My Review Of Corpore Sanctum's 2019 Skincare Collection!

It's been a minute since we last talked about Corpore Sanctum's fun-filled, Korean inspired beauty products, and this time I'm back to talk with you about my experience of using the most recently launched 2019 skincare collection which includes the Tonify Me Bunny, BaseX Collagen Boost Essence and BaseX Night Renew Serum!

Disclaimer: These products were very kindly sent to me for reviewing purposes, however all opinions shared are my own. This review also contains a discount code.

What Makes Corpore Sanctum Different?

If you are new to this blog (hello and welcome!), then you're probably wondering what sets Corpore Sanctum apart from other cruelty-free companies out there.

Well, there are a number of things that make CS an upstanding company. To begin with, all of the products they produce are paraben-free and contain only natural and organic ingredients which are suitable for vegans - and at affordable prices, they are accessible for everyone.

As well as this, they generously donate 5% of all their revenues to different Animal and Environmental Charities. This means that with every purchase you make, you are not only showing support for the company, their products, and their ethics but you are also playing a huge part in changing the world for the better.

But if you thought choosing sustainable skincare was going to be boring, think again. Being inspired by popular Korean beauty trends means that Corpore Sanctum are constantly coming up with new, quirky packaging that looks amazing on display -say goodbye to clusters of ugly plastic bottles on your dressing table!

When I started Corpore Sanctum, I wanted to bring ''Greener'' Korean products that resonated with western beauty culture.

As a vegan, I became more and more aware of how flawed the traditional beauty paradigm is and decided to create a range of 100% natural products that were both Fun to use & Sustainable for Mama Nature.

Tonify Me Bunny: Tonifying Vitamin C Face Mist (70ml)

I'll be honest, when it comes to completing my *lengthy* morning ritual (skincare, makeup, hair...well, you know the drill!), I'm often so caught up in my end goal (getting ready before it gets dark outside) that I completely forget to use a primer before applying my makeup.

I know some of you are probably cringing at just reading that blasphemous admission, but I also know a lot of you reading this are guilty of the same crime, am I right? Thought so.

Anyway, thanks to Corpore Sanctum, I have no longer been forgetting this all-important step in my routine. After all, it's pretty much impossible to forget about a product as aesthetically pleasing as the Tonify Me Bunny!

But while the adorable, powder pink, rabbit shaped packaging is undoubtedly what will draw you in at first, we all know that its what's inside that really counts...

This is how the product looks with the lid on.

What's In The Tonify Me Bunny Mist?

For £12.99 you will receive a 70ml product chock-full of ingredients that you're skin will love you for; including rose flower water (which helps to maintain the skin's pH balance) and citric acid which promotes new skin renewal while alleviating the appearance of those pesky fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars.

Does It Work?

The first thing I noticed about the Tonify Me Bunny (besides the wild packaging!) was the refreshing scent of rose which always makes cosmetics feel that little bit more luxurious.

As for the application process, I've found that three sprays of this tonifying mist is enough to cover the entire face which then absorbs into the skin very quickly, however I always ensure to wait at least a minute before moving on to the next step in my routine.

Allowing the toner to work its magic for the recommended time frame before applying any more products is what will give your skin a smoother, healthier and brighter appearance with less visible pores - but like any other product on the market, the vitamin C face mist should be used consistently in order to maintain the desired results.

When it comes to using the mist as I makeup primer, I've noticed that my regular foundation feels a lot easier to apply and after blending I'm left with a smoother finish which lasts throughout the day. Another trick I have discovered with this product is that on bad skin days, (or days when I'm going out, out) spraying another layer of the mist on top of my makeup gives a subtle glow and calms any redness that might be peaking through.

The BaseX Collagen Booster Essence (30ml)

In recent years, Matrixyl 3000 and Hyaluronic acid have taken the beauty world by storm thanks to the anti-aging effect they have on skin due to encouraging collagen production - but unfortunately, many products containing these two must have chemicals are less than budget friendly...

Enter Corpore Sanctum's clinically inspired anti-aging skincare duo The BaseX which you can grab for just £14.99 on their website!

The Collagen Booster Essence is the first step in this kit which (as you might have guessed) aims to boost collagen production while giving your skin a burst of intense moisture.

My Thoughts On The Collagen Booster Essence...

The Collagen Booster Essence is a 30ml product which comes in a high quality glass vessel that is topped with a dropper for an easy application.

Following the instructions on the label, I cleansed my skin as normal before reaching for the collagen booster and immediately after opening the product I was taken in by the pleasant scent of Aloe Vera.

The lightweight formulation of the essence makes for a quick and easy application since the product absorbs into the skin in no time at all without leaving any sticky residue or flakiness unlike some serums I have trialled in the past.

Confession time: I've become so obsessed with this product that I've actually taken to using it twice daily (once in the morning, and once later in the evening after removing my makeup) because I love the moisturising and calming effect it has been having on my skin.

The BaseX Renewing Night Serum (30ml)

Next up we have our third and final product: The BaseX Renewing Night Serum!

The night serum is packaged in the exact same way as its daytime counterpart, however the formula within is completely different. Where the Collagen Booster Essence is lightweight and quickly absorbed, the Renewing Night Serum is very oily and takes a little bit of extra blending before it is fully soaked up.

This is because the product is rich in marula oil and apricot kernel oil as well as being packed with Oleic acid and Vitamin E - a concoction that works to renew skin cells by restoring essential fatty acids in your skin all while you sleep!

My Thoughts On The Renewing Night Serum...

I'll admit I was dubious about putting any form of oil on my face at first, but after doing some research and discovering that marula oil is clinically proven to be beneficial for all skin types including oily, acne-prone, dry and aging skin; while apricot kernel oil works to sooth and soften even the most sensitive skin, I was eager to see what it could do for me.

Since I started using the serum religiously each night, my combination/acne prone skin has become more manageable and has taken on the promised glow.

Although going to bed with a slightly oily face does take a little bit of getting used to, the soft and supple skin I'm left with each morning is definitely worth it.

Overall, I'm very impressed with how well these products have worked on my skin. Yet again Corpore Sanctum have proved that switching to sustainable skincare, doesn't mean compromising on quality or on affordability.
