Incorporate these easy-to-make recipes into your regular facials, and see the results!

Depending on your skin, you may find that some work better than others for your individual needs, so try them all at least once. Rotate the most effective remedies to ensure you do not over-expose your skin to certain ingredients, which may be too strong for daily use.

Spot treatment might be the best option for small breakouts. This can make sure that just the afflicted areas. Try to find treatments containing salicylic acid, salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. There are many remedies that you could find online too.

One good tip for us shiny-faced folks is to make sure you moisturize daily. I know it seems counterintuitive, but giving your skin some moisture will prevent it from over-producing oil.

Also, check out my other Hubs with natural skin treatments. I have laid out what each treatment is best for.

A friend of mine came across a cleanser for your face, all you need is an egg!!

Crack open the egg and separate the yolk.

Smear the white of the egg over your face and leave to dry. Rinse.

Actually I changed it by warming it a tiny bit... I must say.. it really improved my skin overnight. I will continue to use this. Also, I have learned this.. even those with oily skin should moisturize! I use a very light and breathable facial moiusturizer meant for sensitive skin!

Good luck!

Where is everyone finding Lady Soma products? I have never heard of the brand before, but really want to give it a try! I just Googled it, and cannot find anything...

Maddy Padge on October 26, 2011:

Previously, I used soap and I would get breakouts occasionally. Then I tried Neutrogena which made me break out badly and I stopped using it after a week and went back to soap. Then I did some research online and decided to try Lady Soma's Antioxidant Berry mask and what a great purchase.

Once per day, I have been using Lady Soma's Antioxidant Berry mask and it has been great to me. It has not only prevented breakouts, but it is also clearing out the little white heads that were on my forehead (I have oily skin) and blemishes. It's not a harsh product either and feels rather mild. I can see why everyone loves this mask!

Kellie on October 26, 2011:

I would reccomind lemon juice and water! It works magic for me. I have suffered from bad acne for awhile now and I just recently started using a product called dermalogica clean start. My face looks amazing. Its natural gental. Kinda pricey but soo worth it. Hope I can help!!

Would the baking soda-bran pack get rid of my acne in just one day? I really need to get rid of all my blackheads and pimples...

Thank you for your feedback(:

Maddie Ruud (author) from Oakland, CA on September 09, 2011:

Peaches won't help you, Ashley, but you can make the baking soda-bran pack with oatmeal. I'm sure you have baking soda in the house; just ask one of your parents where it is.

Ashley on September 08, 2011:

Hi, I am in the same situation as Tyler, but I only have peaches and oatmeal at my house. Would the Peach mask get rid of my acne? (I am also thirteen years old)

thanks

Maddie Ruud (author) from Oakland, CA on September 08, 2011:

Hi Tyler,

I would crush some garlic and apply it to the affected areas (as in the garlic mask described above). It stings, but it really works to clear up breakouts. Then, before you go to bed, you can apply a spot treatment on any particularly big pimples or blackheads. I recommend a dab of toothpaste (if you have a non-whitening toothpaste), or a paste of baking soda and water, to draw out the moisture. Good luck!

Tyler on September 08, 2011:

Hi, I am thirteen years old.

Do you have any easy-to-make home remedies that will get RID of blackheads on noses and pimples on foreheads?

THANK YOU.

One thing that worked really well for me is sandalwood paste, but you have to use it every day. The nice thing is that it doesn't dry out or irritate the skin (quite the opposite).

the toothpaste thing really does work. the thing is you just have to do it in the pimple area... if you spread it around like a mask it tends to dry out the rest of the skin and make you look red all over
