1. Address Your Hair Problems:
First and foremost, figure out your hair problems. Figure out whether you have grey hair, dandruff, scalp itching, or hair fall. Treat your hair at home first by yourself rather than going and getting chemical treatments at the salon. Chemical treatments can give you an instant result but can cause more issues in the future.
Your mother or grandmother must have known some home remedies to treat your hair problem. Start using home remedies at least six months before your special day. Natural ingredients can take time to show results, so use them early. You may work with a dermatologist regarding your issues and ask for some safe treatments with long-run effects.
2. Take Enough Nutrients:
Often, women are busy in their life, and they may not get enough time to take care of their diet. We have more priorities other than taking care of our health. To achieve healthy skin and hair, a nutritionally balanced diet is crucial. You may add leafy green vegetables, nuts, eggs, carrots, spinach, citrus fruits, flaxseeds, pulses, legumes, cheese, or fish to your diet. Our hair needs some extra vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants including, biotin, Omega-3 fatty acids, folic acid, and vitamin A, C, D, E, B.
3. Stay Hydrated:
Water might be tasteless to drink but has a vital role in our life. Our body is composed of 60% of water. So our body might not work without water but can do without food. Dehydration results in dry, dull skin and increases hair fall. Due to hectic schedules and busy life, we forget to drink enough water. Dehydration makes the hair shaft weak due to a lack of moisture. So it is ideal getting in the habit of having water after some intervals.
4. Hot Oil massage:
We Asians cannot underestimate the hot oil massage by our grannies. Massaging your head with hot oil twice a week is all-time favorite therapy for hair. It is a tried and tested method of making your hair healthy and shiny. This therapy not only strengthens your hair but also provides you relief from stressful work. It prevents hair fall, breakage, and split ends but provides movements to your hair.
Start using this therapy at least four months before the wedding. You can use any oil of your choice or a mixture of two or three oils. Heat the oil and directly apply it to your scalp and massage it to get the oil absorbed into your scalp. Leave it on for at least 1 hour and then shampoo it.
5. Hair Treatment:
In hair treatments, a spa is essential to get the moisture back to the hair. Another hair treatment you could get at the salon is keratin treatment, and you can ask for any hair color with this treatment. Keratin and hair spa treatments are not harmful to hair, though they provide shine and strength to your hair.
You can do a hair spa even at home, either by purchasing the spa cream or making it home. You must start doing hair spa approximately two-three months before the marriage.
6. Avoid Stress:
Stress is something you might get effortlessly due to pre-bride preparations, shoppings, or selecting the wedding dress. It is the biggest reason for hair fall but, the good thing is you can control your stress level while performing small changes in your routine. You can do yoga or meditation to keep yourself optimized and energetic. You need to take care of yourself as much as you can. Remember, a wedding is a one-time event of your life, so don’t spoil it by taking unusual stress. Enjoy your pre-bridal hair care sessions, pamper yourself, go to a salon for pedicures or manicures. Do things that could make you feel better and relieved.
