The best eyeshadow colors for brown eyes are the ones that bring out your beauty and complement your natural coloration.
In this hub we go over these specific colors of eyeshadow for brown eyes and explain some of the best ways you can wear them.
When in doubt as to what color eye makeup you will look good in, always reach for light brown. This is a no-fail because the brown pigment in your eyes is already your indication that this is a good color for you. It's built into your DNA!
To get Catherine Zeta Jones' look (picture, above), coat your lid with light brown shadow -- smeared a little past the outside of your eyes, apply black or dark brown liner -- also extending past the outside of your eyes, then finish with two coats of mascara on your upper lids only.
It might be a surprise for you to see violet, but this is an especially good shade for women with very dark hair and light skin. Violet looks good, in fact, on most women. This is because it is a color given to us by nature that shows through our skin in our veins.
To get Monica Bellucci's look (picture, above), have both light violet and dark violet shadows handy. Coat your lid and area below your lower lash line in dark violet. Then apply light violet shadow along the crease of your eyelids. Apply black eyeliner with medium thickness around your entire eye, then apply three coats of mascara to your lashes.
Pale blue is one of the best eyeshadow colors for brown eyes. It works best on olive-skinned women and black women because pale blue resonates against darker tones. Be aware that this shade is usually best kept for parties or nights out on the town.
And even though pale blue can be a shocking shade to see at first, you can sometimes safely coat your full eyelid AND entire area under your brow with the color just like Kim Kardashian does (picture, above).
You can also coat just your lid with pale blue shadow and coat the area below your lid in pearl colored shadow. That is a beautiful look, especially for women of Japanese or Chinese descent.
