily Face Moisturizer, with SPF 30
Before and After 1 Month
- If you notice too much flaking above the upper lip try alternating with Hydro Boost Water Gel in that area.
- Apply lip balm before using product to prevent lip chapping.
- Use every third day for the first two weeks to let your skin adjust to the retinal.
- Don't use chemical peels while using retinal based products.
- Don't use retinal on neck area.
This is the most amazing product I have found over the counter for wrinkle repair. It REALLY DOES WORK! I will continue to use Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair until there is something out there that can surpass it's surprisingly real results.
It doesn't just fill in lines, it produces cell turn over so that your skin can actually renew itself.
About Glycolic Acid
Glycolic Acid is a chemical exfoliant. It removes buildup on the surface of the skin to result in a smooth, bright appearance. It allows your skin products to penetrate and work as they were meant to.
About Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic Acid is naturally found in the skin. It keeps skin plump and hydrated. You will find this ingredient in many moisturizers made for extremely dry skin. It is also recommended to use after chemical peels. It is not harsh to your skin. In fact it is very moisturizing.
